Well, there's a game called Shining Force that I like.  Quite a lot, actually.

I was thinking about LP'ing the game, but I don't have screen capture stuff/a mic/a video editor.  Makes a Video LP basically out of the question.

So I was thinking about going back to the old way from the Something Awful days and doing screenshots of the game and throwing text commentary under them.

I wanted to do it here, because I know people here, and a Tumblr LP doesn't really seem like it would work.  I'm just trying to work out the logistics/seeing if anyone would check it out.

LP? As in, "Let's Play"? If so, a Let's Play made out of screenshots... don't know, doesn't sound like something that would be both successful and easy... you sure you don't want to just, I don't know, pick a *insert console that Shining Force is playable on* emulator, buy a low-cost mic and just "get" a screen-capturing program like Camtasia studio? Would be way easier in my opinion.

If, as you said, that a video LP is seriously out of the question.. good luck, you'll need it.

Will it be like the SA in that every game get's a bad review no matter how good it is?

I actually liked that about them.

it sounds interesting, and it certainly would be a hell of a lot better than watching a damn LP with some idiot talking nonstop about stuff i don't give two shits about.
