Ashen Pathfinder

Well, there are a few things: 1. The comics. I mean seriously the main series is AWESOME and the Forever Friends series is great too! 2. The upcoming Daring Do books. 3. Already the Journal of the Two Sisters, but there is plenty of rereading to be done. 4. Various fan-works. 5. My own imagination!

Well, this is how the Journal states it, and I will leave it as a spoiler tag: First from Celestia's first entry: Then from Luna's first entry: A few observation: 1. Going by both entries, it seems to me that they may have heard of Star Swirl, but were never familiar with him before their coronation. 2. Luna seems to indicate that Star Swirl could learn something from the sisters, so that could fit well with Celestia's lesson of friendship.

Well, that's hard to say. If we go by the Season 4 opener, then we see the sisters are in power during Discord's reign, but again we don't know how long said reign was. It could've been short like Nightmare Moon's attack was, or it could've lasted years. However, with the way the Journal starts no mention is made of Discord. The biggest foe the sisters face is a dragon that stole the Crystal Heart, and that was pretty close to the end of the sister's section of the journal; which leads me to believe it was all before Discord started his reign of terror chaos.

I would LOVE for there to be a crossover with the Spyro universe. Granted, while I would like all three Spyro continuities to be featured, the classic games would probably fit more with the tone of FiM... ...but then again, Legend wouldn't be too far off.

Not to mention that if we go by the Journal, then Starswirl (along with a few other unicorns) were already rising & lowering the sun before the sisters even came to rule. An official timeline would be nice, but I doubt we would get one.

Luna would be afraid of the dark. Trixie would be Fluttershy 2.0. Sombra would be a janitor working at the Canterlot gardens. Chrysalis would be working with Red Cross.

Honestly, "Flight to the Finish" really just made me detest Diamond Tiara and, to a lesser extent, Silver Spoon to a whole new level. I'm sorry, but there's teasing and there's pure bullying. While I do not care for Snips & Snails, at least they are friendly; if a bit stupid here and there. Heck, I even like Snails to an extent. Silver Spoon x Snails? Hehe...

This is actually the first I have heard of this particular head canon, but I have a hard time believing it honestly. Of course it probably depends on how one looks at the canon-status of the comics. Going by the mirror arc of the comic we see that Star Swirl is fully with Celestia during Luna's 'dark' time. Supposedly this wasn't too long before she became Nightmare Moon. Now, from how I look at it, it seems to me that this had occurred sometime after the sisters had imprisoned Discord. I'm not sure if there is anyway to definitely prove this; however. Of course, we never see Starswirl during the events of the Season 4 opener, but that could be by design as it seems like the shows writers prefer to keep him mysterious. In any case, those are my thoughts.

That would be something special, IMO. I spotted a fan-comic where apparently Chrysalis convinces Sombra to join forces to strike revenge against the royal sisters. Gotta say, interesting stuff!

Part of it is her design I think, but like others say, it is likely more to do with the fact that she seems to have potential for redemption. As we saw in "Twilight Time" the two didn't always see eye-to-eye. MAYBE there is something there.

Just spotted this on EQD. Seems the Sombra/Chrysalis pairing is ALIVE AND WELL!!!
