A shake rocked the tower and guards were scrambling. Of all days to do this, I could have waited until Rave did his bombings. He did tell me after all like a week prior before the battle. Despite arguing at first, I was the only qualified medical personnel present and no one could argue I wasn't needed. I could see death threats in their eyes but they had no choice but to trust me. I reluctantly set up a mini clinic on the higher floors operating where I could and easing the passing of death for other ponies that were beyond help. Some guards even genuinely thanked me. "You don't have to care you know. I thought the wasteland purged you of these weak, pitiful feelings for others," said a inner voice. Fighting my urge to kill them was the strangest thing I had ever done. "Soon you'll be boring again if you keep this up! Leave, go back to Rave and destroy this pitiful place!" *Two hours later* "You can still kill them Jack, It is who you are. Remember what I taught you. REMEMBER!" I flinched at this new voice in my head, one of the guards walked over to me, the same one who gave me grief over not having any more contraband. "You ok jack?", he asked concerned. "Yeah, I am...fine", I said suddenly anxious. "If you need anything, just ask. You did a good deed helping us out earlier. Let me know if any problems arise ok?", he said reassuringly. "I just need to go for a walk.", I said and left the tower.

Once the door shut, I relaxed a little, It wasn't that bad, It was better than sleeping outside, but still. If i could just kill one guard, I would manage better. I thought of Rave, at least he was in a better place right? I'm only here for the night i reasoned, might as well enjoy the spa while i can.

*Couple hours later* "Look you have frisked me twice already, If I had something, you would have found it," I said annoyed. "All we have is your gun, knife, and medical gear. I am SURE you have other things", said a guard briskly. "Do I look like a feral ghoul to you? I have nothing else, now let me be." Oh why did I even think of this? I should trick him into killing himself but i won't for Elegron's sake. "When will he arrive?" I asked. "Soon, so sit and shut up", said another guard. "Fine..."

"I can head to Tenpony Tower. I hear that is where you like to go on occasion. We can discuss later when we meet." With that I took a little detour, and left my other belongings in a cave. It's amazing what you can put away and find later. I packed the essentials and left for the tower. "It is almost like a vacation right? Maybe, maybe not?" With nothing really else to do. I just went my own way.

Drinking is not that bad. I have the occasional social drink but like habitually no.

"So the world is a cruel place, It always will be. I am going against myself partially just talking to you. I am trying to use my reasonable self for once, I'll even try that vegan food you gave me. Let me judge for myself what's wrong with the world, and let's share ideologies. I'm sure we can be great friends if you let me. So please? Come on, If Discord can be reformed, why can't I?"

"Honestly, good and evil are subjective, I could have said your evil for trying to stop me earlier. Atleast try to make sense, anywho my point is this, I almost hate to say, but can you try to help me? Show me "your" views and maybe I can see what you see. I want to know what drives you because in all my experience, no one has ever be so determined as you to bring peace to this place of ruin. You were the first to make me doubt my own habits, for that I am curious. No promises of course."

Hearing this, he sat on a rock, and replied, "The wasteland is more dangerous than you realize, It is as addictive as any drug. It doesn't mean that everyone is beyond reach, only that they only believe they are. You actually helped me by allowing me to kill you."

He would have to make peace at some point, personally he liked Elegron. His style and attitude toward life intrigued him. Finally, he got the curiousness to just make the call. Opening his radio, he said "Elegron, I realize we have a history of antagonism but I don't want this to define our relationship. Give me a call yes?" With that, he made his way toward whatever direction he was heading.

Just to clarify, can we like radio other characters if we need to or is it like I have to know their frequency first? (For example, Jack to Rave/Elegron) aren't I long gone by the time elegron wakes up

As soon as Elegron fell dead, he laughed with glee! "He is gone, gone, gone! The cyborg was still inactive and the Heroes body lie dead. Celebration was in order. He climbed out the hole and reclaiming his senses of the surroundings. The pip buck glowed a nice blue but he gave it no thought. No pony should survive something like that. Besides, he saw the destroyed base and simply turned the other way. No going back now. He only hoped for Rave's sake that he was safe. He would truly miss if Rave disappeared from the world. One tiny part of him missed that human connection he forsake all these years.

"Well, this turned out great!" I walked toward elegron and pulled out my pistol, Standing inches away from the impaled pony, I took a shot point blank at elegron's head. "Finally, the cyborg pony didn't last long but he did just enough for me to finish the job.

"Trapped here with you two eh? Nice to meet you, my name is Jack. [speech/Medicine] Do me a favor and kill this stable dweller." Seeing as how at least one pony would die in this confrontation, he only watched amused. His own life was forfeit anyway, you could only decide where and when. "I can help you, you have some very serious medical issues I may be able to aid you in your treatment.

I knew it only was a matter of time before people found about the cave, The ceiling section collapsed in one area crushing my leg, but otherwise left me unscathed. Pulling out from the rubble, a couple of the other slavers were injured, and a few were killed. For my own longevity, I passed out stimpacks among the remaining slavers and myself. I guess the only option was to see if this tunnel lead anywhere else. The entrance was fortunately barricaded and the radio set survived somehow with only a few dents. gathering my items, I prepared make a trek underground. It only a matter of time before Elegron would lower his guard, and I would be there to seal his fate once and for all.

"Come, my friend, we can watch the destruction from the view here," trying to get Rave's attention. "This cave is deep enough that no one will suspect we survived the blast. Those pesky Irons will wish they never attacked you at all", I said with a hint revenge in my voice. "If you feel for it though, do take care of that unicorn and pegasus, they have been in our way for far too long." Then with a awkwardness, "At some point, could you train me in marksmanship? I could still help you yet in exchange."

Dust and rock flew as the bullet came close yet again to hitting it's mark. Seconds after, a flaming Vertibird suddenly crash-landed a few feet from my location, "Damn, If it's not the locals, it's always something nearly ending my life." Taking advantage of the situation, I hustled to the cave and, kept my gun and knife handy. let him come, this time it's on my terms waiting in ambush until Rave or Elegron arrived. I took note of the anti-personnel mines buried in the area just for something like this. Hopefully they will be of some help. Atleast, I can give Rave some warning, I only need to await his response.

He heard, faint sounds of a struggle and took another go at it. Crawling along the ground for cover using the dust to hide his movements, he attempted to make for his earlier home a couple nights ago. He had a decent camouflage set up along with other supplies like preserved food and tools. Far away, it looked like another bush, but someone with above average perception could see through it if they came close enough. Letting his smoke bombs meld with the dust from the air, he crawled forward.

The sound of gunfire immediately made him duck shooting the nearby tree nearly having it collapse on him, "Elegron, we meet again? You have to relax friend, I feel like whenever we meet you shoot me, Can we ever be nice for once?" Ducking behind a nearby boulder to stay out of sight.

Screams, explosions, gunfire of all sorts could be heard up above. Wandering through the under of his fortress, he stumbled across Rave's bomb and the dead assistant. "My, My, My, Rave what are YOU planning?" [science] Attaching his latest plague to the bomb. "This should spread and contaminate food for miles, anyone who ingests this will surely perish." Finishing his work, he left out the back door once more to find sanctuary from the impending blast that would soon ensue most of the wasteland not that it already was ruined. "Like the icing on the cake," he said laughing. He wandered out the back door looking for a good deep cave to find shelter in. He radioed Rave, "Do feel free to join me friend, here are my coordinates. Oh and careful of what you eat yes? I added a little spice to your surprise dinner."

The alone time was good for him. He would deal with Elegron later. He began to wander again, killing aimlessly anyone slaver, merchant, or unsuspecting traveler just to spend his time when he was otherwise idle, all of a sudden he heard the deafening sounds of explosions at Rave's base. He hoped it wasn't too late going through the back entrance of the fortress to assess the damage for himself.

Watching the pony from a distance, I watched her make camp and snuck a note: "Sorry about my secret nature, I have my own security to protect. I will update up you as soon as i get more information from my own contacts. Stay alert and stay alive. X." With that I headed back to the slaver fortress to finalize the plague for its final delivery. In the mean time, snagged me another zebra pelt for Rave's collection. Dinner that night, "Wow zebra, you think i should get what? Another zebra? I like your style." Talking to myself again. I wonder how Rave's scout is on finding the city, I'll just check in with Rave later. I found a cave to sleep in that night after making sure i wouldn't be another meal for a rad scorpion.

Entering ponyville, I wore a cloak to disguise myself. I noticed a pegasus in the air an called her to me. The ruins and death provided an eerie embrace to those of the night. "Your a new pony right? no one knows you too well i imagine? I need someone new to procure some information for me. Your ability to fly makes you quite useful for gathering intelligence yes? A pony named Elegron has commissioned the building of a new city. I have my own agents getting intel, but i need someone new, someone on the inside they can trust. Learn about them, how they operate and hell, even what size shoe they wear." A brief silence ensued. "I can pay well for each bit of information you acquire. You can call me "X" for short, my name is not important now." I pulled a hefty bag of bits out of my satchel. "You'll get more when I get something useful. This is my frequency, use it to contact me but only when you are ready. Remember, I know nothing about you or you me. Now begone!" With that, I disappeared into the ruin.

His main tasks done, he left a communication device in Rave's tent along with a note, "Headed to Ponyville, personal business. Left my radio in your tent. Contact me as you see fit. With that, he left and made his way with his work in his saddle bags. He needed to find somepony willing to do a small job for him.

Jack needs help, i may use your character for some spying, then you could branch off and do your own thing? it would be a small job. nothing more cipher.
