Eh. Needed to do this before the new episode tomorrow.
Keep in mind these may differ from what I posted in each episode's thread, since I rewatch most of them.
Flight to the Finish: 1.5/10
Honestly, I hated almost everything about this episode, and I usually am very relaxed and flexible in non-Rarity episodes.
They tried too hard to make people feel bad, RD was the ONLY mane 6 character to appear, hogging the spotlight with what I feel to be an unnecessary amount of screen-time this season. Furthermore, the amount of development in Scootaloo's/RD's sisterly-bond was extremely disappointing.
Throw in an overrated song and flat humor to the story, and you've got my least favorite episode of the season, if not the whole series.
Rainbow Falls: 3/10
This episode was fun the first time through, but upon re-watching it, the only enjoyable aspects were Derpy's return and Bulk Biceps.
Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spitfire, and Fleetfoot were all horribly OOC, but the problem is, that's the norm for Corey Powell, who wrote this episode. While having decent storylines, she doesn't understand the majority of the character's personalities, if any of them at all, and completely butchers them on a regular basis.
She can't write the characters that made me fall in love with the show in the first place, and the evidence is in this very episode.
Three's a Crowd: 8/10
I found Discord the be a very enjoyable character this episode, even if he did make my waifu sick
This episode gave me one of my favorite Rarity lines of the season, and Discord made the rest interesting.
Twilight has been a bit of a snore this season, but I still have hope, given we haven't seen a ton of her.
Also, that fight scene with that plant monster was just epic
Pinkie Apple Pie: 8/10
I found "Apples to the Core" to be HORRIBLY overrated, and I'd be lying if I said that and the lack of Rarity aren't what kept it down.
Other than that, a great episode. I would've liked to see Pinkie less flanderized, but the Apple Family dynamic really made this interesting
Daring Don't: 8/10
I found this episode to be a good one when I saw it, and I found RD's constant fangirling to be absolutely adorable
There was a good amount of action scenes, but characters were a bit lacking.
Overall, good, but not great
Bats!: 8.25/10
I don't like Flutterbat. Just going to put that out there. It was dumb and pointless, and I hope it doesn't come back.
The ending was a nice one, though, and the whole 5 against 1 dynamic was very interesting
And don't forget about that amazing hazmat suit Rarity wore!
Princess Twilight Sparkle: 8.5/10
I remember being on the edge of my seat for the first MLP episode I'd be watching at it's first airing; I remember staying up all night in anticipation, and I remember enjoying the way Rarity was being characterized enjoyable and a stark, yet positive contrast from her S3 counterpart
Yeahh, it was a good one, but sort of weak compared to the other 2-parters.
Power Ponies: 9/10
I remember THOROUGHLY enjoying this episode, and I feel it was a refreshing cleanser that people took way too seriously. It was a nice change of pace, being very light-hearted and laid back; there were plenty of things one could complain about, but I stand firm on this episode wasn't to be taken as seriously as others.
Castle-Mania: 9.5/10
Rarity in this episode Oh lord.
I remember all of the squees I let out because of her character.
Restored my faith in the whole show!
It was humorous, had a healthy balance of the mane 6, and the characterization was excellent There isn't too much to dislike about this episode past the fact that the episode's premise wasn't too original
Simple Ways: 9.75/10
THIS EPISODE THO.
Seriously; this was horribly entertaining to watch, and it even was courteous enough to give me a new punching bag in Trenderhoof
I think I may have been the only one to find RariHick extremely attractive in the short dose we saw her in Applejewel is overrated, give me RariHick any day
I found the dynamic Rarity and Applejack brought to the table as great as it's ever been, on top of being humorous and just generally entertaining to watch, even if the floods in the aftermath it created did nothing but make me have to white-knight for my waifu, which isn't always as enjoyable as it seems.
Pinkie Pride: 9.76/10
I only give perfect 10s to episodes I can't help but jump up and down over, and those episodes are usually Rarity episodes, so yeahh...
This was a very entertaining episode to watch; Cheese Sandwich kicked major ass and brought the Pinkie from S1 and S2 back, hopefully to stay!
I don't have too many criticisms for this episode, if any at all
Rarity Takes Manehattan: 11/10
Rarity was perfect here.
Best song of the series.
Showcased her generosity extremely well.
Gave her a foil.
Coco Pommel.
Rainbow Thread.
It made my heart BURST!
I couldn't say a bad thing about this episode if I wanted to
Eh. I'm probably going to start a Waifu thread in the lounge in a few minutes for all of us singles who know calling candy-colored cartoon ponies is where it's at
Regardless, I think people seem to be viewing Valentine's Day as a romantic lovey-dovey-special-somepony day; I disagree.
That's the common trope, is that it's for romance, which is no fun if you don't have that someone to be romantic with, but I, personally, don't view it as that.
I just view it as a day celebrating love in general
I may not have someone to get all romantic with in real life, but you know, I've got plenty of people and things to share my love with in a platonic way.
I love Rarity, of course ( ) MLP, my family, my friends on here and real life, my fuggin' dog, my computer, my job, my school, my guitar, the birds, the bees, the trees, all that good stuff
This Valentine's Day, I'm pretty much just going to celebrate it anyway, because I can still love, dammit.
I'm not an emotionless robot, you know
It'll be V-Day in a couple of hours here in Texas, so, until then, Happy V-day everyone
Man, the nostalgia I'm feeling for my early days on the forums...leaving the "y" out of "everypony" in my welcoming topic and reaching 100 posts before 20 brohoofs without doing any RPs.
Man...I've made friends, made enemies, I've watched people come and go, I've won tourneys for being the best fan of a mane 6, I've ran tourneys for the best Secondary/Background fans, everytime Rarity does something significant in show, I get bombarded on Skype...
I'm pretty sure all of you have heard of a little game called Fighting is Magic, right? You know, the one that got canned by Hasbro? Yeahh. Stupid, I know.
Here's an article about it from a source that no one can randomly change because it isn't on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighting_Is_Magic
Anyway, the one thing we did get out of that game was some amazing music. I'm gonna be ranking the songs of the mane 6, because, you know, they're just that badass
I'm also going to provide the songs down in the comment section, or, at least, the links to them.
Anyway, shall we begin?
6.) Fluttershy's Theme
Rating: 4/10
Honestly, this is the only one I dislike. Now, of course, it has a Fluttershy feel; it's played on an acoustic guitar, and it sounds kinda hippie-ish, which, I dunno about you, doesn't make good fighting music.
Now, come one, come all, this song is just boring, even if it wasn't fighting music. Where the hell would you play this crap? I can picture good scenarios for almost all of the other songs, but this one? No. It isn't good. I don't like it.
Of course, it is very Fluttershy, but it also is very lame.
5.) Pinkie Pie's Theme
Rating: 8/10
Unfortunately, this one did sort of get the short end of the stick and had to be placed in the 5-slot; not because it was a bad song, mind you, but only because the others are better.
Of course, while it isn't something you'd instantly associate with a fighting game (it is something that would be given a pass, though), it is something that's very fitting to her character; it's very fast paced, and you'd instantly associate Pinkie with it. I thoroughly enjoy listening to this song; I can see it being played at a rave or something.
It's very Pinkie, but it doesn't sound nearly as wimpy as Fluttershy's, and it's something you can easily associate with her.
4.) Rainbow Dash's Theme
Rating: 8.75/10
Yes, it fits the criteria for Rainbow Dash; it's fast, it's hard hitting, and it's definitely something that you can put in a fighting game.
My only problem with this song is that it isn't something like the 3 themes ahead of it, or even Pinkie Pie's; it isn't something that's all too catchy, you know?
While fitting most of the criteria to a T, as a stand alone song, no; only thing that keeps it from being a top 3 material, because, let's face it; the top 3 meet all of grading criteria to a T, so much that I listen to all 3 of them regularly.
3.) Applejack's Theme:
Rating:9.75/10 (Need more AJ and Rarity emotes, forums. Dang.)
You get this silly sounding banjo theme to start it off, which, is kinda groan worthy.
Get past that, though, and you got a kick-ass theme that will blow your mind.
You can picture this being something in a fighting game; you can feel that this song is something that just bloody and beaten, but you want to get back up and take on the big dog, you want to just keep going on. It's epic, for a lack of better words.
Also, while doing that, it proves that it can be a standalone song in it's own right just because I find myself listening to it like I do my favorite bands U2, Megadeth, Soundgarden, etc.
Furthermore, it radiates Applejack.
Honestly, I think that the 2 ahead of it kinda keep it from being a perfect score; I just can't put it on the same level as these next two.
1.) Rarity's Theme & Twilight's Theme:
Rating: 10/10
I couldn't decide which one was better, so they had to share the one slot.
I'm a bit of an expert on Rarity, not trying to brag, and I know this song fits her perfectly.
It oozes glamour; it's got that trendy, hip dubstep theme, but it's also got that elegant, classy piano going for it. I can instantly picture it being a Rarity song. Furthermore, I can listen to this song all day; it's just so good...
Honestly, I've spent a lot of time browsing through Rarity fan works, and this might be my favorite out of all of them.
Now, for Twilight's, it's got a different feel.
It's just got that thing about it, it can't put my finger on it, but...
It's just so damn good. It doesn't deserve less than a 10/10, if you ask me.
Just listen to it, and find out yourself.

ghostie 3:16 : "For Faust so loved the world, she gave us a white and purple unicorn mare, and that anyone who believes in her shall not perish but have everlasting fabulousity."
So, in the Super Bowl on Sunday, we're gonna see the Seattle Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos.
Here's what I predict will happen:
They will play football, and most people will only watch it because they got invited to a Super Bowl Party or just because the commercials are awesome.
Winners:
My favorite football team will fly onto the field, Eagle wings full spread, and lasers shooting out of their eyes; they will be led by their new Quarterback, Buffalo Man, and they will melt both teams with their sexiness and fly away with the Super Bowl Title.
"Weird" Al Yankovic will have a guest appearance at some point in Season 4; in what role or capacity he will play is unknown.
Barack Obama was elected to serve as the 44th President of the United States of America; he will be the first man of African-American descent to serve in this capacity.
Micheal Phelps was broken the Olympic Record for Most Gold Medals won in a showing of the Olympic Games with 8 Gold Medals.
(I was about to post this in a topic that was about what your favorite pony meant to you; decided it was so long, it was better off in a blog.)
What does Rarity mean to me, eh?
*cracks knuckles*
Time for some Purple Speak because white doesn't show, dammit.
Well, I remember "Hurricane Fluttershy" was my first episode to watch, which, of course, Rarity didn't appear in; Fluttershy was my favorite pony, though, but nothing like it is with Rares now, of course. Just sorta kinda.
So, I dove right on in (which, of course, this was risky) and watched Equestria Girls as the second MLP thing I ever watched. (I loved it, by the way.)
I remember Rarity's first line I heard her speak:
"TWILIGHT!!! WHERE IS YOUR CROWN!?!?!?!?!"
I immediately thought, "I bet Twilight beat her to become a princess; look, they're both Unicorns, dammit."
After that;
"Oh, Twilight's a princess? Cool."
Then:
"I guess I didn't see her wings in HF."
"Why didn't she help in HF? Jerk."
Yep. I thought Rarity played the role of Sunset Shimmer when I first saw her.
Of course, I was totally wrong
Then, as I watched more, I was still trying to figure out who my favorite was for sure; I actually wasn't enjoying Fluttershy's performance all too much, and that sorta knocked her down a peg.
I found Rarity's sassiness in her confrontation with the others during the part when they were hashing it out over how they "wronged" each other particularly amusing; I was grinning.
I also found myself smiling at how cute I thought it was when Rarity said "Oh, well, I think you both gave it your all!" sort of awkwardly when they were all in a circle.
What sealed the deal was when she burst out in "IVEGOTIT!" in the human version of SC Corner, that adorable trans-atlantic dialect bringing a few awkward stares.
So, finished the movie, and I went to tell Afterwards "Hey, bitch, I'm a brony now." over my only means of participating in any fandom, Fanfiction.net.
"WHICHONESURFAVORITEGHOSTY!?!?!?"
I didn't even have a first thought when I typed out "Rarity."
"Nunununu, you're wrong. Rainbow Dash is best."
...Yeahh.
Anyway, I went to her page on MLPWiki and began reading about her; I actually saw my first flames about her in the comments section of her article.
...I was hurt, you know?
I never doubted it, though; not for a second. Rarity is my best pony, and always will be, dammit.
Regardless, I trudged through. It was hard being a Rarity fan in most places outside of these Forums, believe me; there's actually a group on FimFic dedicated to harrassing people like me. I'll link you, if you want. I ain't lying.
I grew to loathe constantly having to defend her with every step I took in this fandom. I just got tired of it, dammit. It was making it harder to enjoy my best pony. Again, never doubted it, though.
I wasn't just gonna let some assholes change my mind through harrassment. I'm not going to break in half that easily.
I wondered around for a month or so nomadically, trying to find a place where I wouldn't have to deal with this shit, dammit. Where I could admire my best pony in peace.
Found this place when I was writing up a research paper for my English class over Bronies, and I needed references; yes, I used a bunch of quotes from y'all, and I'm sorry if you feel plagiarized; if it's any consolation, I made a 98 on that paper using the info y'all gave me, so that should mean that y'all are considered to know what you're talking about and taken seriously in the eyes of my English teacher.
Regardless, I made an account after 3 or 4 days of lurking around, gathering info. I immediately decked out everything I could in a Rarity theme with what I knew how to do at the time.
I wasn't noticed an awful lot around here for the longest time, even if you may think "16,000 profile views after joining in October 2013? What the hell."
If I recall, I had 19 brohoofs when I hit Parasprite ranking, and 5 or 6 friends on my list.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand here; I wasn't being harassed by some insensitive pricks because they didn't like my best pony, and I got to participate in the fandom a lot more than I did, and I wasn't scared to speak what was on my mind; once I was able to overcome that fear, my admiration for my best pony only grew; I gained a ton of insight to her character, I'd rewatch her episodes over and over, and dammit, I was happy. I never second guess my best pony, and I never will. I have so much fun getting to fanboy over, you wouldn't believe what it's done for my soul (metaphorically speaking, of course; if you want the literal aspect, just replace "soul" with "heart.")
I was having such a good time! I didn't care if I wasn't getting a ton of attention; I was happy, dammit, and I still am just as happy as I was before I started getting slammed with this burst of attention brought on by my love and admiration of my best pony.
I still go back and rewatch her episodes, and I still go back and laugh at her over-the-top antics, and I still try to let people remember I know about there being other ponies in the show get that same sense of enjoyment that I did when I first became a brony, all because of that purple and white unicorn.
I don't know if I'd even still be a brony if it wasn't for Rarity, honestly; I might've just gotten over it in a week or so.
I dunno what else to say, man. Being a brony has made such a difference in my life, and that all stems back to my best pony. That's pretty much the gist of it.
You know, I've been feeling pretty nostalgic of someone in my life; one gone but never forgotten.
I'm speaking of my father; he's done more for me in my whole life, even today.
Here's me and my dad, New Year's Day, 2007; we had just gotten back from a Boy Scout Camping trip together and stopped to pick up some fireworks on the way back home.
He passed on in a car accident around 2 months later.
Now, I don't grieve for him anymore; I remember him warmly.
He raised me all on his own up until he kicked; I remember how he took me out in his truck some nights, just so we could listen to music, specifically, the same album ("War" by U2) over and over again, without skipping a track.
I remember looking at the dark green lights of the radio in that beat up white Ford; it was the only light. It was bright enough for me to remember looking up at him as he drove, the green light showing part of his face as he gazed down the road.
Oh, it was magical! I'll never have more fond memories than those he and I shared those nights in that truck.
I still have that album we listened to on those nights in my room; it stopped working a couple of weeks after he passed on. It's all scratched up, and the case is gone; it sits in a paper-thin case on top of my bookshelf, forever unmoved until I move on out of the house I stay in now.
It's not just more special now that it's broken, though; it's a beautiful thing.
Shortly after he died, that CD died with him.
Oh god...I'm getting a bit misty eyed just talking about this
That's something you only see in the movies; that's something that just can't be real, but, it is.
I don't speak of him as much as I do what affects me negatively, such as my heart.
Why?
Because I know I'm glad I had 10 years with him; I'd rather have just 10 years of him being my dad than a lifetime of anyone else, and why?
Because no one was like him.
He wasn't meant to be on this earth long. He spoke in pure poetry; you'd cling on to every word he said, not because you felt obliged to, like he was popular; but because you wanted to.
Parents of my friends who knew him all have different stories of him; he was something else.
He never yelled, but he was a parent; I'd cry in the store for some mundane reason, as children often do, and he'd just calmly speak to me, and, as much as I wanted to, I couldn't keep crying. He had that sort of impact with his words; they were so profound, so heavy, yet, so light, so understandable.
This is me now (Pardon the repost; don't have too many recent pictures of myself.) It's almost been 7 years since I last saw him. I've been living with my grandparents ever since, and I'm horribly grateful for them, as old-fashioned and set in their ways as they are; they do the best they can for me. I'm very appreciative of them.
But I still strive to be like my father.
If I could be half the father he was, I'd be damn proud of myself.
He raised me the best he could all on his own for 10 years. He was a great man; the kind that's such a Rarity, that meeting someone like him isn't even a once in a lifetime.
And there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about those nights, listening to U2 in that beat up white truck of his.
I know you can't read this, but thanks, dad; I'll never forget you.
Look at it; it looks like your trying to perform a root canal on a shark using nothing but a toothpick and toilet paper. You look frightening, honestly. Freddy Krueger would be scared of your face.
Now, I dunno who you are, or where you come from, but I'm tired of you walking around like you own the place, dammit. You ain't special, so stop acting like you are.
I've caught myself wondering what it was like looking through someone else's eyes before, and I know I'm not the only one out there who's wondered what other people see and think.
But, hell, man, check this out; technology grows every day, and we, as humans, grow more intelligent with it. (Weird, I know.)
I'm gonna let you take a peek inside of my head, literally, to see what I see when I watch an MLP episode.
Now, let me say something before we begin:
- You must remain calm; don't grow tense or fight it or anything, or we'll both have a nervous breakdown. Let the feelings I feel overtake you, don't fight it.
So, shall we begin?
Click on the spoilers, and, remember, remain calm and let it overtake you.
