  1. As I've stated above, it kinda already has become a thing of the past sadly  >_> Halo was pretty much the only fps that still had split-screen. In fact, I can't think of many games nowadays that offer it.

CoD still does... Wow... CoD is good at something!

  2. Agreed. The Simpsons, the good ol' Simpsons, is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I hate that I have to make that distinction. I have to explain that I'm a fan of "classic" Simpsons. And there's not a line in the sand; it's not like MLP generations. There wasn't one moment when the show went from genius to garbage. It's a gradient. I'd estimate that I became disinterested in the show around S12, and stopped watching entirely around S15, save for the movie, which was a big letdown. I've watched a few minutes of new episodes here or there, out of morbid curiosity, and concluded that it's still terrible. What's truly sad to me is that they've forever blown their chance to have a spectacular finale, and end the show beautifully and with grace, like Futurama. For The Simpsons, that train has sailed, and one of the greatest shows ever to grace tv will continue to humiliate itself as it gradually sinks into oblivion, or possibly drags on until the Earth explodes.

The finale will be them driving to the Christmas pageant at the beginning of the series if the creators get their way.

I personally think that SpongeBob needs to be cancelled, it's a money hungry cash cow, and, let's be honest, it was one when we were little, too. It's just gotten so bad.

"A pleasure," Guy-Man said, shaking Peregrine's hoof. "Well, there's not too much to tell, really, I could write my life story in a single paragraph. I'll give you all the condensed version. "Well, I was born and raised in Canterlot, shortly after I got out of school I went to Manehattan. My father was a lieutenant colonel in the Equestria Marine Corps and always hoped I would surpass him. While I instantly took to the survival aspect of training, I couldn't ever hurt anypony. I listened to a lot of radio when I was a kid and I convinced my mom to get me a guitar. Eventually, I spent less time on training and more time on my music. This infuriated my father but my mother was glad that I was happy. I got my cutie mark shortly after, which aided my mother in convincing my father to give up on pushing me to join the Marines. As for Thomas, he was my neighbor. We'd always play games together, sit by each other in school, and so on. He was musically gifted as well, and we both got our musical cutie marks on the same day! We decided it was fate and we started a band together called Darlin' with Laurent Bancowitz. We originally did punk rock, and in one of our reviews, someone said it sounded like "daft punky thrash," and after Darlin' disbanded, Thomas and I went on to make Daft Pony. We eventually decided to start making EDM after we heard Vinyl Scratch," he concluded. "What about you? What's your story?"

  4. @@Reaver,

"Nah, I'm good, we can go meet this Sylvia, and I don't know that I've met Peregrine, and I hardly know Blitz," Guy-Man said. He then stretched out with a long yawn, and trotted over to the entrance of the tent. He could see the house now, and he even had ideas planned out for family and friends, such as a nice backyard with an outdoor kitchen. "Ready when you are."

You say non-pony, are humanoid races acceptable?

Yes, so anthros would be acceptable, and I suppose a pony as a mount would be alright.

Is there an over-arching story? or is it more of a free roam?

I currently have no story in mind, which is why I am looking for a group to help me plan, and from what I can tell about our other RPs, you seem to be good with a story.

"Thank you, if you ever want to practice, call me on this number," Emile said, handing him a sheet with only 3 numbers on it. "It's on a private system, so it's not like a normal phone number. I understand that this isn't a comic book, and I don't need you to lead. I would very much like an alliance of sorts between metas throughout the city though, it would make things much easier for all of us. I really could use River's help on solving the case, and your help to give me time to investigate crime scenes and to narrow down the search."

"I think you are one of the strongest vigilantes in this city, and I'm trying to unite some to form a team, kind of like the Justice League. I can tell you took a lot of inspiration from Captain America, I took a lot of inspiration from the Batfamily, namely Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batman. I've been working on the FEAR case recently, but I've been having to deal with some other problems around the city, and it would be nice to have you and River helping me. I'm not stellar in fighting yet, so I could also use a sparring partner, what do you say? Would you be interested in being the first member besides me of the real Justice League?" Emile said to Pat.

  8. I came up with what I thought was a marvelous idea for a role play. It would combine several fantasy themes with our world. For example, modern firearms with magical spells instead of grenades. I was thinking a bit of a monster hunting role play, or sellswords on a mission from some emperor, etc. There would be a proficiency system to avoid all the characters being too similar, such as small arms proficiency, aka your average firearms like shotguns, pistols, rifles, etc., heavy arms proficiency, aka rocket launchers, light machine guns, etc., blades proficiency, and magic proficiency. I'm just looking for people to help flesh out my idea and hopefully gauge interest in the idea. This would be a non-pony RP.

"I told you what I thought you needed to know," Emile said. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and a large monitor lowered from the ceiling, asking for a code. "Amanda Silverman," Emile said, and the monitor said "Welcome, Rift," and a list of names with pictures by them appeared, as well as a large holographic keyboard in front of the couch. Emile walked through it with his beer and sat down next to Pat. "This list is how I know you, compiled by the US government. They consider you to be very powerful, but not a threat due to your patriotism. Here's the thing, I think you seem very skilled, and I would like to perhaps form a team with you."

  10. @@Pat.Rio.T.,

"Sorry, about that, I'm used to it now I guess. NIfty ability huh? I call myself Rift, but my current secret identity is Jon Oliver. My real name is Emile Truman. I'm on the FBI's most wanted list. I know you're a strong patriot, but hear me out. The reason I'm wanted is because I knew something I shouldn't have. The reason I got this ability because I used to work for a company called Cyprus Industries. We had many of the world's top scientists working there, and many things were made by us. I overheard some stuff on the intercoms that I probably shouldn't have. There was a top secret military device that would be used to transport troops, weapons, and vehicles thousands of miles within a matter of seconds, and it would be sold to the highest bidder. That night, I stayed in late, and destroyed it. I set off some alarms, and it seems the US was the current high bidder, so they were pissed I screwed them over. I managed to destroy the blueprints as well. In the midst of destroying it though, it blew up in my face, leaving me bleeding and filled with shrapnel. When the guards pointed their guns at me, I just couldn't stop thinking about my girlfriend and her son, and my home, and my nice, warm, safe bed, and then I fell right into my bed. I called my girlfriend and told her what had happened. We were going to meet here in Tollopolis, but that never happened. The man I killed? He was one of the head researchers on that project, and I asked him where my girlfriend and her son were. He started laughing, and told me they were killed several years ago. In my rage, I created a rift, stuck his head through it, and closed it, decapitating him. That's pretty much my life story. Now, you can turn me in, you can leave, or you could listen more, maybe become friends even," Emile said.

The armored man had finally reached his destination. He walked through the door and a few men clad in hooded robes came forward and started removing his armor. They then took him to some healing baths for his wounds, and gave the armor to some smiths.
