Back in my High School days my family moved so often I never got a chance to make friends and this was the early 90's so I didn't have internet access or forums to fall back on. Spent my days alone in my room, playing video games or reading books. No motivation to do anything else as I didn't want to even attempt to make a connection with anybody since I never knew when I would be moving again and saying goodbye was just too painful. It was the most depressing time of my life....

Come to my house, I have weeds to pull in my yard. ROTFL

And about the horror movies, I am right in there with you. I can't even listen to the commercials of them. So I avoid them like the plague during this time of the year due to October 31st and all.
