Fan service, fan service everywhere. From Derpy's ditzy personality, the Doc's British accent and his knowledge of physics, to Octavia's British accent and Lyra crossing her front hooves like a human, I think this is a pretty obvious shout out to the fans and a good way to celebrate 100th episode, because few shows can make it to this long, especially for a cartoon. But I am very disappointed that DJ-Pon3 does not have any speaking roles. M.A. Larson stated that she is a pony that will express her feelings through music ([ironic] Thanks M.A. Larson![/ironic]), but I think the real reason is they can't find somebody who have a similar voice range with Nowhacking, who voices DJ-Pon3 in fanimations (fan animations). But still, watching this episode is still a blast, thanks M.A. Larson! (This time I mean it)

I'm not even ashamed of being a brony. In fact, most people sees no harm on being a fan of a cartoon show. Don't forget the S5 premiere that have some vibe of 1984 and Animal Farm in it.

To be brutally honest and like some of you folks here already said, anti-bronies hate people who fall outside of the "norm", and instead of understanding it, they wanna make us go away. When you ask them why, they will just give you a bunch of witty insults like "BECUZ U'RE GAY", "YOU'RE AN AUTISTIC FAGGOT" etc, but deep down under the hood they are so adhered to the gender stereotypes that they believe that anything outside of their "norm" should be annihilated. Just try to go to Youtube and search up news report about bronies, and take a look at the comments section, and you'll know what I mean. I once got flamed by an anti-brony on deviantART, and after a couple of minutes of browsing his profile I found that this guy is really a rabid hater, making a LITERALLY 9000 characters of rambling how ponies suck and how his day is utterly ruined and his eyes raped by a ponified Solid Snake on his Google image result. I tried to argue with him but he said that I'm just going circles with "stereotypical brony shit", even I try to be rational and admit that our fandom has flaws he just replied "That means your fandom sucks lol. Period." It was then I realized that arguing with this kind of people is like arguing with a racist. Basically if you're a race they don't like they will just tell you to fuck off and won't listen.

Speaking of muffins, I don't know what will Derpy think of when she eat those muffins...

Sort of reminds me of the leaders in China and their utter hypocrisy.

I really love this episode. I don't know if that's me, but the whole village sort of reminds of China during Cultural Revolution, USSR and North Korea, especially the last one. The forced smile, and the propaganda, not to mention you will have to stay low in order to not be caught red hoofed by our great leader Starlight Glimmer if you wanna talk about Cutie Marks . Moving on, I can foresee a lot of potential fanarts and shippings coming up. One is that balloon stallion (anybody know what's his name?) and Pinkie . Double Diamond sorts of reminds me of one of my brony friend's OC though.
