  1. Salem strode proudly into the changeling barracks. He located the main office, knocked and then entered. "Sir." he began, only to be interrupted by the general. "What the hell are y... oh yes, you're that lizard thing they sent aren't you!" Salem scowled. "Yes. A Tondrake... as I was saying, I have captured some rebels! They're secured not far from here, and I request a transport cart." The general laughed. "Transport cart? Just frog march them over here! You tongdrooks clearly don't have much military knowledge!" Salem gritted his teeth, digging his claws into the ground. "Actually... sir... these are a special case. They're dangerous, powerful." Once again, the general laughed heartily. "Too strong for you?! Okay, take a cart!" "Thank you... sir..." Salem hissed. He returned to the outside of the library, accompanied by two changelings pulling the cart. By now, most of his unit had regained consciousness, and they were looking wildly around at the passing ponies. Many of those passing were smiling at the sight of their oppressors defeat, and Salem had to fight himself not to challenge those sly smiles. The prisoners were gone. Salem couldn't help but smile a little at that. They were clearly quite a formidable foe... were all the rebels like that? He set off alone, sprinting through the streets. He had to find them...
  2. Rust yawned loudly, then stepped through the huge entrance doors of the University. The great building was beautiful at night, with only side lights illuminating the place. Inside, Rust stepped up to the lone secretary. "Uhh.. I'm new here. What should I do?" The secretary smiled, and replied; "Well the Dean is probably still awake, so you should introduce yourself." Rust nodded, then continued through the hall. He found the dean's office, and knocked. The dean was marking papers, and nodded to Rust. "Yeah, I'm Rust. Rust Dat..." "Rust Datech." The dean finished. "Interesting choice of subjects. Are you sure that you'll be able to keep on top of them all? It's rare for a student to take more than one subject... then again, if you chose them, then you clearly must believe yourself capable of studying for them all! Am I right?" Rust gritted his teeth, and forced a nervous smile. "Y.. yeah..." The dean returned the smile, holding out a schedule. "Here you go, and here's your key. Your room is number 21." Rust thanked the dean, and hurried out of the office. But he wasn't heading for his room just yet... this building was huge! At night, he could explore to his hearts content. Besides... sleep was overrated.
  3. Rust lay on the concrete floor staring at the ceiling in boredom. He could venture out into the streets of Manehattan... but that was effort. At last, the red colt stood, stretched and set off along the corridor. He walked down flights and flights of identical stairs until reaching the tower lobby, and he headed for the exit. "Wait, Rust!" one of the secretaries called out, holding something out to him. "You've got a letter!" The fact that the secretary knew his name was strange enough, but a letter!? Intrigued, Rust casually approached her and took the letter. He carried it out to the front of the tower, and sat on the steps outside. It was pretty late... he'd had no idea. Time seems to slip by in a tower without windows... He opened the letter, and read it. Then he read it again. "What?!" Rust cried out. It was from the Manehattan University for the rich or talented. He'd been accepted! Rust cast his mind back to when he'd applied. He'd been really bored, wandering the city, and there it was; a huge fancy building. He just couldn't resist filing out one of the forms, and sitting in the expensive visitors section while he did so. He hadn't expected his application to get through, let alone be accepted. It was probably because of his father's influence upon the city... they'd accepted him because of his father's status.... typical. So now what? He could just ignore it... or, he could give it a go! It would only be a matter if time before they realised that he wasn't talented, and in that time he could entertain himself with lessons and social stuff! The colt brightened instantly, and set off. This sure beat staring at the ceiling! So what if it was late...
  4. Speedway settled down beneath a tree. This was going to be a long two days... he picked up a pine cone, and began to toss it into the air only to catch it again. There had to be something for him to do here... a job maybe? But if they found out that he was going, then they'd probably turn him down. Maybe he could practice his flying closer to the ground, after all, when he left here he'd need to earn money through racing. Clutching the pine cone in one hoof, Speedway set off, sticking low to the ground. The winds from above had no effect on him down here, and he began to increase speed grateful for the low number of people walking the streets.

  8. Man, these things are awesome! You're a great pony artist! I would offer one of my own OCs, but it looks like you've got your work cut out as it is XD Good luck with the rest of em!
  9. Salem looked down at himself, and then at the tree behind him. "Time..." he muttered, before addressing Timeshift. "Good work. I had my doubts about your ability at first, but..." he took note of his unit littered across the ground. "It looks like I could use more soldiers like you... I'll bring a cart to transport these rebels to our barracks." he hesitated for a second. "Where exactly are our barracks? Do you insects even have those?"
  10. Salem broke free with an indignant hiss, jumping away from Standoff. That grab had taken him by surprise. He'd never been surprised by an enemy before... He'd always though that his reactions were... Salem quickly regained his composure, and spoke directly to the two. "For all I care, Queen Cockroach can do as she pleases. Do you really think that I want to be here? Siding with insects to exterminate emotional mammals?" he tutted, turning away from them. "I'm just doing my job. If I had my way, you'd both be free to kill each other... but that's just not the way it works. If I want to return to my beloved wasteland, and a REAL unit to order around, then I'm going to have to arrest every single one of you rebels, starting with you two." He paused, then added; "Arrest or kill that is. Whichever comes first."
  11. Salem laughed humourlessly. "So, you turn to weapons then? Are you ponies not skilled at claw to claw combat? Then again... you look very... soft like all mammals." he raked a claw along his reptilian hide. "Unlike you, I have very thick skin... literally. Maybe you'll have a bit more trouble wielding that weapon against me..." he glanced over to Timeshift. "How about a little help bookworm? Though it may not seem it, we're both working for the same side here..."
  12. Salem raised an eyebrow, examining the carnage before him; His unit lay in tatters, defeated by Red. "Impressive." he announced, examining a claw. "I thought they'd last longer. Not much longer, but..." he stopped, and looked up to red, leering as usual. "So, this seems to have gone very nicely for me. Not only have I seen the full potential of my unit, but I've also found two rebels." he started to walk closer, reptilian claws scratching on the ground. "Unlike those primitive insects, I won't be so easy to... 'beat up'..."
  13. At the sight of Red, the changelings suddenly realised that they were in trouble. They desperately looked to Timeshift for help fighting the two, and a couple transformed into crude imitations of their attackers. These changelings were trainees, and they were about to enter the fight of their lives.
  14. Salem scowled at his disheveled colleagues. "Bending time? That seems like an awfully large power to be wielded by an insect. Why are none of my soldiers graced with such talent?" he continued without waiting for an answer, "But more to the point, that was a pony in there. Are they, or are they not the enemy?" There were a few half hearted nods from his troops. Salem's scowl grew even deeper. "The correct answer, you parasites, is yes! Now, your first mission is to arrest that pony for disobedience against an officer!" once again, Salem struck down the door with his tail, and his seven strong unit of changeling footsoldiers hurried in. Salem stood outside, listening for the telltale signs of combat. Naturally, his unit would most likely be defeated by the pony; he looked stronger than any of his group. The point was, that they were getting training. Then he could step in and finish the job... The changelings stated at the two in the library, collectively unsure of what to do. Eventually, one of the braver ones blurted out; "You.. You're under arrest!"
  15. Salem sat in shock upon the ground. "Insects... barbarians... theres just no order with you!" he stood, turning to his fallen team. "What the hell were you doing? You call that defence? We have a disobedient soldier here. It's time to teach them the lesson of their life." he strode to the library door, smashing it open in a single swipe. "This time, back me up."
  16. Collision nodded, "Yeah, we should go and fight the.... wait... did you just say deliver a message to Celestia?" his eyes clouded over, and he looked into the distance smiling in wonder. "As in... Princess Celestia? But she's a princess!!!" he started to bounce excitedly. "Mememememe!!!! Send me! I'll deliver it!!!"
  17. The ink quickly dripped off of Salem's waterproof skin, but the lizard was far from happy. He stood, unmoving and with a snarl on his face. One of his unit dared to let out a small snigger, and Salem whipped around, smacking the soldier to the floor with his tail. His appearance had been hurt, and his pride too. Salem promptly strode through the door of the library, pushing over piles of books and staring with malice at Timeshift. "Well, well, well... it looks like one of the under evolved cockroaches has something to say. So say it... what do you think you're doing?"
  18. Loro stood round the corner, his nerves on edge. This plan had the potential to go horribly wrong and, given his track record here so far, that potential was more like fate.. Around the corner were two unicorn guards, separated from their group and terrified of the invading shadows. Attempting to regain some of their previous dignity, the guards still stood to attention, hiding nervous glances with military stance. Suddenly, Loro leapt out from where he stood, dashing across the courtyard. The unicorns reacted, pelting the air around him with searing hot bolts of magic. Loro had no idea what those bolts would do if they hit him, and so he ran faster, ducking and dodging the beams. At last, the unicorns stopped firing, and he skidded to a halt, standing still. One of the guards grinned, charging energy for a second, before launching a huge bolt of energy at Loro, a bolt nearly half his size. The dragon looked on in fear, frozen by the oncoming energy. At last he broke from this trance, pulling something from behind his back; a cylindrical device made from metal. It was crude, but it did the job; the bolt hit a funnel, and was pulled into the gadget. There was no time to congratulate himself however, more bolts began to hit the ground near him and, once again, the dragon ducked and dodged the bolts. This time, a few sparks seared his tail, but in a matter of seconds, Loro had escaped. He'd also gathered something. Aether.
  19. Hmm... No one's posted for a while... Uh.. when is this starting again? Has everyone moved topics or something XD
  20. Okay, this is starting to look quite good now... Aw, damn it, okay I'll re enter the poacher... maybe this time I'll avoid pestering Luna with letters... http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/the-poacher-r2066
  21. Collision ran to Meta, and sat next to his unconscious body. All traces of humour gone from his voice, he looked up to the others, speaking seriously, and in slight fear. "If those guys were strong enough to fight all of you... and survive... then they must be really powerful!" he glanced down at Meta. "I hope he's okay..." then the colt jumped back to his feet, energy returning, and he dashed back over to the others, screeching to a halt in front of them. "Star! Thunder! Topaz! Uh.. Gust! You're okay!!" he smiled warmly. "You really gave those baddies a run for their money! I wish I could have helped more..." he looked absent-mindedly over the town. "But they tore this place apart... there's fire everywhere..."
  22. Speedway paled at the idea of going to the hospital, and backed away in fear. "N... No!" he stammered, "It's okay... there's no need to waste any more time on me... they've always been like that. It at least, since I was just a colt." he stepped back a bit more. "I'll leave you in peace now. I'll just... walk from now on."
  23. Salem and his unit matched through Ponyville, met with looks of both fear and confusion. Fear at the changeling unit, and confusion at the fact that they appeared to be led by a large lizard. The lizard in question was revelling in his position of high power, yet constantly on the look out for strange activity. He stopped suddenly, and turned back to his small, obedient group of soldiers. "So. Orders... now I haven't been given any, and I'm looking to you. What were your last commander's orders?" "Umm..." one changeling spoke up, "just to keep order.... and look out for rebels." Salem tilted his head slightly to one side. "Rebels? Yes... I remember being told something about rebels..." he turned and continued to march. "Then we'll have to be on the lookout won't we. If we see a single thing out of place... then we'll stamp it out."
  24. Speedway shied back, hiding them from view behind his back. "Uh! N... nothing! Thanks... thanks for helping me. That was a strong wind up there..." as if in an afterthought, he quietly added, "looks like flying is out of the window..." he examined the two who stood in front of him. "Umm... I'll just not fly while I'm here. Sorry for wasting your time."
  25. Collision squinted across the town. "Is that them? Nah... that's a fire..." he squinted some more. "Hang on... I think that's them over there! I'll have to get a bit closer though.." Without warning, the colt jumped from the roof onto the roof in front of him, and continued down the street in this manner, jumping the gaps between buildings. "Yeah!" he called back to Thunder and Gust, "That's them! But there are three of them... maybe the other one's a villager, can't really see him from here. They're in a grassy bit not far from here. I think they must be charging magic, cause they don't seem to be moving much..." He looked down to Thunder happily. "Man, I'm an awesome scout! I should get an award..."
