Ganaram Inukshuk

PLEASE READ AND RESPOND TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY HERE.

If you wanna cut to the chase, just skip to the part that says "Skip to here if you wanna skip to this part". For ease of reading, everything else has been spoilered.

Well, aside from the current status of the Forums in general (which I feel will still endure) and the fact that I pretty much will linger around for a long time, I've been thinking about a few things that I'd like to share with you guys, for those watching at home.

First off is how I write. I'd like you guys to go to Google and search for me: Ganaram Inukshuk. Once you've done so, you'll find a bajillion results on me-- Wait, did you just search "Gangnam Style"?

Try again...

Search Ganaram Inukshuk (and please, leave Gangnam Style playing in another tab) and you'll find a couple thousand search results, about 163000.

Open a few of those search results in a new tab, and I want you to analyse how I communicate my thoughts.

For the heck of it, I'm just gonna pull out a few examples:

Example 1

Example 2

Example 3

Example 4

Now compare that to some of the posts I've made here. You should be able to search for all of my other posts.

Banned because of the following:

- Cute, cuddly, and horribly wrong.

- Unity, Duty, and Destiny.

- Love and Tolerate.

- Broadcast yourself.

- Many cities, one community.

- The home for the serious player.

- Do not distribute!

Banned because when me and some others were talking about a bass guitar, one of the others responded with a fish.

Schrödinger's Cat. 50% chance of the cat dying in an explosion and a 50% chance of the cat living, but before you look, the cat is both dead and alive.

What does that mean? There's an everpresent connection with how I tend to write, at least structurally at least. However, I won't be able to know how it will ever look like to me, because I know what is. It's like tickling yourself, or (if you want the String Theory interpretation) never being able to see what other universes look like.

There are a few things I can detect on my own:

- Ganaram having to pee all the time, and all of his "ways" of "relieving" himself.

- Lists

- "OK then"'s

- My opinions.

- References to other things.

- "Actually"

- Comic relief.

I want you to give me your thoughts on how I express my thoughts, but not on what's being expressed.

Second, there's writing. I've never been successful in being able to post any sort of writing here, except for one that simply crashed and burned.

I've been writing more things than that, and actually, it was in absolute secrecy. Here's a few samples of that:

Gem and Nova -- freshly bandaged -- stared up at the broken lightbulb, contemplating on how they could remove the safety hazard looming above their heads.

“Well, I’m certainly not using my unicorn powers to remove that; After seeing what happened back at home, I sure ain’t risking blowing up your house...”

“Well, I certainly can’t get it out using my hooves... Or my mouth... You’ve seen what happened, right?”

“Guy dies with a fishbowl on his head and shrapnel in his mouth. Hmm... Not pleasant.”

“Well, I don’t know what else to--”

“Potato!”

Nova was somewhat confused with Gem’s sudden interjection, whom she headed into the kitchen to acquire -- what else? -- a potato. Nova turned to the unicorn and said:

“If you seriously think you’re gonna play with my potato smasher--”

Gem returned back with a potato in her mouth, which she placed down onto the table to explain her plan:

“No; We can just jam a potato into the metal-y parts, then just twist the whole thing clean off. It’s foolproof.”

“Excellent. Now, what are you waiting for?”

Once there, they were confronted by Princess Celestia. Twilight could tell by the look on Celestia’s face that the situation was truly dire. Rainbow couldn’t care less about anything else, as she was far too worried about Fluttershy. After much silence, save for the sound of rainfall from outside and the ever-familiar sound of a hospital heart monitor, Twilight spoke out:

“Princess Celestia... Is it serious...?”

“I’m afraid so.”

Twilight paused with extreme concern. She looked back at the yellow pegasus who was nearly unrecognisable with her now-unruly mane and medical instruments attached to her being, accompanied by Rainbow Dash at her bedside. She spoke out again to Princess Celestia:

“What do you mean...?”

“When you and your friends last used the Elements of Harmony, there was a strange aura emanating from them. I’m afraid that the Elements have been corrupted, and it has affected Fluttershy.”

>> “What, do you mean ‘Affected Fluttershy’?”

“I mean that Fluttershy has been poisoned by corrupted magic.”

Electrobolt and Jade were their names; Two ponies who befriended Ganaram after his first arrival at Ponyville. Electrobolt was standing upon Jade’s back, trying to reach for a book that Electrobolt was after:

“... Just a little higher, man...”

“Any more and you’ll break my spine.”

“C’mon, Jade, just a little more...”

Amusing was the situation that the two ponies were in, but not so much to Ganaram; He just found it somewhat awkward to watch two ponies stacked one upon another trying to reach a book. To him, it was more of a “How many ponies does it take to screw up a lightbulb” kind of situation...

“I... I think I got it.”

... And Ganaram felt like he needed to interject:

“Hey!!!”

The sudden reaction to Ganaram’s voice was enough to upset the balance of the two stacked ponies, and they both fell down in a giant cascade of books onto the floor. Ganaram replied:

“I thought I’d find you here, because I couldn’t find you anywhere else.”

The unicorn, half-buried in books and half-buried in Electrobolt, responded:

“Great,... Now can you help us out?”

Here, the differences are a lot more apparent, and a lot more different than what most people write.

Here are the main differences:

- All dialogue is isolated from the paragraph. I don't believe in "He said, she said".

- Punctuation. If you comment on this, I will eat you.

I also want you guys to comment on how I write, but not the actual writing.

Thirdly, there's Ganaram Inukshuk, my "representative character". If you've ever seen my signature, the link is there.

Finally is how I talk. I only have three videos in which I ever talk using my real voice, and here's

.

I want you to comment on how that holds up compared on how I write my thoughts and how I write dialogue, then compare it to Ganaram's personality.

Having that said, there are a few things that are apparent:

- I better express my thoughts nonverbally than I do verbally.

- I suck at talking. J's will sound like CH's, G's will sound like D's, and SH's will sound like S's.

So what am I getting at?

Skip to here if you wanna skip to this part.

I wanna Roleplay, but what kind of a Roleplayer will I look like if my ideals of communication and dialogue have fundamental/subtle/odd differences?

You'll look fundamentally/subtle/oddly different. That's the gist of it, everyone's their own unique roleplayer, yourself.

Keep in mind, however, that roleplaying is a skill, and like all skills, it takes time an experience to evolve. So if you start off roleplaying, don't be surprised if it's hard and/or incredibly awkward, and it'll most likely aggravate your self-conscious ...ness.

Also, I only read the first couple-paragraphs of your spoilered information, and I have one thing to say: don't try to psychoanalyze yourself and your behavior so much. If you're anything like me (i.e.: aspergers), you'll only give yourself depression/an aneuryism doing that. Be less introspective and focus more on what other people are doing, and adapting to that.

Edit: Yes, I'm sure this probably didn't answer your question, but I wanted to say it regardless.
