    Would you accept immortality were it offered to you? I'd have to say I wouldn't.

      While a fair point, I would hate to have to watch those I care about dying around me knowing that I would never join them naturally.

      You could try not getting too attached to particular people, but that would get rather lonely...

      Yes, I agree. I'm somewhat of a loner but the friends I have are very close to me and it would hurt so much to lose them knowing that I could only join them through death by fatal wounds or offing myself.

    Personal experience is another factor to take into consideration. I have few friends myself, although those I have I am very close to. However, I am young, and have time to adjust my life and mold it into what I want it to become. If a person lives a life they feel has not met its potential, the idea of a sort of "second chance" with immortality is a very appealing idea. I must admit though, that the child factor brings in yet another question: with immortality, could you bear to watch your children grow up, grow old, and eventually die? It is hard enough when a child's parent dies, but it is said that the pain is much worse for a parent whose child died before them. It is my personal opinion that I believe that the cons of immortality greatly outweigh the pros, thus my final answer to them would have to be a solid "no."

    I would have to say no to them. While immortality is a romanticized theory, one must realize the consequential attachments. Specifically I think that it would be saddening to watch your friends grow old while you stay young, and watch them die beside you. Of course you would likely make new friends as well, but none would really be the same as the original friends you had spent your whole mortal life with. I'd rather grow old with my lifelong friends than watch those that I care about constantly dying around me.

    Me too! I'm still working on my ponysona, she's a small unicorn with long brown hair and I'm thinking a teal coloured coat. I have yet to decide on her cutie mark.

    My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: Internet How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: It was an accident. I was bored with nothing else on and after like 2 episodes I realized I actually liked the show. So. Um. Hi. My username is KilljoyWannabe, it doesn't relate to mlp. It has to do with a band known as My Chemical Romance. Anyways, I've made only a few OCs so far. My ponysona and two- no three- others are works in progress. I have one finished (except the backstory) and one other who needs to be coloured and given a backstory. I'm also working on his cutie mark. Any ideas for a pony whose talent is woodworking? So, ah, nice to meet you? I guess? Bye...
