You could, but consider a difference between attack and a simple BS callout. As long as you acknowledge that it's kinda obvious that probably none of the show's cast are meant to be transgender (because, let's face the biggest reason of them all: it's a kids' show, hope you can extrapolate from that -- but, well, that's how headcanon works, eh?), don't think anyone should be giving you shit.

The problem is there is no real representation of trans identities on tv. No one is really "meant" to be trans. It's obvious. A lot of people attack (or critisise) LGBTQ fan theories because they aren't comfortable with idea that there favorite characters could even be LGBT (whether this be conciously or subconciously). Since when does the fanbase limit itself to what the authors intended? I think I won't for now because I can't deal with any possible drama right now, but thanks for the comment. This is definitely an important conversation to be having. :)

I'm slightly uncomfortable with the trans idea myself - but that's purely for aesthetic reasons, if you excuse me. A lot of transgender people I've seen in my life - of both kinds - often just look... strange. And by "strange" I mean, sometimes the proportions seem to be off, or there are strange quantities of makeup to the point of slightly uncanny feeling... Heh... ^^ Maybe I was just unlucky.

I have enough decency to just move along. And I don't really have a problem with a character being gay, lesbian or bi, or queer. Heck, if I hate or like a character, their sexuality will probably be the last thing on the list of reasons why.

>inb4 how many headcanons are there with everyone on the cast being a lesbian or bi?

Heh.

As an addendum.

Sorry if I came off as rude. Coming from Russia, our LGBT movement is thoroughly poisoned with people who you wouldn't call gay, but rather use a word I'd probably get banned for. Hysterical ones. Thinking those who are straight are "society-conforming nobodies" - that's the least crappy thing I've heard them calling others. And then the whole SJW drama on the Net...

Any time I see someone talk on the topic, my hypocrite detector instantly goes up one tick and I'm not sure how to act.

You seem... fine.

Good day.

Thinking that a mob of people will attack you just for your headcannons is quite the strong statement. Although the fandom can overreact at times, there's such a slim chance that could ever happen. As Poilu said, there's a big difference between an attack and somebody simply disagreeing with you. And really, the only one who doesn't want to see your headcannons is yourself. We're in a time where gay marriage is legal in the US, anyway.

So I'd say if you want to post your trans headcannons, go right ahead. Your in a website where most fans are more reserved and calm, so you should feel lucky about that. :)
