Mobile Gamers

There are plenty of handheld systems like the 3DS and PS Vita, but there is another breed of handheld gaming; Apple products. I play games on Apple devices from time to time, but I mostly just stick to games like Mario, Sonic, GTA, and that sort of thing. But, I know people who call themselves gamer... but mobile games on Apple products are all they play. Personally, if all someone plays is games on Apple devices, I don't consider them a gamer. Though, I know a lot of people who think otherwise. That's fine with me.

That's just my thoughts.

I refuse to accept people who only play games on their phones as gamers. Mobile games were meant to be games you'd play for like five minutes, then put away and pull out a real game, not what we have today. That, and with the rise of touchscreens on phones, most games have switched to touchscreen controls and they're just impossible to play, either because they're too un-sensitive or too oversensitive. How can someone, legitimately, enjoy something like an MMO or FPS on such a tiny screen, and with horribly unresponsive/over-responsive controls? Makes no sense to me.

On the contrary RPGs work amazingly well on mobile phones. There are actually quite a fee of those running around the Android Market (I've never played anything Apple). The main problem with phone games is that the worst are the most popular so most mobile 'gamers' can't be considered seriously. I like to find those unpopular but amazing games that are out there but the poor search function on the App Stores makes it difficult.

The only games you should really get (for Android) are Role playing, Bullet Hell, Puzzle (good ones) and Arcade games. Everything else is horrible, unless you've got a keyboard of course, because then essentially you have a Gameboy.

My favourite Android game is Beats: Advanced Rhythm Game. Insanely addictive, I've been playing for 3 years and finally stopped:P

My favorite Windows Phone game is Final Fantasy, even though it doesn't support my phone's resolution (game was designed for 480x800, my phone is 720x1280.) Makes me feel like I'm playing an actual game.

I know that Steven knows this, but Infinity Blade has always been my favorite, and I heard of a possible PC release of the series although it's already on MAC. So, since it is on MAC, does it qualify as more than just a mobile game?
