  1. "And we are grateful for that ma'am. Thank you again." He let out a sigh after the mare left and set about attending to his other patients. While he could certainly understand where offense was taken, holding a colt up to such an unreasonable and callous standard was simply unconscionable to him. Whatever she happened to see in the colt, the doctor saw a child that was in desperate need of attention. Where ever he had come from had not been a healthy place for someone so young. Thankfully it seemed this colt was going to make a full recovery.
  2. The doctor raised an eyebrow at the mare's last word and got between her and the colt. "If you have no relation with the colt then I think you had better leave. Visiting hours will be ending soon regardless. We do appreciate your assistance bringing him here." The doctor became more than a bit cautious of the mare after she had uttered the word fool at the colt she had found muddied, exhausted, and malnourished outside of her hotel. He felt reaching out to authorities might be a good idea given the strangeness of this situation. It was quite suspicious she would have such a reaction. "If you could escort Ms Fable to the entrance nurse."
  3. After the doctors had gotten Boulder situated, he looked much more comfortable than he did before. The doctors and nurses made sure that the colt was being fed the proper nutrition and hydration through both physical and magical means. It was clear from their efforts that his face had relaxed by quite a bit and he was sleeping much more calmly now than he was before when he had passed out. "This is a strong little Earth Pony. With some overnight observation he should be fine by the time morning comes around." The doctor said with a smile before turning to Fable, " I am deeply concerned with the state he was in however. Where did you happen to find this colt?"
  4. What the heck is this "Simp" thing. I feel so old hearing this new slang popping up out of seemingly nowhere a while ago and now it's just everywhere. From what I've seen it seems to be a derogatory name for people in "one sided" relationships. Sort of like Spike in the earlier seasons with Rarity I guess, where he just bent over backwards for her? Yet I've also seen it used as like "just being nice to female" so who knows. Feels like something that sprang out of the Incel corner of the internet.

Don't really know. But the word sounds funny enough to make me laugh :muffins:

Uuuuuuu, the incel corner. Guess the [censored] places of the internet are slowly morphing into an unfathomable Warp-like nightmare in the heads of some people. It's only a matter of time before Tor-chan becomes one of our deities :P Anyhow, simps are just thirsty guys who'll do anything for female attention even if it means they get exploited.

I kinda want to see art of websites depicted as eldritch horrors now.

  5. I set it up like that specifically so I could take a back seat during the race, no worries. When the race is done and it's the next day, let me know and my character will wake up.
  6. Alright I guess that's a no then? I mean it'd be nice if I had a reply.
  7. I had a funny thought as I was typing that last post. The Good Doctor could probably pull this off if our villains ever have a Karaoke night lol
  8. "𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕒𝕘𝕣𝕖𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕄𝕒𝕕𝕒𝕞." Spoke the chopped up recordings of Doctor Prosthesis as he pivoted his lumbering white form to Nanami. He stepped forward in front of the group and his strangely shaped mechanical head opened up, white composite materials slithering into a new position as a three dimensional projection erupted from his face. As he continued talking, floating imagery of the world, dna strands, and various technical displays helped illustrate as he continued talking. "𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕕𝕠 𝕚𝕤 𝕟𝕖𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕠 𝕝𝕖𝕥 𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕜𝕤 𝕣𝕦𝕟 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕕, ℕ𝕆ℝ 𝕡𝕦𝕣𝕘𝕖 𝕤𝕦𝕔𝕙 𝕒 𝕧𝕒𝕝𝕦𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕔𝕖. At that last word, a canned laugh track from what looked like an old television show played in the hologram projection before his face immediately snapped back into its previous form. Every single word he spoke had been chopped together from old speeches he had gave back when he was human. Some were from documentaries, some were from recordings of various quality. Sometimes there was some static behind a word or two. Anyone who would be intimately familiar with his work would know where every word was being pulled from. "𝕀 𝕒𝕞 𝕗𝕦𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕠𝕟 𝕓𝕠𝕒𝕣𝕕 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟."
  9. @TBD @Drago Ryder @dragon4111 @Goat-kun @Canteen_the_unstable Request to post a bit early, I have a post in mind and I'd really like to make it.
  10. I'd say you wouldn't really NEED to update your quirk any. Enhanced strength and Speed would allow you to do similar things with practice. For example you'd be far more capable of climbing things like walls and such with that because you wouldn't be struggling with your grip nearly as much. Basically you could have your character do that Parkour thing that was popular in the early 2010s. Your quirk is fine the way it is, It's how you think about employing it that is going to make it cool. You don't need to fall into the DC universe trap of just piling on powers till they're just bloated. Focus on the ones you do have and figure out HOW to use them in a fight. There's a lot you can do with enhanced speed and strength.
  11. @Windy Breeze @Emerald Heart @Samurai Equine It didn't take much of an examination to know that the Mud covered colt was in critical condition. Like a beehive that had been shaken to life Doctors and nurses scrambled around the colt and ushered him onto a stretcher. Horns were glowing while they spoke to each other about their various observations of his condition in their complex medical jargon, using magic to clean the young ponies dirty coat quickly and efficiently while checking for external injuries. Even as they were rushing down the hall they were finding some alarming information of the colts condition. He was dangerously dehydrated and malnourished, as if he hadn't had access to proper food and water for weeks on end. Boulder had been barely conscious during his strange tour through Friendshire. His vision was blurred behind his closed eyelids to the point that everything was just a mesh of bright colors. He felt more safe now that his body was strapped down and hearing those medical words he recalled from Hospital tv dramas. Wherever he was they were trying to help him at least. He was far to tired to even begin to try to get scared that they might want to experiment on him.
  12. I'd say keep the vampire quirk and have the Crystal Devil one be a second character that's had a history with your main character. That quirk reads like a Cat Burglar/Gem Heist villain in the making. Ivor and Zero would be a fun matchup, cause they both have a need to avoid UV radiation to get the most out of their quirk.
  13. @Samurai Equine I appreciate that. I had assumed my character would have been carted off by medical ponies from the start when I had posted it, but this'll work. I'll have my character half remember the impromptu "tour" he had when he wakes up after the race is over the next day. Oh and if you could hit me up when the next day actually starts in the rp I would appreciate it.
  14. Also, like I mentioned before, he's a colt not a stallion.
  15. Oh he's unconscious. I'm planning on waking him up after this whole race dealio is done. Hopefully in a hospital bed.
  16. I'm kinda bored, so I think I may give a bit of an idea of HOW Contingency is in a fight. I'm drawing from a few sources for Contingency. One is from his Quirk itself. His is a purely Mental Quirk that enhances his intelligence, comprehension, clarity of thought, Information processing, risk calculation and Problem solving to super human levels while he is pondering ways of preserving, protecting, and/or prolonging life (be it his own, or on a broader scale). In order for him to employ his quirk and use those exponential levels of mental power, he has to figure out how what he is working on relates to that topic. If there is no way to connect it to his area of expertise, he cannot use his quirk on it. If he can find a firm connection, he becomes exponentially more capable at whatever task he puts his mind to. Everything from his robotic body to all of the facets and modules inside of it relates to this overarching theme. With that in mind, it is safe to assume that his defensive and evasive capabilities are FAR higher than his offensive capabilities. If it is in the pursuit of protecting himself and enabling him to defend himself in a fight, even if it's just long enough to escape, he'll be especially capable of doing it. This also means he is NOT above running away from a fight. He prefers conflicts where he can control the variables, and if there is too many things going on he will retreat and regroup. This Quirk along with his Robotic body give him enhanced reflexes in combat comparable to something like Spider-Man with his spider sense. However, UNLIKE spiderman, it is not something that is always on. He has to actively keep his quirk on to be able to calculate how to dodge and evade attacks, and calculate the best route to attack. He also has a style of fighting that you could compare with drunken boxing or Voldo from Soul Calibur. While it looks like his body is gangly and uncoordinated, that is merely a ruse to psyche the opponent out. He is also heavily inspired from horror tropes. He will crawl about in unnatural ways, He'll scurry inside of vents crawlspaces, he'll contort in disturbing positions. Cutting the lights, removing your ability to call for help, anything and everything he can do to terrify and alarm his opponent will be employed. It's something he's quite capable of, cause he has figured out that scaring people raises his chance of survival, thus engaging his quirk. Third and finally, he is a very mobile character. Despite how lumbering and strange he appears in his white robotic form, he has the capability of moving about at quite fast speeds, especially in open areas. He does this by employing friction manipulating and shock absorbing technology that would be revolutionary if he ever released it to the public. With it he can move something like this, from an Old long forgotten game called Kinetica for the Playstation 2
  17. No worries, I merely grabbed everyone that was on the player list on the first page. If you could edit who is active and who isn't that would help things a bit. Hope you liked my characters entrance!
  18. As long as everyone behaves like an adult and isn't so enamored with WINNING the fight we should be fine. This isn't a competition, we're telling a story. If it makes sense in the narrative for someone to win, then we should do that. We can hash out the details in the OOC to make sure everyone is on the same page. Where things get messy is when people throw hissy fits about "MY CHARACTER IS BETTER THAN YOUR CHARACTER" and nobody wants to see that juvenile nonsense. Talk it out, express your characters strengths and weaknesses, what the environment of the fight is, and what would make for a good story, and then we do that.
  19. Generally what I like to do is the Pro Wrestler approach. We know how the fight is going to end, then we perform it out in the ring. Basically, We talk out who would win or lose in the OOC, then we perform the fight in the rp. That way we aren't derailing the campaign with arguments and such.
  20. We can chalk it up in character to them just being so shocked at what they were seeing that they didn't know how to process it. No biggie lol.
  21. Alright, I'm not exactly sure what y'all are doing with my character right now. I'd have thought this would have been pretty obvious, but the colt clearly needs medical attention. He's covered in dirt and mud, he hasn't eaten in weeks, he's dehydrated, and quite literally just passed out. I'm sure Friendshire has some kind of hospital yes? If we could move him there I'd greatly appreciate it. My out of character goal was to have him wake up in the hospital after this race thing or whatever is going on so he could be properly introduced to the town when there isn't an event happening.
  22. @Windy Breeze Minor edit, Boulder is a Colt not a full grown stallion.
