Boulders eyes went wide and his lips quivered in rebellion as he tried to hold back a smile of amusement at what the Pony in front of him was saying. His composure was almost in tatters from the revelation of what this ponies language was called. One wrong move would send him into a fit of giggles that he just would not be able to adequately explain to the creatures around him. JaPONIES!? Does this world live off of puns? Is it a driving force in this universe? It didn't help that he piled onto that with JaPONE and NiPONE. He genuinely had to turn his head around wrestle control of his expression away from his amusement. "I'm not entirely sure how I know it. It must be part of the memories that I can't recall." He said, struggling to speak properly, he cleared his throat as he continued, "I hope they would like to help me. It would be nice to have familiar faces guiding me around this new place. Maybe it'll help me remember things."

Boulder's ears sprang to attention his face betrayed an alertness to it for a brief moment at the use of Japanese. Though he was nowhere near fluent in the tongue, he knew enough to know what he had said. Did they have japanese in this world? It sounded as if they were speaking English at the moment, but that could simply be his brain interpreting their tongue into something intelligible. The colt tilted his head to the side before speaking. "Watashi wa mada nihongo ga jouzu ja arimasen." he said, trying to remember the phrasing he had learned from an audio tape ages ago. If it was something he misheard that part would simply sound like gibberish, but if he truly did speak japanese that would get his attention. " I don't think you could have known. I was far away from this place when I had escaped and spent a very long time trying to get anywhere for safety. Even now I'm not entirely sure if this place is safe from those creatures." The city itself sounded rather strange. Many homes and buildings available for free? Yet there seemed to be an active civilization here if what he had seen so far was anything to go by. Perhaps this city had been home to a much larger population, but now a new group had taken over and are trying to fill up the space that was left behind? With all the vacant buildings one might imagine that at least some have fallen into dilapidation. Such a strange place indeed.

Oh I didn't just mean for your character. I meant the profiles for everyone participating in the rp in the 1st page of the OOC, so I'm not having to find them in the weeds of the posts every time.

It actually makes some kinda sense that ponies prefer Spears over swords. Not only would they be easier for them to handle with their legs, spears and pikes were best used against charging Calvary, aka opponents on horseback. The only ponies I'd think would get solid use out of a sword would either be a unicorn or someone who learned how to fight like that wolf from Dark Souls lol.

Boulder had to admit the one named Sundae Delight sure looked the part of an Ice Cream Parlor owner. She looked like she could be a mascot of a store in his world with the way her coat and mane was colored. He had thought his own name was rather lame and punny growing up, but for these ponies such names seemed to be normal. A stroke of luck he supposed. The hornless and wingless one was called an Earth Pony. He supposed that made himself an Earth Pony as well. Keen Fan was a shade of pinkish purple that seemed to stand out in his vision, like some type of flower given a pony's form. Even the darkly colored Pegasus stood out in comparison to animals in his memories. His own coat was a shade of white that was almost hard on the eyes with how light it was, making even the bed sheets look gray in comparison. It made his Brown curly mane and tail stand out all the more when compared to it. This didn't stand out much the day before since he was caked in dirt and sweat. "I am glad I came across nice Peo-ponies who wanted to help me. I'm not sure what I will do from here, but I'm happy that I am safe at least."

He said with a nod, "But I can't seem to remember anything that happened before I was kidnapped by those creatures that called themselves Diamond Dogs. I'm also... not exactly sure what I am, or what you all are. The Diamond Dog creatures kept calling me a pony, but I didn't know if that were true or some kind of insult. I'm sorry if I come across as naive, but I can't find those answers in my head." Which wasn't technically a lie. He was quite ignorant to the world and how it worked, but it wasn't due to amnesia. For the time being he'd keep that particular cover story up and try to learn what he can about the world around him.

@Emerald Heart @Windy Breeze 🥧 @Samurai Equine A lot of things were happening all at once. The first one to arrive was an emerald green pony without a horn or wings. Given he didn't have either of those either he had to assume they were the same type of sub race of these creatures. She had the image of a book on her flank that had some type of golden horseshoe. She wasn't the only one with these strangely prominent images on their flanks. Were they some type of tattoo? Why only in that one part of the body? Must be a cultural thing. She also seemed to be wearing some type pearl jewelry. Clothing seemed to be rather optional in this society if the medical staff was anything to go by, and this seemed to add to that idea. The other ponies had their own eye catching palates, much different than what he was used too back in his home reality. "Thank you all for helping me yesterday." Boulder said, bowing his head slightly as he sat on the medical bed. " What is this place called? I can't remember much so I'm trying to understand where I am."

@Samurai Equine @Windy Breeze 🥧 So I'm working on a post right now and want to describe your characters from Boulder's perspective, but I'm running into a bit of an issue. The actual character profiles and appearances are not in a centralized location for easy referencing. I found @Emerald Heart 's OC Fable's appearance and such but I'm having some difficulties tracking down Windy's multiple OC's on the ooc. If I could get those that would be great. and for Samurai, if you could put something in the first page in a spoiler that shows their complete profiles and character descriptions that would help a lot with referencing characters in the rp.

I appreciate it. I'm not exactly sure how to help people out with that so we don't run into that issue later. I know someone mentioned drawing my oc, maybe I'll just include a picture of him with each post or something.

few things about your post. I've mentioned this ad nausium before but people don't seem to be getting it even though I've explained this rather thoroughly both in the ooc and in the posts themselves. Boulder is a Colt/ A kid/ A child. Or at least his body is. Yet I've had him referred to as a Sir or a Stallion a number of times, which is going to cause a lot of confusion. Please be mindful of my characters appearance cause it takes me out of the rp when stuff like that happens. Also, he was admitted to the hospital "Yesterday." So he was out of it yesterday, not earlier that day.

It's already set for him to have visitors. I didn't know who to tag unfortunately which is why I went to the ooc about it.

he's a colt, just woke up in the hospital. I don't believe you're one of the ones that interacted with him during that affair tho. He made a brief appearance before the race and has been out of the picture during that whole thing.

Thunder Dash asking the question again, who will be picking up/ interacting with Boulder? I'm aware some people wanted to have some kind of interaction with him.

@Samurai Equine JOHN BUCK. That got an audible groan out of me, and I just wanted you to know that LOL. The dad joke was strong with that one.

"Visitors?" Boulder cocked his head to the side quizzically at that. He supposed it made sense that there were ponies concerned about his well being. He was a kid after all at least by all outward appearances. "Sure I don't see why I wouldn't want to have visitors. Did they perhaps say they know who I am?" That last part was to help guide along the idea of him having amnesia. Though the doctors and other medical staff seemed to have bought it for now didn't mean that he shouldn't stop laying the groundwork for that particular deception. It was the most plausible form of deniability that would allow him to not know any number of local customs or current events after all. It wouldn't be strange if an amnesiac didn't know something that should be common knowledge after all.

@Samurai Equine Now that Boulder was a bit more clear headed, he spoke with the doctor without making a break for it again. there was still a guard pony outside the door in case he tried something however, considering the fact he had sent a few grown stallions flying earlier in the morning during his escape attempt. They weren't questioning him on his preternatural strength so it didn't seem THAT uncommon, though it was rare enough that no one else he ran into in the hospital had it. He chose his words carefully as he spoke to the doctor. From the way they were treating him, Boulder's body seemed to be younger than the one he had in his own reality. While back home he was a high school student this was clearly something more akin to a grade schooler, perhaps younger. He couldn't really tell since a lot of these ponies looked the same to him with only different colored coats and manes distinguishing them. The Stallions seemed to be stockier with broader jawlines and sounded more masculine, so he could differentiate little things like that, but remembering faces was going to be a challenge. Boulder tentatively explained that he did not remember what happened before. The only thing he remembers was his time with the Diamond dogs and escaping from them, as well as his own name. This wasn't a lie in the technical sense, given that this did account for the entirety of his memories of being in this Equestria. He explained what the Diamond dogs were, what slave labor he performed for them, and how he escaped from their clutches. From the shocked and empathetic looks he was getting towards his amnesia as well as his treatment under those canines claws, the story seemed to be carrying water at least. He'd need to be wary of potential mind readers though. It's rather clear to Boulder at this point that these ponies had some kind of powers, like the ability to levitate him off the ground or his own ability to burrow through the earth extremely fast. Somepony with the ability to glean into his mind somehow would be able to find out that he wasn't actually a pony, at least on the inside, and that could cause problems. They seemed nice enough, but he was waiting for that other shoe to drop.
