Just be sure that you post them to the Fan Fiction section under the appropriate tag.

I believe this is an issue that happened after the migration. I'm going to contact one of the administrators about this, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
 
In the meantime, you can try uploading the image to the site in a test topic, and then adding it to your signature via the "My Media" option in the BBCode Mode.

Note that:changing your username will not change the name you log in with you can only change your username 3 times in 30 days (3 times in 15 days if you are a donor or subscriber) if someone else already has the username, you will not be able to change your username

If I'm correct, there is a limit on how many images you can link from other sites in your About Me. However, I think you're allowed to have as many site uploaded images as you want (aka images that you have uploaded to the site.)
 
You can add site uploaded images to your About Me by following these steps:
Step 1: Upload the images into a test topic.
Step 2: Go back to your about me, and click "My Media"
Step 3: The images should be there under Attachments.

The anonymous login option was removed when the migration to Poniverse logins was made. This is because logging in anonymously was a part of the IPB login page. 
As far as I'm aware, there's no way to log in anonymously besides having a staff member forcing you into anonymity, which isn't usually done upon request. Sorry.

The "race icons" you are referring to are actually called badges.
Unfortunately, your rank can only be changed by making more posts. For example, your badge changes to a Muffin at 5 posts, a cupcake at 40, and so on and so forth. Your badge also changes if you become a moderator or administrator.

Changing your member title is a donation perk. Regular members cannot change their member titles.

Skybound has said that themes (which could be extended to "x" pony themes) will be added in later contests.

If you have already started a poll that is private, you cannot make it public. You can't do this because people may have voted anonymously and not wanted their votes seen publicly (for example, a poll on clopping.)
In addition, if you would like to make a poll public, be sure to check the "Make votes public?" box when creating said poll.

This is actually a glitch with the moderator queue. When a person on the moderator queue posts in your topic, and the post is approved by the moderator, you get a notification similar to the one you got. 
 
You haven't done anything wrong, and there's nothing to worry about.

Another member was having a simlar problem not too long ago. If I remember correctly, it can be solved by just copying and pasting the URL from the share tab on the YouTube page.

For example:

Notice the lack of a "v=" in the URL.

This is a known issue. The server is currently under maintenance and the search function is broken because of it.
