  1. Troblems's post in How get you a rank higer was marked as the answer
If you're asking how to not be a Blank Flank anymore, the answer is to post around the site. The admins decided it best to have a rank for incoming people to try a deflect trolling by new accounts, and to leave it, you have to contribute to the site. It puts limits on what you can do, but it's only for five posts. You can read more about it in this thread.

  2. Troblems's post in Re-add to Canterlot Skype groups please? was marked as the answer
    Hi there,

MLP Forums has no official Skype groups that it endorses outside its own staff groups, which you have to be a member of staff to be apart of to be in. If any such groups claimed to to affiliated, it is simply not the case. MLP Forums used to have a chat function built into the site, but it was short lived and quickly removed.
  3. Troblems's post in Cannot add characters was marked as the answer
    Hi there,

You need to be at least a muffin in order to use the roleplay sections. In order to be a muffin, you need to have 5 active posts. Most sections count towards post count. The ones that don't are Fan Clubs, Cloudsdale Colosseum, and the Roleplay Out of Character sections, which you currently don't have access to.
  4. Troblems's post in Contact Information links not working. was marked as the answer
You just want to put in your name, not the full link. I've fixed the dA, but can't do the same for the Youtube because you don't have a channel name.
  5. Troblems's post in Signature was marked as the answer
    Hi @,

You can add pictures to your signature the same way you would to a post. I'm not exactly sure where you are in the process, so I'm going to start at the beginning. First, you'll want to go to your profile, and in the top right, click the 'Edit My Profile' button. You'll be taken to the settings area known as 'User CP' or User Control Panel for your MLP Forums account. On the left side, you'll want to click the 'Signature' button. That should bring up what would look to be a normal post text box.

From there you can use this FAQ to assist you in uploading the picture itself. Keep in mind the size limitations 600x100, and if for whatever reason you still can't get it to work, PM me, and I can set it for you.
  6. Troblems's post in Welcoming thread opening post issue was marked as the answer
The template that is in the Welcome Plaza is a tad wonky with edits. The up side is that those posts are recoverable by a moderator, and I've sent you the original.

Edit: got conformation via PM that this issue is now resolved, so I'm locking it.
  7. Troblems's post in I really need help was marked as the answer
    @, Fixed.
  8. Troblems's post in When MLP FiM ends will MLPForums end with it? was marked as the answer
@@Kivil, I've moved your thread to Site Questions. Considering we have no indication as to when MLP:FIM will end, for the foreseeable future MLP Forums will remain open.
  9. Troblems's post in Pokemon Theme was marked as the answer
It actually goes a bit farther back than just the thread above. https://mlpforums.com/topic/125699-eventsspecial-days/

Basically people were wanting more events around the site. There's another event coming up in two weeks, as well.

I was going to move your thread to Site Questions, but @@Blue Moon beat me to it. >.>
  10. Troblems's post in How do I submit a banner that doesn't have to do with the monthly contest? was marked as the answer
@@Paladybug1, Banner submissions should be sent in one PM to all admins. This is the process whether it is being submitted for the contest or not.
  11. Troblems's post in Humans in Equestria? was marked as the answer
@@Quinch, Most humanoid style RPs mention something about Equestria in the title, however, not every RP with Equestria in the title is a human-style. That being said, there are a couple that have human style interactions. Whether they are what you are looking for is a different matter. You would also need approval from the DMs before posting.

You're also welcome to start your own.
  12. Troblems's post in what do you ponies do in the role play sections? was marked as the answer
@,  The great thing about roleplay is that so long as someone else is willing to join you on your journey, you can do just about anything you like, within the forum rules. Some suggestions for starting out, though:
Your first roleplay you should not be the DM, or dungeon master. Let someone else worry about that, while you just enjoy the fun.
If you do decide to start your own roleplay, make use of the planning prefix, which can be altered by editing the first post. That way others can help you settle on an idea for your roleplay.

Consider starting with a slice of life-style roleplay. Usually these don't have a whole lot of magic or power involved, so you can just get used to how roleplay mechanics work.
Once you've gotten your hooves wet, then move onto the more challenging types of roleplays, the action, adventure, etc.

As for the two sections of roleplay, Everfree Empire is where you want to start and is considered the "normal" roleplay area. Equestrian Empire requires you to have a staff approved character before you can begin, and allows members to choose cast characters to play as.

The roleplay section is quite large, and can be daunting. If you do decide to join an already existing RP, let the people in the RP know that it's your first time, and they'll probably be willing to help you out. And if you have any further questions, feel free to PM me, or reply to this topic.
  13. Troblems's post in IP Question was marked as the answer
@@Cool Shades, Your best bet would be to submit a support ticket. You can either email support@mlpforums.com or click the "Help" button on the navigation bar at the top of this page. Because this is a more personal matter than most of the questions we get in this section, I'm going to lock this thread so this conversation can be had in a more private place.
  14. Troblems's post in Blank Flank roleplay was marked as the answer
The reason the roleplay sections are blocked for blank flanks is because RP is the prime target for trolls. While I know it can be frustrating, by the time a troll has made 5 posts, the staff can usually stop them. Keep in mind that the staff here is completely volunteer, and we have to do our best with what tools we have available, including manpower.
  15. Troblems's post in Voting problems was marked as the answer
As @@Misty Rose said, you have to be Muffin rank to vote, which you are now. That was implemented to keep voting fair, and in the past multiple accounts have been made by people to influence polls.
  16. Troblems's post in Where do you find BronyCon related info, like carpools and room shares? was marked as the answer
@@SingAndCry, If you're asking about on this site in particular there isn't a section for it because Poniverse isn't partnered with the BronyCon convention as we are with other cons. However, there's a threads that might be what you're looking for.

  17. Troblems's post in Need help on disabling pms was marked as the answer
@, No worries, we were all new once. To re-enable your PMs, you would want to use the dropdown menu which you click your name on the navigation bar. Then you would click Personal Messenger on the lower right of the dropdown menu, and it'll take you back to your inbox with a pop-up asking if you want to turn your messages back on.

  18. Troblems's post in My topic was approved was marked as the answer
It's a known issue with moderation queue and topic creation. It's being worked on, so bear with us. For the time being you'll get that notification every time a post is approved in a topic you created.
  19. Troblems's post in Number of Posts to Become a Moderator was marked as the answer
As Gone Airbourne said, it's more about being a beacon of the community, staying out of trouble, and generally being helpful than the number of posts required.

We've had people become staff a month or two after joining. It's really based on when we need people, the quality of posts and activity level than anything else. (Note that activity level =/= number of posts).
  20. Troblems's post in poll question was marked as the answer
@@maggie_cat, As Brechard and Peytonjay said, you have to be Muffin rank (5 posts) or above. There's been some issues in the past with competition polls and people creating new accounts just to boost numbers, so the minimum post requirement was added to stop people taking advantage of being able to vote with no posts.
  21. Troblems's post in What are warning points? was marked as the answer
@, I moved your thread to the appropriate section.

Warning points are used to correct behavior in members, and as mentioned above they decay over time. You can read more about them at this link.

The fact that you have zero is a good thing.

@@MidnightPallette1992, I moved your thread to the site Q&A. Don't worry about the picture that was removed, it was a minor infraction. Just don't do it again. As for the stuff on your phone, tablet and computer, just keep it off the site, there's no reason anyone should ever know about it, unless you decide to tell them. Relax, take a breath, it's not a big deal.

  25. Troblems's post in Pending Equestrian Empire characters was marked as the answer
We try and get to characters as quickly as possible. Some characters take longer, and most of what is currently in queue is waiting on the creator to respond, rather than on a staff review. That being said, the biggest thing that you can do to get your characters approved is read (and comply with) the original character rules for the section, which are located below:
