In regard of Kyson's ban

The Soldier

Now, I know that some of you people may consider Kyson a.k.a. The Paris Swing Box "bully" or whatsoever and were glad you were banned for his actions. However, when we had a chat with each other on Skype not too long ago, he had recently told me that he would like to apologize not only to @Kyoshi for calling Kyoshi's banner "half-assed", but also to @Skylar for another incident. (As he never got to directly because of his ban, so I'm doing it for him).

He said so in this dispute that he has also privately sent to me. You can probably ask a moderator or admin to confirm if these parts were in the dispute.

As demonstrated in this image, the permanent suspension given to me, by a moderator was based off of an assumption that I had no intentions of being kind towards any other members, when I have only been given 2 warnings, regarding misconduct involving only two members, Skylar and Kyosh. Also stated in this warning, is that I have no intentions to take any of the warnings issued to me to heart, or consideration. I will admit, I have not had the best conduct on the forums, and I would like to formally apologize for such.

As shown above, he said that he admits that what he had done was not the greatest move of them all.

The incident he had with Skylar was when Kyson/Paris Swing Box called Skylar an "aneurysm", when he had actually just typed what he listened to (which happens to be the song: "Aneurysm" by Nirvana (which is a band he favors) without an intention of mischief nor spite.

I had found various warnings irrational, such as the one given to me by a moderator, on November 10th, 2013, in which I was suspended for 7 days, and given 500 Warning Points for calling another member, Skylar, an ‘aneurysm’, in the ‘Your honest opinion of the member above you?’ topic/thread. In that post, I had decided to not give any opinion to Skylar, there for I decided to say “An Aneurysm.”, in my post, due to the fact I was listening to the song “Aneurysm” by Nirvana.

I had not really meant this as an insult, and I had also looked up the definition of aneurysm to assure myself it was not any vulgarity, nor commonly used insult. In the warning issued to me by (censored), simply stated:

“Calling another member an ‘aneurism’ is unacceptable, and seeing your recent behavior, a permanent suspension will be given if you decide to keep behavior like this up.”

I did not see any harm in calling any member an aneurysm, which is why I posted such. Although, I decided to not dispute this warning, as I felt it useless.

Although Kyson never really meant to insult, he still would like to apologize.

The incident with Kyoshi, however, was the incident that got him banned. He was honestly trying to state his own opinion on the banner, and was mistaken for an act of bullying. Even so, he realizes that he had not made the smartest choice, and apologizes for it...

As he stated in his dispute:

Really, the only time I was a bit offensive, and I do admit that I really should not have posted this, was the status itself. I would like to apologize for having stated my views about the banner; it would have saved both the administration and me much time by simply not saying anything.

Confessingly, he wants to be back in the forums. He tried to join other forums, but they did not have much interest as the MLP Forums had. Apparently, he misses the forums so, and, on my opinion, we should give him another chance. If he has finally learnt his lesson, he will probably not do what he had done again.

I remember The Paris Swing Box, he changed his username so often that I sort of lost him. But I know he's a nice a guy or was at least, so I agree that he should be given a second chance.

Kyson, did you murder Rita?

...On a serious note, don't you think he should send something like this himself to an administrator? I know you're his friend and you're trying to present his point, but I'm pretty sure the right procedure is a conversation between just him and an admin. I think.

The staff here is absolutely petulant to say the least. They hand out harsh punishments for trivial offenses to make it look like they're doing their jobs.

MLP Forums Staff? More like MSA, as the similarities between the staff and TSA are uncanny.

The individual who received moderation needs to be the one to dispute it. Publicly posting what's more or less a moderation dispute isn't going to solve anything. Regardless if a user is under a suspension or not, they can always send tickets through the following email. I encourage Kyson to do so, if he has points to bring up to the situation that may not have been taken into account.

If Kyson's already created a dispute, that's where it needs to stay.
