Today's rant is about how you must fight back.

 

Imagine this: You area 5th grader in school, having recess. A bully comes up to you and starts saying things as usual. The bully then proceeds to physically start beating you up. What do you do? Well, most would think to tell a recess aid or something as to not get in trouble for hitting them back. The recess aid has acknowledged that they beat you up. You've won, right? Well, not really. Do you think that a measely 5 minutes out of recess or even suspension is going to stop them? Who cares if you get in trouble, if someone starts physically harming you, turn around and hit them right back. You have a right to self defense, and it should be recognized.

You do have a right to self defense and should fight back. The main reason they don't in courage this is because if they do and successly beat the bully off, they won't just settle for defence but go full out for revenge and perhaps go too far.

no my school actually took that away if you do any thing in deffence you'll get in as much trubble as them

Generally, the rule is, if they punch you first, stomp them to pieces.

 

This is skewed in public schools because of the whole 'anti-violence' thing, which I think is one of the many cons of being in public school. Oh, yeah, sure; just call the police when a crook corners you with a knife. No! In my opinion, if someone comes up to me, they start physical violence, and I estimate that I can reasonally take them on and teach them a lesson, I'm gonna curbstomp them.

This is true; teenagers to tend to go overboard. But I feel like turning around and slugging someone in self defense should be allowed in schools. It certainly would help with the bullying problems. However, it won't help the physically weaker and smaller students, which poses a problem... hm.

But getting in trouble is okay as long as you did the right thing and used self defense.

That depends on whether you care for collage or not. I doubt you'd get expelled, maybe suspended, but not expelled.
