Does anyone watch Eurovision and if so, what are your favorite songs this year, 2015?

I personally love the idea with Eurovision, 'cause Europe get this chance every year to share their love for music and culture, we come together in a song contest. It's a fair deal and it's just amazing to see, so powerful with all the countries together in one big thing, cooperating to make a good show for all the people.

I'm so happy to see Australia with us this year too! Even if they're not a part of Europe, they've done a lot for Eurovision through the years and are great with music as well. Welcome to the show, Australia. <3

Either way, I watched the Semi final part 1 yesterday and my favorites were the following:

Romania

I love this one because of the message of the song, and because it's very catchy. I also adore how they decided to sing the first half of the song in Romanian and the second part of it in English. Very clever if you ask me!

Serbia

This one had a powerful song, a great message and a fantastic performance! I really enjoyed it, and it caught my attention a little bit extra. <3

Hungary

This was a little boring to listen to, but SURELY a beautiful message, fine lyrics, AMAZING light show on stage and a pretty song in general.

I'm waiting in excitement for tomorrow, Semi final 2, that my country is going to be competing in!

The Book of Life is a wwwaaaayyy underrated movie, it's awesome and it doesn't get much recognition at all.

And Secret of Kells, it's got amazing art and animation. A piece I'm sure many would enjoy too.

Chasing Mavericks is also a great movie I haven't heard many talking about.

Discord can do anything! ... Almost anything, he's the Lord of Chaos. Nothing surprises me with him at all.

He could send Tree Hugger to me and let me befriend her, that would have been great. 

I can have some mistrust in human nature, I've lost a lot of hope in humanity in the past few years because of MANY, many reasons. I cannot believe I still have any faith in humanity at all after all I've seen. However... I'm always naive and hoping for the best, never wanting to think that anyone's evil or selfish, that everyone's got something deep inside of them that means no harm. I always try to understand other people and why they act or do bad things. I try very hard understanding others, and the truth is, I cannot always understand them. But I want them to know that I'm not judging them for their doings and I'm always trying to have some in-sight on why they do what they do and that they surely have a reason for it. All people need someone to care and listen, even the bad ones. 

I don't really know what I should call myself, but I'm mostly just... Being.

And to answer the title question; My thoughts are that people probably have a reason to be cynical, like I'm sure a idealist has their reason to be an idealist. So I accept their opinions and thoughts, if they let me express mine as well without any hard feelings.

I watch plenty of shows about strange things and I love it.

I like a variety of both! But I prefer when they look more realistic. I guess I'm just not that big of a fan for the too... Out of control cartoon art style. I like it when it's more controlled and smooth. As I said though, I'm open for both and I don't mind either of them. Love cartoon. <3

Huh? I do not get what you mean by that... I haven't eaten anything with tomato in it in weeks, and I am vegan. I would suggest that you look in to more recipe ideas if you feel like tomatoes are a major part of such a diet. I know the "default" for many veg/vegans that are new to it is pasta, so that may be where you got the idea. I made my own personal recipe book when in transition from omnivore to vegetarian to vegan, and only a few of the meals include tomatoes....

That sounds amazing! Perhaps I'm under-educated! I'd love to learn more about what to eat and what to cook turning into a vegetarian, I've just heard plenty of people telling me basically everything is based off of tomatoes. I cannot stand them. I managed to eat half of a cherry tomato the other day, that's the biggest step I've ever taken closer to being able to eat tomatoes without vomiting though! It's a bit disturbing, 'cause I really want to learn how to eat them, but my body says no. I can only dream of a life with tomatoes in my food. xD

I shall look for more vegetarian and vegan recipes, I just have a hard time finding them, much like the creator of this thread.

I totally get it. I'm super chill like her but I'm more of a sage than a hippy. I love my Earth Warriors! That's why I like her so much. She seems really easy to get along with. And yeah, she's gonna get branded as a stoner hippy pony. That glazed expression and the inflections she uses with her words are... unique to that kind of lifestyle. I would know because I do part take, often with tree huggers, and it annoys me when I'm exposed to cannabis use or misconceptions of the culture displayed in a negative light. All the MLG, lame 420 jokes, Snoop Dogg, (basically the stuff that was created by someone who has probably never even smelled mary J before) really gets on my nerves sometimes. Now Tree Hugger is gonna be put through that and it breaks my heart.

 

But I don't think Tree Hugger would care. She would be flattered and welcoming of this form of expression. I mean it really isn't that much of a big deal. I like to think of her as a pony who does get high on life but also other things, kinda like I do. Her outlook on life is pointed to the bright side! 

I feel the same! And yes, she would probably not care at all. If anything, she would probably think it was a beautiful way for people to express the way they saw her, she seems so open to everything and I just absolutely love her. So yes indeed!

I understand why all of this fanart is going to occur, everyone seems to be thinking she's some kind of stoner no matter what you tell them, but let it be that way. I just hope that not the majority of all fanart of Tree Hugger is going to be drug-related. Not that I really have anything against drugs or anything like that either, I respect people who do drugs too, it's just nothing I'm too into. Either way, I'd love to see some fanart that actually represents what kind of pony she really is too. <3

Yeah I know, it's a lot of pretty weird Alicorn OC's out there. But there are also a lot of VERY beautiful ones. Depending on how well thought-through they are by story and looks. 

I LOVE HER. I can relate to her in so many ways. And noooo, I don't want this fandom to be all over thinking that she's a stoner, when she's clearly not! If anything, she's high on LIFE. Just like me! <3 We're going to be seeing all this fanart of her being stoned, getting stoned, and it's going to be funny for a while. But for me, it's not even very funny to begin with. I don't see why a pony like her, slow, chill, at peace with herself and others, has to be associated with drugs and stuff. She's just, like me, but with a more hippie way of dressing.. Hell, I wear flowercrowns, flower clothes and I've considered rasta. And I'm not on drugs only because I'm slow, positive and has a certain style of clothing, right? xD I think..

But yeah, I love heeer. Before, I had people telling me I was like Fluttershy, because of my really advanced, constant stage fright and because of my love for animals and nature. This is probably like the fourth time I'm commenting here. But well, I really like Treehugger.

I respect people's opinions and all, but there is no reason to hating her, she's only appeared once and I'd MORE than love it if she came back sometime soon. There were times I didn't dig Rainbow Dash, she was being a PAIN in the plot, but I didn't wish for her to never appear again in the show for that matter, she got better in my eyes with time. Give Treehugger another chance if you don't like her, people! I still respect if you don't, but at least consider it! I want her back in the show, she's gotten all of my votes for that! She is probably the pony I can relate to the most, to be honest. Before, it was Fluttershy for the animals and advanced stage fright. Now it's just... Treehugger, yeah. Very much alike me and my way of thinking.

And this is a FACT, she's not a stoner. I bet she has tried it sometime in her peaceful journeys and roadtrips, like any other pony discovering stuff for sure. I mean, she likes to discover new species, understand people and animals, let them have felt the harmony she's found inside of herself. She know what she's doing, too. She's NOT stoned. x'D Like, for real.

She might be a hippie by style and living, but that doesn't mean she NEEDS to do drugs. I just see her as a pony inspired by the hippie culture(which I've become very interested in thus far too, anyway), that have found peace in her life and with herself. Like, if any of you would get to that point; Where you're fully satisfied about your existence and everything around you? You'd probably also go all positive and chill about things. I haven't fully accepted my existence yet, but I HAVE accepted everything around me to a certain point. That's why I'm also laid back, slow and positive. I hope ya'll can get there at some point too, in life. I promise you that if you do, it will feel great.

I can really relate to her in every single way. She loves nature, she's calm, she wants good for others, she's really laid back, she's slow and forgetful. Everything I am. And I'm not high.

I'd LOVE that. XD I'd join her! I love hugging trees! I can relate to her so much. So chill, so ... Nature friendly. So slow. It's basically me. With the big eyebrows!

I've made my ponysona, meaning me as a pony with thick eyebrows as well, for a reason.. EYEBROWS. <3 Look at them delicious pony eyebrows! More ponies need thicker eyebrows, it's missing in my life of watching MLP.

I'd say no, she's not. She's just high on life and at peace with the world, basically. That's why she is like she is.

Not remembering meeting Discord was probably just bubbled up from her personality, the ones she don't need to keep on her mind, she don't. 

I don't have a problem with them as long as they have a legit Alicorn title that makes sense and a history behind how they became an Alicorn. Otherwise, I just shrug, perhaps roll my eyes depending on how bad it is and then move on.

Pinkie Pie? Probably, with all the canons and everything she's got hidden, also from what I know she's pretty strong, without bragging much about it.

Fluttershy? She gives massage to a bear, so yes probably.

Rainbow Dash? No doubt about it, she'd kick a human's ass and we'd lie dead on the ground afterwards.

Applejack? Same as Rainbow, no doubt about it. She could break both of our legs in several spots if she wanted to.

Twilight, with her magic, YES.

Rarity? No, probably not. But I love her anyway.

I'm pansexual myself. I went from thinking I was straight, to thinking I was bicurious, to knowing with 100% certainty that I was indeed pansexual.

Now, how do you feel towards men? Any sexual attraction at all? Any romantic attraction?

What about women? Any attraction there? 

I'd love to become a vegetarian, I'm eating as much vegetarian and vegan as I possibly can, at all times.

The only reason I'm not a full-time vegetarian; is because I live with people who doesn't want to cope with my vegetarian diet plans. They love meat and no one can tell them how good or not it is to become a vegetarian. As soon as I fully move out, I'll be joining the vegetarian side.

My other reason is that I would probably starve myself. I don't eat tomato, and most of the vegetarian and vegan food is based of off tomatoes. I cannot eat them, in a million years or so.. xD

But I always, as I mentioned, choose vegetarian whenever I can.

And I'm also really questioning what kind of food that can be consumed that is fairly cheap and easy to get a hold of. I love to cook, so that's not a problem. But it SURE is hard to find good food that is vegan and enough for your body to stay healthy. Starving is not an option!

However, I can try and give you some tips on what I eat whenever I choose to make vegetarian food.

First of all... I apologize, but I do not know what these are called and I cannot find an English translation, but in Sweden, we have this thing we call "linser":

Any way, this is a great ingredient to have, it's fairly cheap and easy to cook up. You can make pies out of it, soup, salad, or just have it as an extra push to any meal, keeping your tummy full and satisfied.

Same goes for broccoli, you can use broccoli to make soup, wok and pie, and it will keep you full for a longer period as well. I personally LOVE broccoli, so that's a big plus for me. Season it all with some salt and it gets even better. A cheaper alternative is to buy it in frozen form, instead of buying the fresh vegetable as it is. It might not be as tasty in frozen form, depending on what kind of food you're making. Whenever you're making soup, there is usually not that big of a difference, compared to if you just want to cook them over some steam... Then I recommend you to take the fresh vegetable instead, otherwise you will mostly get water and VERY little of the rest of the broccoli when it's done steaming.

Carrots, same thing. Great vegetable. Make some salad with eggs, if you eat eggs. Egg is always good for your brains, muscles and weight, it's a very good food to use for anything and everything. Potato and egg is a great combo! And as everyone else is mentioning; beans are fantastic.
