Not sure how to say this but...

Vemillia Nightshade

Well just last night my boyfriend was really depressed due to his bipolar condition. The thing was that this feeling was far out of his control. He was damn near close to committing suicide, but he managed to get help before he did end up dying. It turns out he has not been taking his meds for the past few days. I really feel bad for him that his mood swings he has are out of his control without something to aid him.

The plus side to this is that he is feeling allot better. I just pray this doesn't happen again to him.

I'm not quite sure what to say as the fact he lashed out so violently without his meds obviously leaves me worried. All I can say is to be with him and see if you can aid him in a healthy fashion to keep his mind well.

I had a friend in high school that I later found out was bi polar, he talked about committing suicide and I didn't know if he was being serious or not but I wasn't going to take that chance and I told his mother. I can't say I know what it is like to be bi polar but I do know what it is like to be suicidal and to deal with people who are and it is not fun either way, glad to hear that he is doing better.

I'm really sorry that happened. He should definitely be getting professional psychological help on a regular basis to help him overcome this in addition to taking the medication as prescribed.

Surly you help him out in being there for him no? I am happy that he is feeling better.

Normally I could but with how severe it was the night he tried to attempt suicide, talking to him was all but effective. It was really severe due to him not being on his meds for a few days so these emotions were far out his control due to his Bi-Polar.

That maybe best for him, but he really is trying to avoid mental institutions. I guess he doesn't want to be marked insane due to this Bi-Polar.

Thank you for your kind words. I too know myself what it means to be suicidal, also meditative homicidal. I never acted on either but they were pretty bad thoughts. My boyfriend's case of Bi-Polar makes his depression uncontrollable, but on meds it's typically pretty minor depression and goes away after an hour or so.
