Final recital exam in a couple of hours! I'll try to record it and put it online

Unrequited. This is amazing, just like he says it. Both in the informational as the emotional way.

Shawns?

A preview of a song I'm working on. It's a vocal rendition of the chorus in one of my previous songs. The jazz offense.
While I'm not a singer, I do think this sounds pretty swell
Also, hi I'm back again and I'll be roleplaying again soon!

Not bad! Love the harmony on that barbershop quartet, but...huh...the harmony sounds like it's the kind of harmony that's about to build up to something else that's about to come, like it's trying to be squeezed forward into a larger and more open harmony, like going through a bottleneck...if that's making any sense.
For context, I was talking about the Soundcloud clip that I could see here, that was about 20-30 seconds long.

Yes I did, and I've been going at it for about 6 weeks now. Its intense, I'm studying about 8 hours a day, but It's super fun!
@ Tom
Those are some very interesting ideas. I really like how you always comment on my music. I've never really told you how much I appreciate that, or even really replied to your comments. Very sincerely, thank you for your feedback, it is honestly very helpful. I might put that "Nights were made f...

hey guys. I'm not dead, just making music: Listen to Opposites attract by Scribblegroove #np on #SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/scribblegroove/opposites-attract

At first, I wasn't sure what meter this song would be in---5/4? 3/4? In the end, it seemed like 4/4 time, and it was an excellent piece! I love how the deep melody fades in and out and trades places with the higher-pitched pulsing background from time to time; I can see why you named it Opposites Attract!
Listening to this, I'm thinking---imagine Lindsey Sterling mixing in some violin to this! It seems like a very remixable piece; it's great as-is, but i...

to justify my absence lately: I've been working on my composition which I preformed tonight as part of a competition. I won and am now in the finals with 12 of the best young composers in my country. This is the piece we played (it's an old version though, the newer will be up soon) https://m.soundcloud.com/scribblegroove/going-home-without-vocals/s-zbtbW I don't know how many of you care but I really felt like sharing this. I hope it will make some of you happy

Update to my latest song, I'm really excited about this one! https://soundcloud.com/scribblegroove/try-to-keep-up

I could tell I'd love it within the first five seconds! And I did.
I noticed some sort-of empty spaces, if you know what I mean, around the 1:18 mark or so---measures that had some echo to them in their first repetition around the 1:08 mark and then no echo two or four measures later, but that might've been both intentional and a good thing.
The instrumentation of the piece overall seems to have changed, for the better (either the instrumentation or the rela...

Nice!
If I may offer some constructive criticism: maybe the melody should have a slightly different instrument at about the 2:08 mark? I can tell with the bass parts at that stage of the song that it's trying to be more formidable, and it is (especially around the 2:38 mark or so), but would a resonant church organ be the right way to go there? ...Or is that exactly what instrument is there?

Inspired by one of otty's random experiments, I made a song. It's not much, but I like the piano riff https://soundcloud.com/scribblegroove/gift-for-otty

I'm so very sorry to everyone waiting for me to post in Roleplays. I've always been rather unreliable when it comes to that, but lately I've been extremely busy. Right now I'm travelling to Italy. In about 12 days I'll be able to post again.

A pop artist plays 3 chords to 10 000 people, whilst a jazz player plays 10 000 chords to 3 people ;( Such is life I guess

To anyone waiting for me on anything, having the final tests of this year next week. I don't have a lot of time for anything :c
