If it's fine now then nothing needs to happen, it may also just be a backlight issue, but I don't know, I've never been able to afford one.

No... It was a blank blue screen (with some black mixing in at the bottom) I didn't describe it well enough.

The only other thing I can say is that the system probably crashed and you have to do a manual restart to factory settings.

Why did my iPod get a BSOD? (Not like Windows, though. I literally thought it killed my iPod.) It went blue, and shut off. When I turned it back on, it turned on with the Apple logo and blue around the edges of the top 3/4 of the screen. The screen was flashing (well, just getting dimmer) for a minute or 2. Why did this happen?
