  1. The best CGI is CGI that's used in addition to visual effects. That way, the audience doesn't get used to only seeing the CGI and knowing that it's fake. Seeing something real strengthens the illusion.

    Good Examples:

    - Jurassic Park used animatronic dinosaurs and puppets in addition to CGI.

    - A lot of people don't know this, but a lot of the T-1000 in Terminator two was a combination of CGI and life sized rubber models.

    - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy had real actors in Orc and Goblin makeup and prosthetics so that the when massive CGed armies showed on screen it was believable.

    Bad Examples:

    - The Hobbit movies do not have any actual actors playing their orcs (Since they are all CGI) and it looks laughably fake.

    - Avatar used absolutely zero visual effects and it is very difficult to be invested in a movie where it's so obvious that nothing is real.

    - The Thing (the prequal made in 2011) made a mockery of the John Carpenter classic by switching out his legendary visual effects tricks, puppets, and models, for an all CGI monster that looked more fake than the one in the 80's.

  2. Sheogorath sat upon his throne with one hand on his chin. With his free hand, he tapped on his knee as if he were impatiently anticipating something. His servant, Haskill, stood near the base of the throne with an open book in his left hand as he flipped through its pages, trying to find something that interested him.

"It's that time of the era again, Haskill. I can feel it in me teeth!" He blurted. He spoke in an exaggerated Scottish accent.

Haskill immediately closed his book and looked up at his lord. "Jyggalog, sir?" He asked in shock. He had learned never to predict anything of his master, but even so, this was truly without any sort of warning.

Sheogorath continued without answering Haskill's question. "Like I said, I can feel it in me teeth; and me teeth are never wrong, even when they are! Especially when they are!"

"What would you have me do, your lordship?" Haskill asked politely.

"I got a new plan to prepare for him this time!" Sheogorath responded, "I need an old priest, a young priest, and six barrels of Scalon milk! No wait, seven barrels! You can never be too careful."

"Scalons don't produce milk, sire," said Haskill.

"I'm sure you'll find a way, Haskill, you always do!" Sheogorath replied confidently, "Now go! Off with you!"

  3. Yu Yu Hakusho:

Roto: Come on! You believe in mercy, right?

    Kurama: No.

Yusuke: You killed my teacher because I was too stupid to protect her! And now you killed my best friend too, and I'm going to have to live with that...

Younger Toguro: Maybe not for long.

Sensui: We'll start digging, each one of us. Seven graves should be a decent start.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (These quotes didn't actually give me chills, they were just too funny not to mention)

Sheogorath: I tried everything I could to stop him! Once I dug a hole and filled it with clouds... or was it clowns? I can't remember. It doesn't matter; didn't slow him down! It began to stink! Must've been clowns! Clouds don't stink. They taste of butter, and tears.

Sheogorath: You've done it! Let's celebrate! Cheese! Cheese for everyone! No, wait, scratch that! No cheese. That would be just as much of a celebration for someone who doesn't like cheese, yes?

Sheogorath: I'm so happy, I could just... RIP OUT YOUR ENTRAILS AND STRANGLE YA WITH 'EM! Ha-ha!

Alright guys, now we just need at least one more member to join this RP before we start! If anyone knows any friends that might be interested, point them in this direction, please! We could settle with just 6 players, but having seven or more would be awesome!

Just fair warning to you and sole, the more the merrier may be true, but word of experience says that the more people there are in an adventure rp such as this, the more chance of something going bad. I kind of think six would be better.

  5.

    (Character changed with permission)

    Name: Lord Sheogorath

Origin: The Elder Scrolls I - V (Biggest appearance in IV: Oblivion)

    Gender: Male

Weapons/Items: Sheogorath's Staff (Causes temporary stasis on weak-willed opponents. Limited uses.), Sheogorath's Regalia (His outfit. Gives him a bonus to persuasion as well as luck.)

    Looks: Sheogorath.png

Abilities: When forced to partake in combat, Sheogorath knows a variety of destruction magic spells that can make him lethal to weaker opponents. (However, due to a Greymarch occurring in the Shivering Isles, he will become gradually weaker as the adventure progresses.)

Personality: Sheogorath fulfills his role as The Prince of Madness by being completely insane himself. He often has violent and unexplained mood swings, speaks in nonsensical rants, and has an irrational hatred for people with beards (Despite having a beard himself).

  6. yes, it's just a normal day for your character. They won't know anything until sorin finds them and explains things. And as cool and interesting as that idea sounds I'm gonna have to say no. You can however use the hero of kavatch or the dragonborn if you want, within reason of course.

Aww, but those characters aren't interesting. I suppose I could play as one of them or Haskil, but if the problem with Sheogorath was being too OP, there are ways to fix that.

If you really don't want him, I'll go with Haskil.

  7. How much do we know when the RP starts out? Do our characters know what's going on, or is it just a normal day before things start up?

Also, this is something I'm sure you'd say no to, but could I play as Sheogorath if I downgraded his powers to near-mortal status? I could easily come up with an explanation as to why he's weaker and isn't in The Shivering Isles.

Crimson smiled. "Good!~" he said cheerfully, before using the hilt of Helios to bonk one of the guards on the head, and kicking the other one in the face, knocking them both out. He then sheathed his sword and smiled at the others. "We can't have them running off and telling the other guards, can we? Now come on, lets get this over with..." he said, continuing down the hall.

With the guards out cold, the only path left for them to take was to enter the ball room where Snowstorm and Rune waited. The room was full of carefully arranged tables and chairs, as well as several security cameras so that Big Shot could watch whatever went on in there.

  9. (Didn't notice anything strange. Gonna go with beat the crap outta them lol :derp: )

Sole paused and looked at the gaurds with guns with disinterest, scratching his head boredly "really? I wanna find the strong guys, not some annoying small fries with guns." He said, before using his speed to flit behind them and karate chopping one of them on the back of the neck "guns are only a threat if the can hit you." He said jokingly

The guard who was struck fell down to the ground and accidentally fired his gun once, hitting nothing. The second guard whipped his pistol around to Sole and fired as many times as he could.

Snowstorm and Rune heard the struggle clearly. They were in the ball room where Big Shot often hosted his parties. The room was on the end of the hallway that the intruders were fighting in and they would have to pass through there in order to proceed.

Crimson used magic to teleport behind one of the guards, slicing his gun in half with Helios and putting the blade to his throat. "Kids? Ha! Technically, I'm older than you are! And guns? Really? If your going to try and kill us, at least use a blade to do it! That's much more honorable than getting gunned down..." he said.

    (Didn't see this post.)

After firing at Sole, the second guard had his gun sliced in half and a blade placed at his throat. "Alright, that's enough!" He said after dropping the gun. "I'm not paid enough to get killed! We'll just stay out of your way!"

The first guard shook his head in agreement, too shocked to speak.

  10. As the three wondered through the halls (Using a map of the interior that I forgot to tell you you had), heard a shout from behind them. Two armed guards with pistols stepped out from an intersecting hallway with their weapons trained on the intruders.

"Game's over, kids. Drop all your weapons and we will shoot you!" One of them said.

(Pay attention to the wording here. :P )

With his sword hoisted on his back, Snowstorm stepped up to the door. "I've had enough of this. I'll finish them," he said.

"Do you honestly think your fate will be any different?" Rune asked with hostility, "Femi, with all of her caution, was not able to face them alone. You and I shall face them together."

"I'm not sharing the glory with you!" Snowstorm replied angrily.

"This isn't about you!" Rune grunted as he towered over Snowstorm. "We must protect our employer."

Big Shot leaned over to Shale and whispered, "Ready a chopper in case they fail. I'm not taking any chances."

"Ever the beacon of integrity, sir," Shale replied sarcastically.

  11. @

Crimson sighed in resignation and calmy bent Helios back into it's original shape, before wordlessly trotting up beside Femi, and swiftly slashing her jugular vain with his sword, attempting to make her death as quick and painless as possible. "It had to be done...consider it a mercy killing...on both her part, and ours..." he said, using his cloak to wipe the blood from his sword.

    ,

"I... Don't need your mercy... Worm." Femi cursed. The rags around her head began to loosen as her body went limp.

Crimson, Mythos, and Sole lost consciousness as soon as she did and they immediately woke up back in the entrance to the mansion. They hadn't moved since they fell asleep and it appeared that almost no time had passed, only a few seconds.

    _________________________________________

Big Shot watched the three as they stood back up, then glanced around the room. Femi had fallen down from her meditating stance and was now sprawled out on the floor.

"What... Just happened?" He asked with a mixture of confusion and fear. "She just dropped dead and the intruders are still coming!"

"It appears that Femi's psychic sleep has backfired." Rune said with disinterest.

Mason chuckled, "And then there were three."

"Why are you so calm!" Big Shot demanded. "Why are all of you so calm!"

  12. Sole froze and groaned "aww, are you serious?! What us it with bad guys and trying to get themselves killed? Seriously!" He complained in annoyance, before sighing "well... Are you sure there's no other way? Killing isn't usually my MO, but if it's to save stone... I'll do it if I have to." He said

"You'll never find her!" Femi said coldly, "Your future is filled with failure, I can see it!" She still couldn't stand, and was now using her words to stall.

Mythos stepped back and looked away. "It's the only option. She won't give up, but... I can't be the one to do it."

"You're running out of time," Femi added.

  13. (Was the clones tactic Naruto inspired? It really reminds me of naruto's use of shadow clones lol)

Sole grinned "nice one! I didn't even notice what you were doing at first, your a tricky one huh?" He said to mythos, giving him a playful punch to the shoulder. "Alright, so now that she's down how do we get out of here. We've still got ass to kick and ponies to save." He said, poking femi "hey, tell us how to get out of here, Or I'll keep poking you!" He demanded

(You should as Equestrian Scholar that question. I'm just controlling Mythos till he comes back.)

"This isn't a joke, Sole. The hardest part is yet to come," said Mythos. "We're in a psychic sleep. If we stay here for too long, we'll die in the real world. I doubt Femi is going to let us out willingly. One of us has to kill her!"
