It's pretty much safe to say that all of G3 My Little Pony is an absolute travesty to say the least. But what about G1? From my knowledge, it's not as good as G4, but is easily the second best MLP generation. I've only seen the two pilot specials (Rescue at Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina), the 1985 Movie, the two-parter Fugitive Flowers (which I though was great) and Spike's Search (which was not great, despite being in someways better than its G4 counterpart, Dragon Quest). But at this moment, I don't really want to waste time watching every single other G1 MLP episode, as I've heard it's mostly dreck, so I ask you, what episodes of G1 would you recommend (that also includes Tales, that is, if any of its episodes are worthwhile), other than the ones I've listed? And are there any other episodes with similar storys to Friendship is Magic?
