Where exactly are the criminals and they tyranny that you need feel the need to arm yourself for? People who are arm themselves aren't free, they're scared. Scared of things they heard or seen in the media. Scared of things that likely will never happen to them. I see and hear on the news almost every day that someone has been shot. I don't own a gun because I'm not afraid of the things that likely will never happen to me. The only thing that really scares me is that more and more and more guns are being sold, and there is a certain number of them really shouldn't have them, or cite reasons that you stated. It's easier in this country to buy a gun than it is to buy a car.

Provably false. You do not need a back ground check to buy a car. You do not need any permit or license to buy a car. Teenagers can buy cars. As far as I know, no type of car is banned in some states.
