  1. Storm Cloud found herself following her family through a frozen desert. They were surrounded by ice for as far the eye could see, a snow storm ad risen and they were trying slowly walking to find a place for the night. A series of cracking noises made the group stop and panic. The leader, her father, ordered the group to stop moving and slowly move on. Before he could finish his sentence the ice beneath them broke and all of them fell into the dark abyss. Storm woke up, her breath was ragged. She slowly became aware that it had all been a nightmare and that anything of it had never happened. She noticed that the group had left for hunting and that only she was left at the cottage RedStorm lived in. She considered it would be best she took care of keeping the fire and making some preparations for lunch for when the moment the rest would arrive.
  2. ((I got some serious overbooking here)) ((I don't know how you look as a pony)) Storm noticed a strange stallion next to Deadeye's ship, she wasn't a 100% positive but his behavior was highly suspicious, he had spent several minutes watching the combat between the three ponies without even taking his eyes off Deadeye. Whatever Deadeye was into, this pony would probably know more. After the battle had ended and all of the ponies where dispersing she decided to tail and interrogate the unknown pony. But she encountered a problem, the gray stallion was still looking for her. She had no time to handle that stallion, so with a swift motion of her right foreleg she readied her hidden blade for attack. As soon as he was close he enough she would just kill him and hide him were she had been hiding. Storm's plan changed instantly as the stallion finished speaking. She closed her eyes and meditated for a few seconds, clearing her mind and planning her steps carefully. With another short movement she caused the blade to sheathe itself. She shot out of her hiding spot. Facing the other pony, and playing a perfect role. "Oh my god! it was my first day, I'm so sorry. Please, I did everything I should, I'm so sorry! Please don't beat me" she took several steps backwards and then started a sprint away. He primary objective was still the stranger and as soon as she was far enough away from the grey stallion she locked on the colt and watched his moves. She was hiding behind a corner when she saw Deadeye coming out of the ship, she expected the stranger to make a move. So, let's see what your intentions really are
  3. (@Durandal: That awesome post.) Storm Cloud's expression was extremely similar to the one children make when plates fall out of their hands. Cringing just by hearing the words in the distance, You fool! How could someone possibly think I'm fixing ships! She then considered, Well, working on the bottom-side of one may have given away that image. She hoped that the fact she was hiding under the ship would be secondary to the two fighting colts and that they would solve their problems soon enough to stop wasting her time. She then decided to hide further and climbed up the fixture supporting the wheel she was hiding behind to the frame of the ship. Once she sat inside of the body of the ship she was sure that the darkness inside would hide her well enough to watch without being detected a second time.

  5. (Hi Durandal! to me it seems there is no inconsistency, I was never on the ship, but under it. MC and RS are still on the ship, and RS was on his way out while I'm watching from afar and MC stopped him. To me it seems perfectly consistent and alright. BTW, you write great, looking forward to this) Storm kept an eye on the two ponies that were having an argument. Why doesn't this donkey just run away screaming? I don't think Deadeye would follow him and drawing attention but she had no intention of getting in the middle of their argument. She had been keeping an eye on the ship to get information, she was curious about whatever Deadeye was planning but didn't care the slightest about the mechanic's faith. Storm's eyes suddenly locked onto a pair of eyes looking at her. A gray colt approached the ship and all that she could think was What are you doing! You bastard! Buck off!. As her mental threats didn't work she just sighed, "Damn". Knowing he had caught sight of her, and that the longest ranged weapon she had brought was a 4 inch long hidden blade she considered that all she could do was to avoid the pony's looks. The sound of the skull hitting the floor and bursting under Deadeye's hoof was her cue to hide behind the massive wheel of another ship parked nearby.
  6. [i edited my previous post, sorry about the trouble guys] During her escape Storm noticed a ship, a really familiar ship. Boarding were a grey stallion she would have recognized among a million ponies and a Orange colt she could not identify. The orange colt didn't seem to happy about whatever they were doing, on his flank he had a wrench He must be a mechanic In order to receive the biggest possible amount of information about her current client she pulled out a screwdriver and approached the ship, she started looking for a plate on the lower side of the ship which read "Service only", she removed several screws and connected a cable to her laptop. She started a software to retrieve and monitor the status of the ship. Every few seconds the numbers on the screen were refreshed. He should really have his ship checked from time to time, she was no expert mechanic but even she noticed the readings were awful. To her surprise the numbers didn't improve over time, but got only worse. She was sure the ship wouldn't even lift itself off the ground with those settings. He can't be serious about this, even the self check when booting it would horribly fail As the stallion started to leave the ship she disconnected the laptop, put the screws back in place, covered her head again with her hoodie and left the spot under the ship to mix in with the crowd and silently follow the orange earth pony.
  7. "I'll wait." she said while moving a hoof to her ear to end the connection. As soon as the courier came to pick up the redirected delivery she continued walking the streets. Since Luna was in the city there was an annoying amount of guards roaming the streets. She had to cover herself way better, her hoodie covering her face so nobody could recognize her. But there were also perks to her stay in the city, the groups of tourists who weren't watching after their belongings was huge. After twenty minutes and almost 4000 bits she heard a scream. One of the tourists had noticed his missing money and started yelling into the crowd. It felt like Storm's cue to disappear and let the situation cool down. She carefully made her way through the crowd avoiding raising too much attention.
  8. She listened to the pony on the other end of the line while she gave the paper of her joint a lick and pasted it, admiring her work. "Well, Deadeye... I was planning to retire, maybe have some kids and a house outside the city and swedish ship, you know? ..." - she then burst out laughing - "If I ever say something like that, shoot me. Well, do you even have access to the files you want to have decrypted?"- she then lighted her joint and took a puff - "Otherwise you will need to also break in there and get them, or make those bastards bring them out"
  9. Storm had reached her destination. The couriers were early, and were already heading over to knock on the door. She stopped them by calling "Hey! Is that my package?". The stallion who had already unloaded the cargo from his ship asked "Miss Mayflower?" - "Yeah, that's me" was the lie he got in response. She thanked the stallion and gave him a tip. She unpacked her laptop and entered the id numbers printed on the box to order a new courier who would bring the weapons in the crate to her client. She had nothing to do but wait, so she put her laptop on the big wooden box and sat on it herself. To pass some time she summoned some small plastic bags from her pack containing filters, paper, tobacco and grass. After just seconds she was interrupted by a message on her laptop and a ringing noise in the ear-piece she wore to call clients. The name on screen had her wondering, Why would he call after so long? Maybe it's a trap!. She decided to reach for a button on the headset that would accept the connection. She let a few seconds of silence pass after opening the connection, mainly because she was distracted by the joint she was rolling. "What do you want?" she said with a characteristic aggressive tone. [Disclaimer: Storm is always unfriendly. That doesn't mean I hate you, it's IC]
  10. Storm could feel the tingling sensation of her body reacting to the warmth of the fire, making her more and more sleepy. She kept herself awake for a while until she decided it would probably not be worth it to force herself to stay awake. She unfurled some blankets which had been stored inside her saddlebags, using the bag as pillow. She noticed she had been silent for a while - "Good night guys!" - and fell asleep quickly.
  11. "Well, I actually am a bit too young to remember the world before this. My dad died during the war, before I even was born. So I don't know what I should count to keep myself sane..." The place soon was pretty crowded and Storm couldn't but notice "Well, seems I got here right in the right moment!" and found herself a spot next to the fire where she could silently rest for a few minutes.
  12. "Well, I don't know. We were marching towards Manehattan and Stalliongrad, we heard stories about them having scientists who were exploring the possibility of making this world back to normal. I know it's not much but at least it's some form of hope" she answered. "I never believed in those fairytales, but I got hope the rest of my group is heading there and that I'll find them" - her eyes were wet from the thought of her missing family. Se noticed someone at the door - "Hey, what are you doing there?"
  13. Storm was happy to have found someone who had shown a tad of hospitality and followed him without second thoughts into the cottage he seemed to call home. Her surprise at the sudden turn of events was big, finding herself staring into the barrel of a gun made her nervous. No, no, no, no, no! This can't have possibly gone so wrong! she then considered it was best to not move and to answer the stranger's questions. "My name's Storm Cloud, I come from Las pegasus. I lost the group I was wandering with and have been looking for supplies since then".
  14. "I didn't mean to scare you sir!" - Storm answered biting down an impulse to sheathe the gun and assist the stranger. "I will lower the gun now.." she continued while separating the gun a few inches. "I just need some bread and gasoline, and some shelter for a night" she answered, noticing that her hoof was shaking from the bitter coldness and sleep deprivation she had been suffering for several days now. "Do you live here on your own?"
  15. Storm had been roaming the wasteland for days. Since the last place she had been to had run out of food she was forced to continue looking for more. She was very low on supplies, all there was left in her saddlebags was her tent, half a loaf of bread, matches and a small bottle with gasoline. She wouldn't survive another day in the wild with this. Soon the sound of her steps in the snow was accompanied by the sound of someone using an axe in the distance. She perked her ears to better detect where the sounds where coming from and silently trotted in the direction of the noise. After just a few minutes she could see the source of the sounds. A red pony, which happened to be talking to himself was cutting lumber. He does look nourished, he must have food! she picked her pistol and loaded it. She wasn't the kind of pony to shoot others, but not all of them were willing to share supplies. She slowly approached the stallion from behind and set her gun to prop his neck, the sound of clicking metal as the pieces of the gun readjusted by the light pressure was Storm's cue. "I.." - after so long silence her own voice sounded weird to her - "I need supplies..." As soon as she noticed that her request sounded a bit too inviting for others to fight back she added nervously "And I'm the one with the gun here"
  16. Storm had been unable to get any rest from her additional sleep, she stood up and decided that a short shower would be best for her. She slowly dragged herself to the bathroom and opened the faucet, causing thousands of small water pearls to run down her coat. After she had dried herself up she packed a saddlebag with a laptop and a pouch with bits. She run her mental checklist. A hoodie, her saddlebag and a check to see if there was any suspicious looking pony on the outside of her house. She exited and closed the door after her, melting into the mass of ponies walking the street. Her job for today was easy as cake, she had redirected a cargo the coalition was sending so it would be received on a random address in the city. But first things first, she was low on pills and needed more. After walking ten minutes on the main street she turned into a small alley and after a few more turns she reached a pony who seemed to be waiting for someone. "Need my stuff" - she said to the pony while checking she hadn't be followed. "Your last one was just a week ago" the dealer answered - "Yeah, whatever, had a terrible week. Do I have to beg you to sell that stuff or what?" - "Here, normal price" After the exchange was complete and her bags were holding two orange plastic containers filled with pills she headed back to the main street to get the job done.
  17. A ray of sun light worked itself through the dust right on to Storm Cloud's face. Disturbed by the warmth this was causing on her face, the yellow pegasus slowly woke up. Her senses coming to live, the buzzing of electronic ventilators slowly taking a prominent spot on her mind. She lifted her head of the desk where she had fallen asleep, it was covered with electronics, empty bottles and spilled pills. Several monitors, attached to the wall behind the desk where displaying white messages on a black background. "Kernel panic. Press any key to reboot..." was the last message on all of them. The noise of ventilators became louder and louder in her head. Storm somehow wasn't surprised that her headache would make her want silence the unnerving buzzing, I should stop drinking this stuff. She pressed a switch under the desk, immediately turning off the two PCs under it and all of the monitors connected to them. "Ahh! much better" she said while picking up several of the white pills scattered on her table and one of the bottles which held a rest of a clear liquid. She first swallowed both of the pills and then spilled them down with some of the Vodka she had found. She hated the taste of alcoholic drinks, but they helped forgetting something she hated even more. The voice of a pony on a radio on the other end of the room caught Storm's attention. He was talking about the visit of Luna to Canterlot. If she knew I'm just a ten minute drive away from her... - she ended her thought with a set of filly-unfriendly expressions. Hearing about Luna had made some old memories come back, she turned of the receiver with unnecessary force and headed to her unmade bed to rest a little more. The painkillers soon had the expected effect making her doze off into slumber.
  18. I got two Macs and a Linux box (and one Windows for gaming and crashing). Happy with my life XD Kubuntu is my personal Linux favorite and windows 8 has been nothing but blue green screens of death.
  19. Where is the pinkie from Cupcakes or the Fluttershy with the shed when you need some Princess Twilight Wings cut off? This actually sounds kinda terrible, but I really hate winged twilight. She just looks awful.
  20. Storm Cloud was dazzled, for some reason she didn't expect a Pegasus to teleport. But was happy that she had avoid running into trouble because of unauthorized ponies roaming the forest and took off to continue scanning the sky for more ponies lost in the forest and to check the storm was being executed as planned.
  21. "My name's Storm Cloud, but that doesn't matter right now." she said looking at the darkening sky. "You shouldn't be here and I'll get into trouble if you don't leave the forest right now" - Storm approached the stranger - "let me get you out of here" she said, pointing a hoof in the direction of the closest exit of the forest.
  22. Am I the only one who read "Bang with your friends @ bronycon" on the front page banner?
  23. Storm Cloud heard a loud scream beyond her. After looking down she noticed a very weird pegasus down on the ground. She decided to check after them. "Hey!" she called out "You shouldn't be here right now, during scheduled storm it is not allowed to wander the forest!" She observed that the pegasus was absolutely not a normal one. After all, it was the first one ever with fangs and red eyes. "Hey! Are you OK? Do you need help?"
