  1. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "I wouldn't call it local knowledge. I just made a guess that his may be a decent spot. I was right." Ryo took a seat on his own towel and stretched out, relaxing in the sun. "It does feel good to finally have a break from work. Even if all I'm doing is lying on a beach and talking with a friends, it's nice to get outside once in a while. Though moments like this make me grateful and upset that I don't have fur. It's good because I can cool off a lot easier, bad because I have to take care that my skin doesn't burn. Minor complaints really." Shizuko however didn't want to relax, instead she got out a small plastic shovel she had brought in the bag and started digging in the sand a short distance away from the two as to not annoy them. Her plan was simple. Make a sand castle without using a model bucket. Harder than it looks, but she was going to enjoy the challenge. "Bass? Since we have the time, would you mind telling me a bit more about yourself? I don't really know anything about you besides your name and job."
  2. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "Alright then." Ryo led the way back to the section of the beach he had set up on. It was like he he said, much less crowded than the front or middle. In fact it felt even less crowded than earlier 'Guess some people saw what they wanted and left. You could smell it in the air. Well, less people around just give us more space. Can't complain.' "We set up here, good view of the beach and since we're relatively alone we have unobscured sunlight. If you want to go and grab your things and meet us back here, we can relax."
  3. @@Ethan Sawyer, "You know what? I'm not going to question it. Time Travel." @@Pucksterv, Wade turned his ears around at the sight of someone he recognised approaching. It was indeed exactly who Scarlett said it was. Wade stood from his sitting position and looked over to Caramel. "Hey Captain. Long time no see. How have the years been treating you?"
  4. @@Ethan Sawyer, "I'm going to use that as a confirmation that my theory has some validation to it. Good to know that I haven't been wasting my time. Anyway, enough about Science. I'm going to safely guess that you sent invitations to the rest of the old crew, have any of them turned up already? Or are we the first?"
  5. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "I'll come with and hang about. The sand where we set down is nice, soft on the surface but hard once you did down a little bit, very good for building and this fortress of sand isn't going to build itself you know. I'm just waiting until something interesting happens in this festival. Disappointing so far." "I'm going to presume that you may have brought a few things with you? Should be go get them and move further away from the crowds?"
  6. @@Ethan Sawyer, "Thanks for the trust, after years of researching time I did come to some conclusions, and one of those being based around the same concept as law. That every action in time has adverse effects. The diagram I like to use is a river to represent time and a rock to represent the actions. Dropping a pebble into the river will cause some ripples, causing the water to react and displace itself until it's fixed, because a pebble is only small the chance of water being completely knocked out of the river is very low. On the counter, dropping a huge rock into a river will cause a huge effect, causing time to displace violently to fix the change, but this also carries the chance of water being completely removed from the river, essentially erasing something from time itself. It's a crude diagram, but it's what I've got for now. I call it the Ripple effect." Wade noticed he was rambling on about his theories, he couldn't help it. He was proud of this and wanted to share it with someone who he knew would at least get the concept of what he was trying to explain. "Sorry for filling your mind with my theories as soon as you arrive. That was very rude of me. Like it or not, you're the only reason I started this research in the first place and I wanted to share my finding with someone. I can't tell the people I work with, because I don't know how big an impact that will make in time." @@Unicorncob, "Yeah, I agree. You can't have too much to drink. Well you can't. I know a few ponies who will be down and out after only a few. Lightweights."
  7. @@Ethan Sawyer, "Intergalactic travel? You're telling me that travelling off of the planet into the stars is a complete possibility? Not just a possibility, but has successfully been achieved long time ago? 5 years you've been away for us and the minute you come back into contact with us you let me in on another concept that most likely should not be even considered for a few many many years time. I have to write a paper about this, add this onto my research I'm already conducting on magic advancement and I've got a busy life from here on out. But 50 years? That's a long time. Hopefully you made some friends during that time." Swilling around everything and considering what he was just told, Wade got very curious about what else is actually possible and they just don't know about. What methods do they lack, what knowledge are they missing? To Wade, this concept was very tempting.
  8. Wade laughed a little to himself, satisfied with the result he got. Being called Traitor was just an added little bonus. He walked over to the two and crouched next to them, @@Ethan Sawyer, "I don't recall saying I was ever on your side in the battle of which one of us will get crushed to death by Tyra first. Well here you are anyway. The most interesting pony I ever met, in the flesh. I won't even ask how long it has been since you last saw us. With the whole little time thing you do. 5 years it's been for us I think. I will say, it's nice to see you again. The fact that the first thing I got you to say to me was Traitor is a nice little bonus. I suppose I should say, Welcome Back." Wade genuinely smiled as he greeted Scarlett.
  9. @@Unicorncob, "Well, ask her yourself. She's to your left. Maybe you should hurry up and get her before she runs and tries to hide." Having just spotted Scarlett with his ears, he felt compelled to let Tyra know where she was. Wade wasn't the only one who was going to have one of Tyra's death hugs, so what's the harm of giving her a little nudge in the direction of someone else?
  10. "I do think that this will be an entertaining time indeed. From what I remember of our old friends this is going to be interesting. But is anything ever a straight forward as that when Scarlett is involved? I'd think not. Speaking of, where ever is she? If she told us to meet here her, you'd think that she'd at least turn up on time."
  11. @@Unicorncob, "Really? Only 14? I kind of expected a lot more out of you if I'm going to be entirely honest. Still 14 is an impressive number non the less. Sounds like you've had quite an interesting time these last few years. You'll definitely have to tell me some stories about your travels another day. I hope your family is doing well anyway. So, did you also get a letter? Meet here with some camping gear?"
  12. @@Unicorncob, 'Yeah, this is every bit of painful as I remember it. Do I have regrets? Some. Was it worth it? Yes.' "I've been fine. Mostly the same old same old for the last 5 years. With the exception of my person research in more advance forms of magic. No advancements have been made yet, I just think I don't have the means or understanding to cast spells of such degree. Enough of me rambling on about my boring life. First thing, how have you been? It has been too long. Second, your hugs still hurt. A lot."
  13. @@Unicorncob, Needless to say Wade was not surprised that this person was also here, it just confirmed his suspicions that That group of people had all been invited. Most likely at least. Anyway, he smiled as the mare approached an he stood up to great her. "Tyra! Long time no see. How long has it been, 5 years? Around that? I lost track of time a while ago." With Trya being who she is, Wade could guess what she'd appreciate. He extended out his fore hooves. "Come on now, you know you want a hug. Come here." 'I'm going to regret this aren't I?'
  14. 'So, I'm the one sneakily getting sent letters now? Talk about a role reversal. That's my job usually. Whatever, nice change of pace from monotony at least.' Wade he received a letter during his time off from work. While originally this would not have been strange to him, the sender of said letter was certainly enough to warrant his full attention. It had been a long time, or at least felt like a long time since his last encounters with this person. Needless to say, Wade was curious as to what brought her back here. And why he was requested to bring camping gear of all things. Arriving in the market, people gave Wade a wide berth as even during breaks he still liked to wear his uniform, it came with a good number of benefits on top of just being fashionable. The space made is easy for him to search through the crowds with his hearing, keeping keen while scanning for any face in which he can draw familiarities with. He could see non for now. With a slightly tired sigh, he took a seat on a bench. Waiting for someone to turn up. 'I swear if this was my co-workers pulling a trick on me again I'm going to shoot them.'
  15. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "Thanks for the compliment. Unsurprisingly most people seem to think that having animal appendage in replacement to human appendages on a human body is rather strange. Let's be honest it is a little bit weird. Well you don't need to worry about not having anyone to talk you. Shizuko and I, we're your friends now. Anyway, why don't we go sit down? Relax for a little? I found a really open spot towards the back, good sunlight and it's not as crowded as down here."
  16. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "I don't expect her to want to be around all day. She's just a child after all. She'll get bored in maybe an hour and want to go home. The thing is though we don't like being apart from each other for too long, we rely on each other for a lot more than you think. Though this is a special occasion, so I suppose I can make an exception." Ryo started thinking. He didn't have anyone he could ask to watch Shizuko for him, no one he trusted enough or was within the town. She was dependable enough to be left on her own, so he may just do that.
  17. @@Mentis Soliloquy, "Well if you don't want to enter, that's fine. I suppose thinking about it I can see a plethora of negative connotations that can go with a contest of this type. More I think the more reasons come to mind. Well, since we're here why don't we hang out for the Festival? I've a gut feeling that this is going to get more interesting the later into the day it goes."
  18. https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/white-r9463 I did a thing. Now to spend the next few hours thinking of improvements or replacements for what I have written.
  19. Damn, making an OC with the only theme being "A character that I can call a 'Ponysona'" is a lot more difficult than I originally thought. Making something that can be constant, interesting while being somewhat normal is challenging. It's been a while since I had a challenge.

    1. Koukatsu

      Koukatsu

It doesn't need to be constantly interesting. A ponysona is pony-you. Pony Kou isn't all that much more interesting than RL Kou, he's just a bit prettier. ;)

      Child Of Darkness

Yeah I get the point, I'm a perfectionist and want this to be good. I've been here 3 years and never decided to make a persona. Also, I know it doesn't have to be constantly interesting. Which is why I put the comma between those two words, but I don't want it to be dull either. Finding the perfect balance between Interesting, Extraordinary and Normal is the challenge I'm faced with.

  20. "You should learn to have a bit more faith in me. I can take care of myself." "The patterns of the past have proven that statement to be other wise. I guess if you're with someone you trust I can have a bit more faith in you." Ryo reached out and messed up her hair while rubbing her head. For him, the atmosphere felt a little awkward, so he had to try and think of something to break it. "So from I what I can gather the Bikini contest is going to be the next thing that happens during this event. I don't know if its just me be these events seem to be rattling off way too fast, without much of a break in-between. To me that just doesn't seem very good, what with this being a whole day thing if everything is done in a short time what's the point of calling it an all day event? Ahh, I need to stop rambling. I guess what I'm asking is if you're going to be participating in it or not?" "Yeah, Ryo really wants to know the answer to that for various reasons." Shizuko looked of to the side again with a smirk and a small giggle. "You really are trying to make things difficult for me aren't you?"
  21. @@Meson Bolt, "A bedroom is a very special type of room which is designed for you to sleep in. Its a private room for one or two people go to sleep or do more private activities. It was a very common thing in pre war society. They're very practical." White said with such a huge amount of Sarcasm that is was most likely suffocating. "Whatever, have fun around here. I need to do some work on my Eyebot." White took his leave from the armoury, moving into one of the other rooms along the same corridor.
  22. @@Meson Bolt, "It's getting to be late at night and the storm may not let up. We do have some bed rooms on the next floor up. Should be enough for everyone since those two pricks will be staying in the main room. If we don't have a choice, we may have to stay the night. We can't well attack a base while tired can we?"
  23. @@Meson Bolt, "The ammo is down here." White moved over to one of the corners of the room which had a large number of ammo cases, each one filled with a different type of ammo. Searching for a few minutes before bringing out an ammo case and putting it down in front of Foray. "Let me quickly scan this, okay. I have 700 .44 rounds in this ammo case alone. I don't think I will have more though. Take what you need, just leave me some okay? I don't want a dry storage, I use these bullets myself."
  24. @@Meson Bolt, "Well if that's what you want to do, fair enough. That was just my personal recommendation. I guess the way you prefer your .44 is different from the way in which I like mind. I prefer it to have more stopping power and pack a much large punch, but at the sacrifice of some Range and an increased amount of Recoil. Of course I hold mine in a telekinetic grip so Recoil isn't that much of an issues for me. I guess if you want to sacrifice a bit of power for the added bonus of range and recoil control, it makes sense."
