  1. "Oh..." said Flare sadly. She never liked to hear about the loss of others, even if it was beyond her interest sometimes. "I'm real sorry.", she added, shifting uncomfortably in her chair; hearing Hunter laugh was reassuring, but she still felt a little guilty for bringing it up. "Well... it won't be hard for you to find somebody; you're a really nice pony. Someone's bound to come to you, and little Mystic here'll be happy as dawn." Flare assured kindly.
  2. Casually, Flare sat down. It felt slightly wrong to do so when Hunter was really needing somebody else to do the hard work... but Hunter herself had told her to and so she would. After a couple of minutes of silence, she slowly picked up one of the tokens. "Thanks. You're a real pal, Hunter." she smiled, before trotting out of the room. She found the vending machine with no trouble, and then settled to getting some water; it always tasted best when she felt she was almost dead on her feet. After a few deep breaths and a huge gulping session, she went back into the room, keeping hold of the bottle, and sitting down again. "So..." she started, trying to find some conversation. "Uh, what made you choose the name 'Mystic', huh?"
  3. Flare nodded slowly. "Um, sure, I-I can do that... no problem!" she told the waiting mother, before she slowly trotted out of the room and then took off, getting to Mystic's room pretty quickly. She scoured through the baby garments, before picking out a rather cute pair, then taking flight once more and rushing back. "Will these do?" she asked, giving the pyjamas to Hunter and waiting nervously. It was a good job she could fly fast...
  4. Flare grinned. "Sure, I settled in, though it's still kinda big and intimidating. But I got these," she flared out her wings and gave them a devious flutter. "And they make me bigger than anything." she finished, smirking. She then turned to Mystic. "Awww, who's a cute wittle baby?" She rubbed her nose against the baby's gently and listened to it giggle. This was awesome! They'd be able to come home soon enough! "Can't wait to have ya back; it's been real weird being in your house alone..." she mumbled bashfully.
  5. [[Oh my G-- I'm SO sorry I haven't been on here in so long! Exams and all that crap~! But I'm on two weeks holiday starting on Monday, so I;ll have plenty of time to come here now~! ]] Flare hurriedly ran to the hospital; she was desperate to see Hunter's baby foal again. She was so cute and innocent... definitely was going to grow up into a successful young mare. She'd do great things - Flare wondered briefly what her cutie mark could be. As she burst through Hunter's doors, she let out a: "Hey hey hey~!", and then turned to Hunter more sincerely. "How ya feelin'?"
  6. "Before asking why somebody hates you, ask yourself why you even care." "Good things come to those who wait; great things come to those who make them happen." "Don't make somebody a priority in your life when you're just an option in their's."
  7. Rainbow Dash and Applejack. Rainbow's voice is so smooth... even if you dislike her voice cracks (I personally find them amazing), they seem to diminish when she's in song... or perhaps it's just me, haha. Even so, such a nice, yet peppy tone when she sings makes me happy. Applejack... Raise. This. Fracking. Barn. And her part in "What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me" was the best in my opinion. Especially the ending harmony - favourite part of the whole dang song.
  8. "Live how you wish, and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter." - Dr. Suess. "A writer of fiction lives in fear as to whether he can create the newest thing of tomorrow while avoiding the clichés of yesterday." - Roald Dahl. "Don't put the key to your happiness in somebody else's pocket." - Unknown. My three favourites... mostly because I'm both a writer, and a motivational kind of person.
  9. "Well," said Flare. "I'm gonna head off. I can only stay quiet for so long." she grinned a devious grin and turned to leave the book-ridden building. It even smelt of books in there... which made sense, but still... "I wonder how Hunter's doing..." Flare mumbled. "Maybe I'd better go check on her." and with that, she began flying back to the hospital at her usual faster-than-lightning speed.
  10. Flare let loose a "PFFFTTTT---" when she saw Splinter's comical expression upon the maze ending, before nudging him gently. "The books are great by the way." she answered, winking playfully. There was something about Splinter's company that kept her nice and comfortable - like she was surrounded by a true friend. It felt good, safe, and most definitely reliable. Not to mention he was very nice as a pony anyways. "Anyways, where ya headed after the library?" she asked, picking herself up from the library floor with minor grace.
  11. Flare giggled. "That's okay... I've been pretty distant myself these days..." she replied bashfully, setting the book down on the floor. She'd heard of Creepypastas and had indeed read them before; some were bad enough to make her the slightest bit paranoid - and afraid of the big red Pony that seemed to work alongside an orange work pony with apples on her flank... "I know what you mean, " she said. "It's a shame when some work of art just loses all the views and publicity, just like that...did you hear about Hunter?" she set to asking. If she didn't speak about her soon, she was going to give way; her mind was too full.
  12. Flare closed the book and peered around, eventually noticing a familiar pony. "Splinter? SPLINTER!!" she called, getting to her feet and bringing her book along with her. She hadn't seen him in a while... it'd be great to talk to him again. In fact, she'd only last talked to him when he had let her borrow the books... he'd probably ask her how she was doing with them. Or not. It didn't matter to her. "How are ya doin'?" she asked brightly. [[OOC: SORRY! My activity is getting less and less frequent on here... I'll do my best to make up for it, but stupid family drama/issues... the whole lot. ;____; I'll TRY and fix it, honest! Oh, and despite the caps, Falre wasn't shouting that loud when calling for Splinter.]]
  13. Flare shuffled around the library aimlessly. Her mind was relentlessly playing tricks on her, but she couldn't focus on one thing in particular... it was far too much to focus on one thing when so many things were going on in her head. She irately ran her hooves through her mane and settled down to begin one of the books that Splinter had lent her. She STILL hadn't even started one of those! "Man, I could get into this..." she mumbled to herself, eyes fixed on the text below her. ((Sorry I wasn't posting here for a while - I haven't really been here. ;___
  14. I think mine would be a pencil - it would describe my talent for writing, drawing, composition... everything I love to do (besides sing and debate, haha), involves a pencil, so it would have great symbolism.
  15. Flare nodded. "Right." she smiled and then wandered out of the room without another word. What was she supposed to say exactly? A baby would be a lot of work to live with, especially as she was only used to taking responsibility for herself and perhaps her father from time to time. She missed her father badly, but she couldn't go back to Cloudsdale. Not with her new life here in Canterlot. "I could use a break..." she mumbled, before mooching off towards the library that Splinter had shown her some time ago. As she walked through the doors, she briefly wondered about him; she hadn't seen him in a while.

I just like to talk to people, I guess. It's strange, I hardly talk at all and am really shy IRL but I talk all the time on the internet. :P

Haha, just like me! People are always complaining about me, saying I'm "too quiet" and "boring" - but then there's my few friends who think I'm the craziest idiot on the face of this planet, haha. :')

  17. Slow, Flare put the baby down and covered it up to it's small chin with a fluffy blanket. "I feel I should leave you alone to get some rest. I can always take a run out and get some supplies for the baby so that you're up and running later." she smiled, offering kindly.
  18. Flare carefully moved towards the cradle and gently picked up the baby foal; she twitched and began sobbing, but eventually calmed down and began sucking on her hoof, her eyes still droopy and half-lidded. "She... She's beautiful..." Flare smiled, her eyes shining brightly with pride; for some reason, she was so proud of Hunter. Giving birth must've been exceptionally difficult, no joke. And Hunter was exhausted... she must've worked so hard back there... Flare closed her eyes and hugged the tiny bundle close to her chest. "Beautiful..." she whispered with a soft smile.
  19. Flare raced into the room, shoving the nurse out of the way and rushing to Hunter's side. "A-Are you okay, Hunter... are you still hurting...?" she asked softly, not sure what to ask. She couldn't exactly ask any specific question... she knew nothing of child-birth. But from the tired look on Hunter's face, she was far past awake.
  20. Flare nodded slowly. "I know she's tough... but it don't stop me worrying." she replied, her speaking somewhat lazy as her flustered mind took her elsewhere. Still, she felt compelled to ask about this "Clank" character Brazen was talking about. "Um... I don't think I remember this Clank somepony... could you maybe... jog my memory? I don't think I was there..." she asked meekly. Anything to get her mind off of the struggling Hunter - she hoped she would be let into the room soon.
  21. Flare blushes softly at the comment, but put a brave face on anyways. "Eheh... you're not so bad yourself." she commented brashly, giving him a look-over spontaneously, hoping to stir him a little. She then grew slightly curious. "Hunter mentioned me?" but then remembered. "Oh yeah... to ask for me. Huh..." she trailed, before laughing slightly. "Well, it's nice to meet you Draco. Flare Blitz here. Some of my friends call me Blitzy for a "pet name" though." she replied, moving to stand next to the pegasus.
  22. Flare's face immediately flared up as she turned to the male pegasus. "No way! Hunter is my good friend!" she exclaimed. Yes, she did care about Hunter with everything she had, but that didn't mean she was "that way"... and then the thought struck her. She wasn't actually sure. She felt her instincts went for a male but... would being with a female be so bad? No, she couldn't think like that... besides, she didn't know Hunter nearly as well enough as she should to be able to make a judgement. Still, she would be fully supportive and help her take care of the baby and not listen if people made comments when they were out and about together. She turned to Draco once more. "Sorry for the outburst... I'm just really nervous..." she excused feebly.
  23. Flare paced around the waiting room anxiously - the nurses had told her to step outside for the time being. She was allowed back in shortly, but still... it felt odd not being there, despite being requested to witness the birth. She wouldn't even miss anything... but she felt so... wrong stood outside just because one measly doctor said so. She continued to pace, her mind whirling heavily.
  24. Flare jolted with a start. Hunter needed her? What on earth was going on? She was okay, wasn't she? Was she? Why was she asking so many questions?! Quickly, she got to her feet and flared her wings furiously, taking flight and following Draco outside. She wasn't even going to question why Hunter needed her, but if she did, then Flare would be there, no doubt. That was the least she could do. Flying beside Draco, she was too worried to speak. Hospital... why? Had Hunter hurt herself? And then it dawned on her. Hunter was pregnant. And she had been carrying the foal for a while, or so she had said... which could only mean one thing. Flare's mouth formed a thin line of concentration as she tried to steel her courage. She had never been good with hospitals, but she would try her best for Hunter's sake; after all, she was probably more scared than she was. "I hope she's going to be okay..." whispered Flare to herself as they both landed in front of the hospital. She burst through the doors without waiting for Draco, and began to harass doctors and nurses for Hunter's whereabouts; once she got it, she bolted straight to her room, as fast as her small wings would carry her. As soon as she got in there, she was greeted by the sight of Hunter. "I came here as fast as I could!" she cried, panting heavily. (Sorry I wasn't here yesterday - study and school caught up with me. T^T I won't be on much at all today either, but I will do my best to post appropriately. Sorry again! T^T)
  25. Flare skipped through the town, happy as could be. "Hunter sure is nice..." she muttered to herself as she continued down the path. She bumped into several ponies, and when they told her to "Watch where you're going!" she simply retorted rudely: "Why don't you?" and carried on with her happy-go-lucky wander. Suddenly, her stomach gave a rumble. "Oh my... I'm starving. I haven't eaten today..." she mumbled, before she sought out a nearby bakery. "Seems promising." she said with a shrug, before trotting into the bakery.
