How and when did you become a brony?

Why this month of this year, that being December 2013 for those who like to read backlogs. I knew about the craze and was intrigued about it. I knew a high school friend who enjoyed it and KotoRPlayerVIII, an internet buddy on Fanfiction, was also a fan of it. Plus there was this whole internet community of bronies who I knew to exist. Curious as to what all the hubbub was about, I YouTube binged on them until I was caught up with the series. I was actually a bit in denial about it, thinking that it was good but not great. But yesterday, the 15th, I caught the newest episode on YouTube and was surprised to find myself giddy about it. I was probably hooked long before then when I first started watching them but that was the day that I actually admitted it to myself. -
5 posts until I can RP?! Why don'tcha just slap a pair of hoofcuffs on me and throw me in the dungeons? Or exile me far far away? Or slap some hoofcuffs on me and throw in a dungeon far far away wherever you exile me to? ... Perhaps that's a bit melodramatic. And not entirely original either, although to be fair it was on the fly and that particular line of dialogue came to mind. So it would appear that this is the type of place that likes an introductory post. Personally I find them a bit silly as they don't seem to do much except say that you've joined. Doesn't really give much to reply to, in my opinion. And seeing as I'm just a lowly blank flank, I doubt this will garner many comments. Why, I doubt I'll even get five replies in this vast domain of MLP fans. Oh well, such is life. I suppose I'll go out and mingle with the crowd now. I'm sure there are plenty of places that are asking for opinions. All I have to do is let my fingers do the walking and I'll find some poll that I can answer. And then I can get to my true passion: role playing. I swear, the stuff is like ambrosia to me. Fare the well, all the two ponies who might chance upon this introduction.
