  1. I have Peacock, Hulu, Disney+ and Funimation with me for the time being so I'm good. What concerns me are the crackdowns on password sharing because streaming services don't like the idea of other consumers using their relatives' or friends' streaming accounts at no cost because they themselves can't afford streaming services, especially when it comes to monthly fees to fill in their pockets. If streaming services start to fail because they decide its a good idea to jack up prices while cracking down on password sharers because they're that greedy, then it shows that they're no better than cable TV with limited options with channels locked behind subscription paywalls. I'm still at least dependent on streaming until they decide to do something stupid. Tubi is a perfect example of a streaming service that requires no subscription payments and their contents offered are alright, even if lackluster at times. There's also Vudu, which is also a good option as you don't pay for subscription fees, you just buy movies and TV shows alike, and if you link your account to Movies Anywhere, then it becomes an even better convenience. Now, as much as I love owning physical copies of DVDs, the problem is that if they're used too often and are not handled properly, they can wear and become difficult to enjoy as a result of wear over time.
  2. So after The Last Problem, I always wondered where Luster Dawn and her new friends were headed after the final episode has concluded? Were there any tie-in comics related to Luster Dawn's adventures? Or were they never published in the form of comic books? Does anyone know if there are tie-in comics regarding Luster Dawn and her adventures with her friends, or has IDW stopped publishing MLP FiM comic books altogether?
  3. I'd say yes had it not been for the fact my inconsiderate next-door neighbor has a dog that will go crazy the moment fireworks start going off.
  4. I'd avoid Reddit at all costs because its become nothing more than a complete cesspool, and Reddit's mods favor trolls over users, the latter of which they're rendered helpless because moderators will do nothing about trolls, even when reporting them, and instead lay out bans on the victims just because they can. And Subredditors aren't any better as the majority of them are just as bad and are more than happy to lay on the hammer just because you're making valid points. That's what's everything wrong with Reddit. And after having been with Reddit for 4 years, it seems this "popular" site has gotten increasingly worse over time.

Oh, and don't bother with Reddit's support. They will apathetically dismiss any and all claims, even with valid proof with a screenshot because of how cynical they can be. So if you have a Reddit account, I suggest deleting them because as bad as it seems, Reddit has gotten increasingly hostile and toxic, namely from its moderators that opely support trolls and the community being incredibly abusive (and reporting them will do nothing, trust me. I've done this several times and Reddit mods and support alike didn't even bother to look into said reports and just ignored them altogether). You'll be thanking me for this.

I don’t understand how to read Reddit so I avoid it.

Yeah it's terrible, everything from the corporate side to the communities it's fostered now.

Personally had to deal with someone who cyberstalked me on there because I said something about the price of an item was not great considering the market prices getting more affordable for even the best models in that range. Like, they were dropping fast every week for the past few months. Some dude told me I'm very wrong (with an added slur which was completely unnecessary) and I even added a polite "It's my own speculation so you can take it with a grain of salt if you'd like" but he responded telling me I'm useless and not helpful (with more unnecessary slurs and swearing). Guess who got downvoted to oblivion? Me, because either people agreed with me being wrong or they approved of the slurs and swearing (or both, probably both). Every post I made from that point on he kept stalking me and downvoted everything I posted. Who wastes their time doing that? Please just let me know I made a mistake and I'll do my best to correct or clarify it and we can move on, which I tried to do as respectfully as I could.

Well anyways, that model and other (better engineered) models of that product went down $50 the following day. And then it went down another $20 the following week. And the other models which were a much better value were like $10 more than the price they fell down to the following week, because everything fell down in price on that model range. So, getting the worst model which was the one I said was not the best value at the time was not the best way to go with money, if people were considering buying it from legitimate retailers at the time.

I only go there every so often now just to find a random solution for something I'm having issues with because someone asked before and got a working solution for the same problem I'm having. Sometimes, Redditors can be helpful. Most of the time though, they're insufferable.

  5. So it took me years to realize that Princess Cadence's parents were never mentioned or revealed, and there's also no mention of her siblings either so... did she simply existed? Even Shining Armor has no awareness about Cadence's parents or siblings, and he just met her. And how Twilight met Cadence as her foal-sitter is a total mystery in itself. Unless Cadence's parents/siblings existed in the comics, how did Cadence even come to int he first place? Did she just... existed?
  6. Have 9 months left to be able to put my house for sale, but sadly still surviving in the meantime.
  7. Here's to my 11 years in the MLPForums despite my lacking presence!

      Happy Forumversary! :D

  8. So for anyone wondering why my activity has been increasingly sparse, let's just say that I have a lot going on in my mind right now. Namely my current living situation because I wished that 2024 would've arrived instead of 2023. But no, I have one more year of pure misery until I can put my house up for sale in February of 2024. Sure the year could go by fast, but its not going by fast enough. Normally I would've posted my life issue on my Blogs, though nobody reads them, even if I share them publicly. Same with Life Advice because that's considered a rule-breaker.

The reason why my activity has been sparse is, apart from gaming as means of escape, that Puerto Rico has gotten increasingly unstable to the point that I want out of here sooner than later, and move to the states, namely in Florida. Yes, the US has problems of their own, and I'm sure Kyoshi will agree with this. The problem is that Puerto Rico has gotten progressively worse, and it still is too. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Why not sell your house now instead of waiting?" Because if I did that, the bank will take a sizable chunk and I'll be left with a lot less alongside with my parents, thus making me poorer, not richer. Specifically, the bank takes $25k for buyer fees if my house was ever sold before 2024, which only worsens these aforementioned issues UNLESS I have that kind of money to pay off the bank ahead of time for them to give me the ok to put my house up for sale for a willing buyer to purchase the house for me to leave Puerto Rico for good, taking all of my important essentials with me while selling a couple of unwanted items to at least pay off the moving fees. If that ever happens, of course.

Normally I should've started working because I shouldn't be lazy and start being productive. That's easier said than done when there's little to no job opportunities for me, and their wages are incredibly stagnant as well. Not to mention that there's no English-speaking available jobs, if at all; I tried an office job, but the egregious working hours and erratic days were not working well for me, and that's before the pandemic happened three years back a month after I turned down that job. Yes, that would've been regretful of me to not work, but an office job like this is more of a nightmare job than a dream job. Yes, I could've worked for Amazon, except Amazon doesn't exist in Puerto Rico, and they're not very friendly or supportive with US territories (and maybe Alaska and Hawaii as well since both are far off from the mainland). So now as a result of me being jobless over the years because I haven't yet moved to the states, I'm basically stuck in a quagmire because of how inefficient Puerto Rico has become. And the longer I live there, the worse it gradually gets.

And my main reasons as to why Puerto Rico has been getting worse are something that I've listed out the obvious problems PR has:

    1. Constant power outages: Puerto Rico is incredibly notorious for constant power outages due to decades old electrical grid that's never been given any proper maintenance, much less an upgrade. And LUMA Energy is the sole electric provider that are more than happy to not only overcharge their customers for their atrocious services, but whenever a power outage occurs, the recovery times are insanely lengthy. Power restorations can range from at least 15-30 minutes, to 4-8 hours. And they can last from a day, to a whole week, or in a worse case scenario, a whole month. And this is not even from 2017 when these outages lasted for 3-4 months because of their inconsistent recovery, along with aid being nonexistent because of you-know-who who instead of helping Puerto Rico, made it worse than it already was. And Puerto Rico's government is completely brain-dead, as with many other politicians that clearly have no idea how to do their jobs right and instead circle-jerk around so much that they have no idea that they're causing irreparable damage year after year.

    2. Buying food from groceries are expensive along with taxes being too high: Now unless this is a US problem, this is nothing compared to PR. Yes you can find quality foods, but their prices are jacked up to no end so unless you're rich, you are royally screwed, thanks to high taxes along with high price tags so unless you want to go deep in the red, you might as well buy so little in order to save money. Though because of how high utilities are, its impossible to escape from these outrageous prices.

    3.  Not a lot of job opportunities: Unless you're a qualified doctor or a highly-skilled technician, jobs are too few and far between, and if you can't find the one that speaks your language, you're out of luck. Yes, there's tourism, but it feels second-hand given the economic inadequacies. So overall, its a matter of chance and luck in finding high-paying jobs and none of them works well.

    4. Police are unprofessional, lazy and corrupt: Basically makes Detroit and Baltimore look like Disneyland because police in Puerto Rico are far too few patrolling around, and many of them are not only underpaid, they have no professionalism and are sleazy so if you're a victim of crime, don't expect swift justice because this island is broken and of beyond help. And people on the roads... sheesh. Even New York City's traffic weren't that bad.

    5. Other miscellaneous stuff: Because I'm not gonna list out too much but I will say this; Puerto Rico's music is terrible. No sense of creativity whatsoever. The people here don't even like music that are far better than the ones from here. And I seriously hate reggaeton with a passion because it involves repetitive beats with vulgar lyrics that are both offensive and derogatory that makes hip-hop/rap look like pure perfection. Every time I hear this with their car stereo at ludicrous volumes, it makes me wonder if they even heard of real music. Its why I don't listen to salsa, merengue, or the third genre, because they're too stuck in the past. I even tried listening to salsa and merengue, but the more I tried to listen to it, the harder it was for me to enjoy them. Thanks but no thanks.

I ended up pulling an ultimatum by setting up a GoGetFunding page (because somehow GoFundMe does not provide the option to make donation pages available for US territories, which is unfair and hypocritical), filling out each and every detail on what's going wrong with Puerto Rico, and why I want to get out of dodge instead of having to endure the prolonged pain and suffering just for 2024 to arrive in order to sell my house without the bank company breathing down my neck. Yes, $25,000 seems overly-ambitious just to pay the absurd fee so that the bank company will give me the green light for me to put my house up for sale and for it to be bought by a willing buyer. But let me ask you folks this: Do I really want $25,000 so I can buy myself a fancy car? Or even a pricey gadget? My answer is NO. I am NOT interested in buying lavish luxuries whatsoever because if I want those luxuries, I'll buy it with my own money and not the money earned by people who want nothing more than to help me get a new and better life. Because in no way would I want money for my self-serving needs, that's purely out of the question. And I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want just one person doing all of the donations for me because its not only time-consuming, it will not benefit me for the better unless there's at least large number of folks who are willing to lend a hand.

And in my 11 years in the forums, I can't believe I had to write down something like this, because I know most people will tell me to get a job and work, but there's a realization as to how increasingly unstable my living condition is. Especially given the broke and corrupt nature this island nation's become. And its proven unlikely that it'll ever be a state because its far too much of a liability to ever be qualified as the 51st state. Yes, I know it sounded too political, but I'd be lying if I said otherwise.

If you had read this throughout, then congratulations. I hope most of you folks are at least generous enough in helping me get the necessary funds for me to get out of this disgraced island for good, just so I can start a new life over again, even if it was long overdue. For those who are interested in helping me out, here is the link for my fundraiser page. And I'm also willing to donate my own funds, but the site will not allow me to do so and the only way for me to do it is for me to transfer my own funds to a willing person with a PayPal link, either from an admin/moderator from here, or from a trusted user.

    Peace.

  9. I'm not sure if this is ideal, considering Netflix's poor business decisions. I'd be surprised if they do pull it off. If not, then Hasabro will need to introduce their own streaming services if it means cutting all ties from Netflix for good.
  10. Truth to be told, G5 hasn't gained much traction than with G4. Their plot seems average and it doesn't explore much of the Mane 5. While it is indeed a continuation from G4, it doesn't have the same hype-train feel than with FiM, which shone through the years. Yes, the characters are likable, but the overall plot and hype felt incredibly lacking. Yes, the G5 movie went well, but for the series itself? Yeah, the biggest problem is that it lacks the same formula G4 had, and the fanbase presence isn't there. While there are new ones that enjoy it, they're incredibly niche as the older, veteran fanbase had left and moved on. I wanted to like it, but the charm that G4 had was nonexistent in MYM, along with its animated spin-off (it was quirky, but otherwise lackluster overall), and the inadequate marketing contributes this. Furthermore, Netflix has been in hot water because of their gradual decline in subscriber numbers because of their poor practices by both increasing their subscription prices along with cracking down password sharers. That alone furthers diminishes G5's already-lackluster presence. Hasbro should've went for better alternatives of rstreaming services, maybe provide their own as well like Hasbro+ with modest subscription prices. Netflix has since turned from one of the streaming giants, into a greedy, selfish company that cares more about money by ridding more better and popular content into a far more cringy one that their own consumers will continue to turn away from unless Hasbro starts coming up with a better plan.
  11. No. There's nothing for me to invest due to no job and limited options in earning money, if at all. And most investments in earning money is only applied in the mainland US, and maybe elsewhee in the world. In US territories, those options are nonexistent. Even freelance work is impossible, and legitimate freelance sites are not only a scam, but impossible to earn profits.
  12. My guess is that Sony is too disinterested in remaking Goldeneye. But, least Hitman's got it covered.
  13. Right. So due to an ongoing life situation that's making normal living nigh impossible, here is the fundraiser link, it shows all the details given out. No, I don't like coming off as a beggar, and I will never take any and all funds for granted. Heck, even $1 is still more than enough for me to feel at least hopeful. 2024 clearly cannot come faster, and given the unstable living situation well... the description from said link should be more than enough to explain why.

By the way, if the fundraising goal fails by February of 024, I will gladly refund the donations to respective donors.

  14. I'm seriously contemplated in asking a moderator or admin because of an unforeseeable situation regarding real life, but I'm not sure if this is considered allowed. And I don't want to fill in too much detail either unless either a moderator or an admin (mostly admin) would ask me via DM about this.

  15. Man. This was a few days after I bought the complete DVD of Batman TAS from eBay. I even have Batman Beyond DVD as well and to see Kevin Conroy pass away unexpectedly felt as if my soul had been Thanos'd away...
  16. Irritated. And I clearly can't be bothered to explain with a thought-out rant either.
  17. Izzy's adorable and cute nature must be preserved at all costs. And she's already been a favorite of mine too. <3
  18. Gran Turismo getting its own movie... yeah, I don't see in it ever succeeding. And I've been a Gran Turismo fan since I was seven. With a generic plotline being revealed, along with live action mixed in, it'll just get thrashed by critics and user reviewers alike.
  19. Another reason why Netflix is still failing. Yet the only reason why I come back is both MLP G5 (which is okay, but it completely detracts from the overall continuity), and The Cuphead Show. That's pretty much it.
  20. For drink lovers, which ones do you like best?
  21. Allow me to conjure up my personal list: Rockstar Games - Oh how the mighty hath fallen. With many of its employees and other important people having left the company, their reputation became more and more negative. They earned billions in profits in a cash cow game that is Grand Theft Auto Online while deliberately abandoning Red Dead Online, along with Red Dead Redemption 2, which shows how tone deaf they are as a multi-billion dollar gaming company. Along with their lack of response to their own fans which also includes deliberately ignoring their responses, they even had the audacity to release GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition by hiring a developer that has shoddy reputation in their disastrous Xbox 360 release of GTA San Andreas, instead of Rockstar North, which shows that Rockstar Games are total cheapskates, and it also stems from underpaying voice actors as well, just so that Rockstar Games get the credit for themselves. As for GTA Online itself? It's not only a cash cow, but a total dumpster fire that just keeps on burning, but then you have the mindless fanboys that will just continue to defend Rockstar Games, even though they're clearly being taken advantage of and played for fools. Not really looking forward for their newest game if it just ends up becoming a cash cow, especially with their obvious neglect to their past games that were also successful. But of course, money matters more than their fans. Shame on you, Rockstar Games. Keep living in that little denial hole you keep digging yourselves in. Electronic Arts - Basically that one gaming company that detests single player-only games who also glorify in making their games to be pay-to-win, just to piss everyone off because they can. And they're also the trolls of a gaming company; they feed on the hate and make up excuses just to spite their own consumers, and having a "sense of pride and accomplishment" with them, just to twist the knife. And The Sims 4 is a massive cash cow with their DLCs being massively overpriced that makes pirating their game completely tolerable, just to bypass their obvious paywall disguised as major contents. It's really ironic because The Sims 4 is a single player-only game yet it's being milked like with GTA Online, all because they make new content at absurd prices. And they discount their DLCs, but they half-ass it instead because you know, money. And if it wasn't bad enough, EA has been repeatedly scrutinized even by governments worldwide. Why hasn't EA been faced with felony charges is beyond me. Their evidences regarding poor workplaces, along with blatantly including gambling mechanics in their games for children to unknowingly spend thousands of money in (even if its just "cosmetics"), is 100% obvious. Is EA bribing law enforcement and governments just so they can turn a blind eye? I can only hope EA faces yet another lawsuit they can't buy themselves out of, because they're clearly breaking the law by bribing officials. Konami - A clear case of being one of the most hated gaming companies because let's face it, microtransactions are a great way to earn money while deliberately destroying their own franchises. And after banning Hideo Kojima back in 2015, Konami clearly tarnished their reputation in infamy, and to add insult to injury, their deliberately ditched Pro Evolution soccer for "eFootball" (who came up with that name anyway?), which gained nothing but hate, with broken gameplay and, you guessed it, microtransactions. They clearly give othergaming companies in Japan a bad name, and they should be ashamed of themselves. Activision (and Blizzard Entertainment) - Yeah, Activision's obsession with Call of Duty is gonna be their eventual downfall... but then you have the fanboys that will vehemently defend it, even though they're clearly aware that Activision has been destroying their own reputation. But then there's Microsoft who wants to buy out Activision. Bad move, Microsoft. Activision is the embodiment of a living parasite, and Blizzard Entertainment is no different. Blizzard basically gained a lot of notoriety after banning BlitzChung, and the fact that they're still around amazes me, especially given their incredibly shady nature in overworking their employees. The real kicker is making their newest Diablo games mobile only, which is stupid in itself. And Wyatt Cheng deserves to be ridiculed for that. But wait! Their newest game has so much pay-to-lose mechanics (yes, pay-to-lose, not pay to-win) by deliberately rigging their own gambling system just for Activision-Blizzard to swim in money, knowing that their get-rich-quick scheme was successful. If governments weren't so lenient, Activision-Blizzard would be done for. Ubisoft - Like EA, they're haters to single player-only games, and will gladly make their games a live service, just because they can, and they don't give a flip to what others think in regards to live services. And if you have no internet, then that means you can't play their games that you legally bought. It shows how little Ubisoft cares and will gladly ignore any and all complaints from their own consumers, so long as money is raking in.
