  1. Apparently, the Flash is fast enough to run around the world and hit himself in the back. And also fast enough to individually pick up 532,000 humans and move them 35 miles away in .00001 microseconds
  2. Not to mention that the speed I got from Superman was in his post-crisis state. I'm not an expert on comics, but from what I know, there was an incident in the DC universe that caused Superman to become much weaker. Pre crisis Superman could apparently actually reach light speed travel So, with all this new information, all the characters in order of speeds: Sonic without transformation: 2,304 MPH Rainbow Dash during Sonic Rainboom: 7,860 MPH Superman running (post crisis): 30,000 MPH Superman running (pre crisis): 60,000 MPH Superman flying in atmosphere (post crisis): 60,000 MPH Superman flying in atmosphere (pre crisis): 120,000 MPH Superman flying in space (post crisis): 335,308,314 Superman flying in space (pre crisis): 670,616,629 MPH (the speed of light) Super Sonic: 670,616,629 MPH (the speed of light) The Flash: 1,341,233,258 MPH (double the speed of light)
  3. I also totally miscalculated for Sonic during his transformations. I assumed that his speed would just double for every transformation, but I'm actually getting two different sources saying he's much faster. The Sonic wiki says that he can reach the speed of light during Super Sonic, which is 670,616,629 MPH. However, the Death Battle video says that his speed is increased a thousand fold, which would equal to only 2,304,000 I have no idea how fast Hyper Sonic is, since Death Battle doesn't mention it and the wiki doesn't say how faster he is in comparison to Super Sonic
  4. Well, I think it's more fun to imagine that a sonic rainboom just has different requirements than a regular sonic boom
  5. I totally screwed up on Dash's speed. In the physics presentation video, I misheard "meters per second" as "miles per second" But then again, Dash's speed is very confusing. According to everyone, she moves at mach 10 during the sonic rainbom. But a sonic boom happens only when something hits mach 1. So because of the fact that you can actually see a mach cone around Dash (what happens after hitting mach 1) before she even does the sonic rainboom, I guess it's fair to assume that the sonic rainboom is totally different in terms of requirements for a regular sonic boom, and requires a faster speed than mach 1, despite the fact that it's was stated that a sonic rainboom is a sonic boom and a rainbow. I know I'm WAY overthinking it, but that's the fun of it
  6. Well, I ended up doing some calculations, and this is what I found out. This is admittedly based on lots of assumptions and possibly questionable internet research. Not to mention I also am not very good at math, so it's completely possible that this is all totally wrong and I'm way off Sonic (without transformations): 2,301 MPH Sonic (with transformations): 9,203 MPH The Flash: 2,682,466,516 MPH Rainbow Dash (during Sonic Rainboom): 5,886,000 MPH And for fun, I also added Superman into the mix Superman (flying within the Earth's atmosphere): 60,000 MPH Superman (flying in space): 300,000,000 MPH Superman (running): 30,000 MPH
  7. So we had a really geeky discussion in class today. Who is faster, Sonic the Hedgehog or the Flash (or Rainbow Dash)?
  8. The Doctor watched in disbelief as the pony suddenly started to burst with energy. Did he really just regenerate? Did that PONY really just regenerate? The Doctor saw it, and was still having a hard time believing it. Once the pony spoke however, everything started to explain itself. The headaches, the drumbeat, the regeneration, it all suddenly made sense. The Doctor looked back towards the newly regenerated pony, trying to keep his cool. "Well...that's new"
  9. The Doctor sighed. "I transfered a small portion of my regenerative energy to you. You're lucky I just regenerated recently, the energy was at it's maximum and so I didn't need to use a whole lot to heal you. Don't expect me to do it all the time, you understand?" OOC: Yes, that's a rule I just made up
  10. The Doctor hesitated for a second when Star Keeper mentioned 'drumming'. Could it really be...? No, that's not possible. He shrugged off the thought and looked back down at Star Keeper. "Don't worry. I'm the Doctor, and I'm here to keep you safe" He reassured him
  11. "Bigger on the inside, yes yes, not important now, shut up" The Doctor replied as he slowly dragged him across the pathway to the console and placed him next to it. "You're clearly ill, and I need to know what I can do to help. Why did you faint out there?" Asked the Doctor
  12. The Doctor frowned at Star Keeper's insult. "Hey! I'm the Doctor, and I care immensely! If you..." The Doctor started to say, but soon stopped himself as he watched Star Keeper collapse on the ground. "...Hm" The Doctor responded, quite surprised by the pony's sudden loss of consciousness. The Doctor sighed and figured he should probably get Star Keeper into the TARDIS and help him as best he could. Slowly but surely, he managed to drag the pony into the TARDIS by pulling his scarf with his mouth
  13. As the Doctor continued to giggle excitedly at his new equine form, he quickly overheard the groans of pain from Star Keeper. He instantly stepped over towards the pony to help him. "What's wrong? Are you sick? What can I do to help?" He asked, wanting to make sure this pony was safe
  14. Once again, the pony did not even seem to notice Star Keeper's words. His eyes opened wide, and a big dopey smile grew on his face. He let out a loud, excited laugh and gestured to his hoof. "It's a hoof! I have a hoof! That is just brilliant!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. He immediately ducked his head down to expect his legs, finding three other hooves as well. "Look at that! Four of 'em! And...is that a tail? It is! Brilliant, just brilliant!" the pony continued to shout excitedly
  15. The pony didn't seem to even acknowledge Star Keeper's questions and continued to just stare off into space. He finally snapped out of it a few seconds later, and turned to Star Keeper. "Oh, of course. Where ARE my manners? I'm the Doct..." The pony's words trailed off as he looked down and started staring at his own hoof that he had extended outwards, as if he did not expect to see it there. "Is...is that a hoof?!" Shouted the pony in complete surprise
  16. The smoke slowly started to reveal the appearance of the pony as it faded away. Chestnut coat and a slicked back mane with a hourglass cutie mark, and wearing a bowtie and tweed jacket that seemed way too big for him, or anypony for that matter. The pony quickly turned his head towards the other at the sound of his voice. "Hmm? Oh yes, I suppose that's to be expected, after..." The pony quickly stopped himself mid sentence and made a distant and confused stare, as if he was deep in thought. He did a series of short jumps. "I feel...shorter"
  17. The sound of rumbling and shuffling suddenly came from inside the box. A quiet, metallic hiss came right afterwards from the doors, and it was increasingly clear that there was something inside the box, and it seemed to be trying to get out. Suddenly, the doors swung open violently, releasing a massive cloud of smoke from inside the box. Inside the cloud, there was what appeared to be the silhouette of a pony stumbling it's way out of the doorway
  18. In a dark, small alleyway of Ponyville, a whirlwind started to kick up. Following the wind was a peculiar mechanical groaning sound, which grew louder and louder as seconds passed. At the same time, what appeared to be some sort of strange, blue box started to slowly fade into existence
  19. Hey wait a minute, wasn't the Headless Horse mentioned in that ghost story Twilight told to Applejack and Rarity in Look Before You Sleep?
  20. Today's episode is probably one of my favorite episodes of the show
  21. I think Luna going into other ponies dreams is a little...weird. But then again, if she didn't, we wouldn't have had that great scene with her and Scootaloo so I dunno Really? I think she was actually nicer than she has been, especially compared to season 2
  22. A poast I've made about the Doctor's Mary Sue-ish nature before:
  23. I will point out that the Doctor is a little bit Mary Sue-ish, at least in terms of his abilities. The writers of DW like to make up abilities for him as the plot demands, or give him some kind of gadget that can help him defeat a foe or something. Not to mention his intelligence gets a bit exaggerated at times (though it's justified, considering he's been traveling all of time and space for over 900 years). However, this is all based around what the writers want him to do. If you don't want him to be a Mary Sue, he doesn't have to be. And I can probably think of a reason why he won't have his TARDIS, which will significantly lower his abilities
