Derpy: "I have good news and I have bad news..."

Twiley: "Tell me the bad news first."

Derpy: "Oh... well, OK.

I ate them."

Twiley: "Huh? Ate what?"

Derpy: "The muffins."

Twiley: "What muffins?"

Derpy: "The... the ones I made you."

Twiley: "Oh! ... Well, it's alright. The gesture is what counts. ... Of making them, not eating them of course.

So what's the good news?"

Derpy: "I made you some muffins!! :-D"

Really cute. Love it. By the way, please can you explain me, why people thinks that Derpy like muffins?

I'm not sure. Probably emerged from some fan fiction, or maybe just some pictures.

Its because in one episode, the first episode where derpy got her first line, her line was MUUUUFFINS!

 

It was the episode where applejack over worked herself and got everypony sick because she made a bad batch of muffins.

I thought her first line was when she demolished the town hall and checked. It's not clear whether it was Derpy saying it, since the lip sync doesn't match fully, but I can understand how that created the idea. Derpy also had a special position above the other ponies of the crowd.

Thanks for pointing that out. Always nice to learn new things about the show.
