OPINION - Alicorn OC Representation #1

Well, I'm in the process of developing my MLP:FIM Fan Film in the future (with an approx. length of 135 mins). However, I want to ask, and please be descriptive, on-topic, and structured b/c I would like to hear strong opinions. These fan films have Alicorn OC's which, you can say are "Gods" but I made them as detailed as possible (the full info for each of them will be release in the coming weeks). For now I have partial so I want to ask.

Would, in your opinion, it be wise for me to have "biblical" references to these characters. Here are the List of characters (there's only 4 presented, but there are 6 in total):

Timaeus - Roman/Greek/Mayan, represents Chronos, God/Father of Time. Youngest of the three guardians, and represents Archangel Michael, and Horseman of Famine.

Ironwing Paguseus - Greek/Aztec/Egyptian, represents Chronos as well (Only in this case, God of Spaces *dimensional spaces*). Archangel Raphael, and Horseman of War.

Alteros - Greek/Roman/Egyptian/Inca, represents Chronos (Only for him, he is the God of Distortion and Alterations, that because it involves universes). He represents Archangel Gabriel and Horseman of Conquest.

Emperor Tyrannus

*he's the antagonist in the future fan film*

- Slavic/Saxon/Chinese/Greek/Roman/Mayan/Egyptian - Represents Apophis, Chernabog (the myth ver. not Disney), Kulkulkan, Seth, Loki. Represents Lucifer (Satan), and Horseman of Death

.............this is only 5% of there full info for each character but its really bugging me if I should add it or not. What do you think?

**BTW, if any one asks, them along with Firewing Prometheus and Maelstrom Odysseus, they are what I call "Harbinger Alicorns"

This is one of those times I really need a members opinion, b/c I don't want to cause debates nor create a Mary-Sue/Gary Stu bullshit complaint, if you know what i mean.  Better to play it safe, :)

Found it kinda confusing how you have them both representing saints, and horsemen of the apocalypse at the same time. And subtle biblical references are ok, as the bible is one of the most referenced and quoted works in western culture.

And as for their Mary Sue nature, they are supposed to be gods/agents of the end of the world. Having them get their asses kicked by rarity would kind of devalue their position, and how threatening they would be.

Ok.......It is only little of there description, so im slowly working my way to giving them a full Bio of the character.  As for the "mary-sue" part, I have given them weaknesses, which I will try to avoid making them invincible.  Thank you for your opinion, and I'll keep that in mind.  :D

I'd just give them combat skills related to what horse men they are. Plaque can kill super quickly with illness, but lacks in physical combat (like your stereotypical arch-mage, only with hoards of flies). I'd try to avoid giving them a "kyrptonite" esk-weakness, but build them so that they lack in certain areas.

What kind of biblical references were you thinking?

Also how big of a role are these going to play in the film?

Personally I don't see a problem with using Biblical characters-any more than there would be a problem using characters from Greek mythology, or a co-mingling of the 2. BTW I'm a Christian myself.

You may get some butt-hurt fundies who would have a problem with it-but we don't seem to have many of them on here anyway-they all think the show's based on lesbianism and witchcraft.

Yes......that's one major thing, I'm trying to avoid, lol.  However, they have several weaknesses, and some of them involves the planets climate.  In addition, they are very skilled in Combat with both weapon and magic.

Well, they are "previous Kings/Gods" 5000 to 10,000 years before Celestia and Luna's rule, but the youngest "Timaeus will be connected with Celestia and Luna, only to have their memories wiped, to prevent mistakes from the past.  There stories may be similar to historical/ancient events dating back before Christ, as well as representing ancient civilizations, and time periods.

That could be so.......but I'll see how it turns out.   My currently fan film's antagonist is in fact Prometheus, who is part of both Greek & Roman, but I'll try to work on him as well, :)

Unless you have the characters proclaim what they represent in the fan-film, it shouldn't matter really. Due to the number of attributes each character is combining, the Christian elements will likely get lost in the shuffle.

Timaus reminds me of the Irish diety of Crom Dubh in a way.
