  1. Flare grinned. "I'll definitely be helping you out. I can't just stay without some kind of assistance - you need something - no, anything - call me. And I will help you out," she promised, giving Hunter a quick hug (being careful to mind her stomach). She felt so happy... it was inexplicable. She couldn't possibly describe how she felt - euphoric, perhaps? That would cut it for now, she decided. She turned to the door. "I am going to head back out into town... you can come if you like. I'd like to see if we can find any of the other again. They were very nice ponies." she smiled, before turning to the door and wandering off. [[OOC: Sorry I didn't post any of yesterday! I was very busy...;^;]]
  2. Flare grinned widely; her bedroom had a comfy, cosy feel to it... one she could see herself being very comfortable with. And she could even help Hunter with the baby in return for the sudden kind gesture... that'd be useful of her. Slowly, she put her books down on the bedside table and sniffed the scent she would eventually have written all over her. It was pleasant, and she thanked her lucky starts Hunter was around when she was. She sighed in relief, feeling more gratitude than ever. "Th-Thank you, Hunter... I don't know what I can do to show the appreciation I feel right now..." she murmured, her eyes cast towards the floor.
  3. No matter how hard she tried, Flare had looked dreamy; she loved other ponies playing with her mane and sometimes even her tail. It was relaxing... soft, and inviting. Clearing her throat, she looked to the side, and coughed. "U-Uh... sorry about that... I... have a... thing..." she excused pathetically, her eyes still averted elsewhere. Recovering quickly, she looked back up, void of any embarrassment, almost as if the scene hadn't happened. "I would really appreciate that, Hunter. Thanks so much..." she smiled. "You're a great friend..."
  4. Flare did a double take. Had she heard correctly? Was this pony really offering her a place to stay? She slowly nodded, her mouth not forming any sound as she tried to take it in. "S-Sure... I... I'd love that." she stuttered, taken aback. "If it's not too much trouble!!!" she added quickly.
  5. Flare caught sight of Hunter. She smiled widely and flew down to her, smiling happily. "Hello there! And sure I do! What's on your mind?" she questioned, waiting intently for the reply. She flew at ground level, her eyes scanning the city once more before settling on Hunter again, more curious than ever.
  6. Flare tossed and turned - she couldn't fall asleep. Despite being so desperate for it at one moment in time, now she just felt restless. She opened one of her books to the first page and began to read, but a few words later, put it down again. "UGHHH!!!" she exclaimed, kicking her legs out in frustration. "What is the matter with me?!" She felt an unexplainable desire to be back with the ponies. To be back in that seat, surrounded by the joy and the company. Hunter on her left, Jolt ahead of her, and Splinter not too far away... plus Brazen... they were all fantastic. She'd never had proper friends before, not like these; the thought made her giddy and excited. "I guess I could stretch my wings a little if it's been decided I'm not allowed to sleep." she pouted, before getting up and floating gently to the ground of Canterlot. Beginning to walk aimlessly around the streets, she peered at anything there was to see. Lots of grumpy, snobbish gentlecolts, and a whole lot of fussy mares.
  7. Flare smiled at the kindness of Brazen. She was strong, and not like the city-folk. And Jolt seemed to recognise this too. It made her happy... but also restless, as her wings twitched with the need to move. She stretched, and stood on all fours on the seat, picking up her books. "I Ah... I think I'm gonna ski-daddle." she informed, downing her glass of water (that had been untouched till then) in three seconds flat, before flapping her wings and flying carefully over Hunter, being careful not to knock the pregnant pony in any way. Her books securely tucked under her wing now, she gave the other ponies a wave of her hoof. "It was nice spending a little time with you guys." she said, giving them each a look of acknowledgement, before turning to walk away. "I'll be around in Canterlot for however long so... yeah, I guess I'll see you guys around." she added, before flying out of a the restaurant and leaving the group behind. The urge to sleep was too strong to resist any more, as she flew to her favourite cloud and covered herself in the fluffy, white mess that she called "home".
  8. [[OOC: Forgive me, but what's a Changeling? Yeah, I haven't been in this fandom very long at all... sorry if it was in an episode and I just missed it or something...]] Flare, all this time, sat abnormally stiff. Talking about royalty, laws and rules... didn't suit her so well. She really didn't like thinking there were so many pain-in-the-hoof restrictions to her life. Slowly, she looked out at the window, out at the open sky and the clouds. All she really wanted to do was sleep. And read. And sleep some more. But she wasn't going to leave these ponies behind. She turned to Hunter, who was happily enjoying garlic bread. "Does that happen to be a craving... or do you just really like garlic bread?" she teased playfully.
  9. Flare looked to Splinter apologetically. "Hardly. Join us now." she smiled. She ushered him closer with her hoof and made space beside her; all he had to do was squeeze past Hunter, and he would be able to fit easily. "The more the merrier! We can all feel better together." she said, eyes bright and hopeful. These ponies she had met were the friendliest she'd ever come across in her life so far, and she didn't want to just abandon that; especially Splinter. She still couldn't get over how he had got their books for her, just like that. She even managed to put down her pride long enough to allow a tiny blush onto her face. ((OOC: It will be very unlikely I post again since I've actually snuck onto the computer... so yeah. But I will try to post via my tablet later. Ciao for now, everyone! )
  10. Flare carefully, and for the second time that day, stretched out a hoof and patted Brazen's shoulder gently. "That's terrible... I'm really sorry." - emotion such as sadness made her uncomfortable, for she didn't deal with it well at all. Particularly others'. She wasn't sure what else to say - she hardly even knew Brazen, and Brazen hardly knew her; who knew if she actually cared what she said or not? Perhaps gentle words weren't the way to get through to her. She didn't know whatsoever. Unsure of what else to do, she solemnly detracted her hoof and sat in silence, looking at her book covers for something else to see other than the tears on the other pony's face.
  11. Flare shook it eagerly. "You already know me, but it's great to have ya here." she said, before releasing her hoof and putting her own at the table in an attempt to look sophisticated and mannerly. "So, why're you in Canterlot?" she quizzed, blunt as per usual. Briefly, she pondered about where Splinter was... she had felt a little empty walking away from him like that, but she supposed he wouldn't mind too much as he'd see her shortly when she was through with the books. [[OOC: Gonna head out for a walk - I'll reply when I get back if there's anything more going on. )
  12. The fire-red pegasus felt a little more comfortable after Hunter's reassurance and allowed herself to spontaneously order a glass of water as the waiter passed. He gave a friendly nod and disappeared into the kitchen. "Good you're not so under the weather now." she said, touching her mane slowly, looking sheepish. She then turned to the newest addition to their table and waved a callous hoof at her. "I'm Flare by the way." she grinned confidently.
  13. Flare suddenly felt uneasy; she'd made this person unhappy already, and she had barely been two minutes within her company. Relinquishing grip on her books entirely (she had kept a distrustful tail wrapped around them), she slowly put a hoof to Hunter's shoulder. "I'm sure your kid's gonna be great. And that their father was a good pony." she smiled reassuringly. "Everything'll be fine - you'll raise them well and do a super job!" By now, she was actually believing the words that came out of her mouth; there was something about Hunter that was strong. Flare suddenly heard another voice and turned her head to eye a brave yellow: a hard hat. Slowly, she smiled. "Sure, pull up a chair and join us!" she offered, easing herself away from the sentimental values of Hunter's situation - she was all for comfort, but she could never keep it up for long.
  14. Flare sat and flexed her wings; the seat was comfy, and gave her legs a break, before looking to the mare beside her. She would be dumb if she didn't assume she was carrying a baby... how tough for her. But she seemed to coping wonderfully. The pegasus smiled. "Truthfully, I'm here on a bored front. I got tired of Ponyville and even Cloudsdale .. so I just flew to some place new. I don't really... well, it's nice enough but most of the ponies here are..." she lowered her voice consciously. "...Snobs." she finished, eyes peeking around the room to make sure nobody had heard her. "I don't really have a home here... just live in the clouds. It's home enough!" she grinned. By now, her throat was very dry, and she peered at a glass of water on a nearby table longingly. "What about you?" she asked Hunter curiously.
  15. Flare gingerly followed the other ponies, flying at ground level beside them. "Uh, I just wanted to apologise for running off earlier. I just got so... caught up in books that I didn't stick around long enough for you to answer me. I'm sorry..." she told him bashfully, scratching the back of her head with a hoof, her eyes elsewhere. She wasn't goo with apologising. Never had been, probably never would be, but it was something that she (reluctantly) did when she felt it was absolutely necessary. "I'd love to accompany you guys though. I'm not really hungry, but I could do with a drink..." she smiled, continuing to fly beside them. She briefly wandered where the bigger pegasus had flown off to, and what he had said to the other pony before he had flown off. None of her business, she knew, but it didn't stop her being curious.
  16. [[OOC: This post is made with this quote in mind: "Well that was rude. Going off with a stranger, asking a question and not waiting for a reply." - Jolt.]] The mare simply waved to the male once he didn't respond for a while, beginning to scuttle away awkwardly, ignoring the slightly disapproving look one particular pony at the desk seemed to be giving her with a "pfft..."; once out of the library, she looked for the other colt who had been talking to her before. He was probably long gone by now, but she felt a little guilty for leaving him behind like that. She had been so caught up in the idea of books that she had simply left without waiting for an answer - the least she could do was apologise. She looked around frantically, but couldn't see the pony she wanted to talk to. Her head hung a little as her wings began to flap and take her above the crowds of people - perhaps searching from the sky would be easier. So far, nothing but the arrogant bustling of pure Canterlot ponies, but she wouldn't be deterred. She flew fast, and eventually came to spot him. She flew faster towards him to ensure she wouldn't miss him again. "Excuse me! Mister!" she called, skidding to a halt right in front of him.
  17. Flare thought to herself a moment, before accepting the books from him (now taken care of and rented by Splinter himself) and brushing her tail against his hoof in thanks, her arms too full to give him a hug of appreciation like she first thought to do. "Thanks a bunch for the books, Splint. I... guess I'll be seeing you around when I'm done with them...?" she offered with a somewhat coy smile, before recognising just how awkward saying goodbye was. "Or, um, before that, I'm t-totally cool with that too!" she added, showcasing a bad poker-face with effort as she waited for him to reply somewhat nervously.
  18. For the meantime, Flare had disappeared from Splinter's scope of vision; she had been searching through the "D" shelves urged to see the bright title on the spine of the book. She knew they were here... Splint had said so. Soon enough, she found exactly what she was looking for and rushed back to her friend. Friend. Could she call him a friend yet? Or was it too soon? Nevertheless, he had been nothing but nice... so why not? Not like he had to know anyway. She could just call him one in her head till any further notice. "Oooh, this one, and this one, oh, and don't forget this one!" she told him, her wings flapping quickly in anticipation. "Thanks so much!" (OOC: I got school in the morning, so I'm gonna get off now. Goodnight, Everyone! :3)
  19. Flare's back shot straight up. "Did you say... Daring Do?" - without waiting for an answer, she rubbed her hooves together and let out a small squeak of approval. "Yes, yes, yes!" she quietly urged. "I've been looking for them everywhere! They were never in Cloudsdale... you're a good guy, Splint." Happily hopping towards the Adventure Section, her eyes scouring for the infamous books, Flare felt something she hadn't really felt upon entering Canterlot: truly excited.
  20. ((I'll take your word for it, haha. )) Flare glanced at the huge building, her eyes scanning the tall structure in wonder. How had she never noticed such an obvious building? How was she so dumb?? Remembering what the male had said, she perked up. You would rent me books? That's awesome! You're awesome!" she exclaimed suddenly, jumping on the spot slightly from excitement. That book smell... it was the best smell, and it always made her gut fill up with happiness. "...Pfft..." she murmured, remembering libraries had to be quiet. "Where the heck should I start?!"
  21. "I see," she muttered, her eyes scanning the bright intricate book-cover with interest, before handing it back to Splinter. "I haven't read this one... I've read a lot of books in general, though." she rambled slightly, before recalling she was between two other ponies and regained her composure, clearing her throat swiftly. "Anyways... you know where the library is? I haven't been able to find it yet. You should definitely tell me where it is. Or even take me!" she enforced, poking his book playfully. (OOC: Awesome. Much like my OC in this RP, I actually HAVEN'T read that book either. xD)
  22. Flare simply blinked at the pony, amused. He seemed so open and friendly, yet so awkward too. She nudged him good-naturedly. "Splinter? Nice name." - she was grinning again, trying to get a good glance at his book. "What'cha readin', Splint?" she asked. The other colt had her slight interest, but it didn't appear his attention was on her any more, and so turned most of hers to Splinter himself.
  23. (OOC - sorry about such a late addition... was showering. ^^;...) Flare picked herself up and flexed her wings, checking for any injuries; there was nothing but the slick open and close of the feathery appendages, and she felt safe to assume she was completely fine, save for a scratch. "Yeah, I'm fine," she replied loftily, a carefree grin on her face. She took a moment to take in who had crashed into her, and saw a stallion with an open book. "You may not wanna take your fall out on the book next time though." she joked meekly, pointing to the slightly creased cover. She then extended a hoof towards him. "The name's Flare. Flare Blitz. But most people just call me Blitzy for short." she told him, smiling widely. She then turned to the other pony who had apparently been talking to her. "I'm sorry? What did you say?" she chuckled, stretching her other hoof out towards him.
  24. Flare screeched to a halt, her wings folding neatly by her sides once more. An early morning zoom was always good, especially on a day as grand as this one. The gentle wind breezing through her orange mane, the tender warmth of the sun brushing her coat smoothly... it was a good life. How she had ended up in Canterlot... honestly, she wasn't very sure; she simply thought a change of scenery would be good for her and flew until she arrived some place new. Taking residence was easy, since she didn't live in a house, but the clouds above the city: any Pegasus' advantage. "Hmm... I'm really stuck for stuff to do today. This place is so grand... and big... and boring." the mare pouted, wandering aimlessly around the streets in search of something to do. There had to be something...anything.
  25. I enjoy Pinkie Pie/Discord... I don't know, something about those two just has me in stitches, and I love humour, haha. I could just see Discord weakening because of Pinkie-Pie's good nature (over a long time)... and after all, her element IS "his favourite".
