  1. I was the floater, I got along with every group yet belonged fully to none .Everyone knew me enough to be familiar with me and I did not have any enemies because I have the a stocky and barrel chested build. I even remember one time that someone bumped in to me and apologize in fear thinking that I would beat them up. I made sure they knew that everything was cool but I never felt the need to belong or be a significant part of any one specific group.
  2. If you can find a DS emulator for it, it will run on it. I use it on my Linux box under the emulator DeSmuME, I'm sure you can find a DS emulator for almost any platform however. The file comes in a .nds file.
  3. Have any of you here played or heard of Pokemon Blaze Black or Volt White? For someone like me who longed for a harder pokemon game, one that really amped up the difficulty, and had every pokemon from every generation available in it from the single player game these two were fantastic. The Gym leaders are harder, general trainers harder, content added, every pokemon from every generation available from a single player game. All evolutions possible in a single player game. Most of all some of the text was changed to add more culturally relevant phrases and humor to the game. They can be played on a PC emulator so that will limit the market for them I'm sure. But wanted to see if any of you have heard of them or played them.
  4. A friend to me was always someone that was much more than just an acquaintance. Calling someone a friend meant that not only could I count on them, but that I could open up to them, that we could talk about anything at any time. That no matter what we looked out for each others well being even if they don't see it that way at the time. I always took friendship a bit more deeply usual, that outlook until MLP has really been lacking. Good to see it coming back in MLP.
  5. Good to find someone else interested in it here. Cisco is a good universal place to start, and branch out from there. Depending on what you want to go in to from there things change. ISPs use different vendors as a common practice, Cellular is an entirely different world of networking with it's own miriad of vendors, and companies / educational facilities all have smaller networks that are usually a single vendor. I'll PM you since I think we're kinda derailing a "Welcome" thread.
  6. Sorry Daring, didn't mean to leave you out. A network engineering student, nice! What areas are you specializing in? Feel free and drop me a message if you'd like to talk at all. I mostly deal with Cisco, Juniper, and Ciena router and switch configuration and planning.
  7. ~laughs~ A Flufflepuff welcome? Fitting from the sectional staff. Thanks for the welcome I too hope to meet others and find friends while I'm here.
  8. Kaiji.rein Feel free and contact me whenever, may not be able to respond all the time but always interested in talking.
  9. Pro tip from experience: Never skip school assuming your parent, who normally works from home, will be gone all day. Doesn't end too well.
  10. No, my wife has slipped up a few times and said it offline. At which time she receives a deadpan stare saying "Really?".
  11. Shows my age but oh well. Ryoko Hakubi - Tenchi Muyo
  12. I can't say that I have much, there are never really times when it is appropriate. That and thinking about what you are actually saying when you say it is a bit funny to think about when literally translated by someone else.
  13. Very much so, knowledge gathered through research and time, not always recognized by myself or others but with a bit of confidence can be brought to the surface and make a difference. In the area of It mostly but knowledge both in life and other areas as well. The eyes down case and the arm position is the hesitation to share it, not having the full confidence to say anything at any time and know it is valuable, but the smile showing that I like to share and help both others with what I know and seeing it make a difference. The background is hard to see but binary and fiber optic cables for my IT networking specialty.
  14. A bit apprehensive, I'm not one usually to put myself out there but know that I need to. Much like Twilight in episode one, sometimes you just need a push, whether it's from someone else or from your own initiative. Otherwise pretty good actually, starting to catch up on life's responsibilities and get in the clear for the life goals that have been gathering dust for the past year or so.
  15. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: I've known about it for a while, just have not joined until recently. Mostly from lack of time. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My wife and I watched it together, mostly for her at first until around episode four of season one. Then I found the fandom and it took off from there. Hello everyone, I'm a 27 year old male fan of MLP and the fandom. I'm a network engineer by profession and work for a mid-sized ISP. Have been an active follower of the fandom and MLP for about three years, but decided to throw my hat in the ring and join in. I love researching new things, teaching, learning, and growing both myself and others. Which is probably why I identify with Twilight the most, though Fluttershy is similar to my personality as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know you, learning more, and finding friends in this fandom. I'm open to pretty much anything and everything so feel free to drop me a message whenever.
