Why can't she occasionally visit Equestria as a secondary character?

I see three short sighted and bad reasons all of these can be easily addressed but it will take time and effort to address properly as far as the show is concerned as there needs to be elaboration and additional exposition to make it work.

 

1. It's way too late for a mane seven 

 

No it isn't, but the assumption of the mane 7 might be a flawed one in the first place.

 

The staff has been kicking around the idea of Sunset Shimmer being a seventh element and that would be empathy.

 

That said I think Sunset Shimmer would be a guest character rather than a permanent addition so this point would be moot. I see no problem with having her travel across both worlds just as there is no problem for Twilight to do as well on occasion.

 

2. The mane five do not know her

 

They would get to know her personally through various interactions with her, and they would know a little bit about her from Twilight.

 

Celestia and Twilight know Sunset Shimmer though and that is a good enough of a starting point to work with, and frankly it does not really matter that the other five don't know her.

 

3. She hasn't earned what the mane six have earned

 

And what is that the Mane 6 have earned exactly? Arguably Sunset Shimmer has accomplished the other five have not done within her three movies, so I would say she has earned a crack at it,

 

Friendship or redemption is not about entitlement or exclusion.

 

And not only has Equestria Girls not been referenced in the show, it's actually been flat-out contradicted as well. 

 

Might as well declare the show to be show non-canon as well since it has contradicted itself as well on occasion as well too.

 

Just because the show does not reference the movies does not make it non-canon especially since it has repeated several times that the films are considered to be canon, and yes the films directly reference the events of the show suggesting it is part of the same canon and continuity.

 

One good reason right there to include Sunset Shimmer in an episode or two is to put an end such nonsense by giving the naysayers irrefutable proof. A second good reason is to allow her to return to finally make amends and come to terms with Celestia, but both of these can be addressed in a movie without impacting the show.I don't care if it infuriates some people in the process as I think it would be a price worth paying.

 

One more reason for why she should stay in the human world.  She needs to face off against her human counterpart! 

 

That is assuming is she has one.

 

However this seems like something they are setting up for Science Twilight to do so the cycle can be complete. Sunset has learned about the magic of friendship, now it is Science Twilight's turn to do the same.

So you're saying that five seasons of mlp were a waste of time since Sunset Shimmer did a lot more in only the movies. Are you suggesting that Sunset Shimmer should replace the Mane Six because as you said, they never accomplished anything.

I never had the hatred towards DT that others had because of one thing: she's a kid.

 

That doesn't make that bad things she's done any better, but children are children. You see a nasty, rotten brat? Well guess what, they didn't just wake up one day and decide, yeah I'm going to be an ass. Their parents are the ones responsible.

 

And unfortunately for the poor rotten brats in question, unless SOMEONE gives them a reality check, their lives will just spiral miserably. If their parents or other authority figures don't lay down the law, then the only hope they have is for their own self-evaluation to kick in after the world dumps on them.

 

But the chances of that are poor, because NO human (or pony in this case) likes to criticize themselves.

And chances are even poorer that they'll act on that self-criticism and be able to turn their lives around.

 

Luckily for Diamond, this happened to her sooner rather than later.

She's like, "I've done everything I was ever told to do or allowed to do... but now I'm completely miserable. I don't want to be completely miserable, so I've got to act differently." That's an impressive realization for a child to come to.

You're wrong. When I was a bully, it wasn't my parent's fault, It was my fault. (It was also the teacher's fault for always siding with the bullies when I got bullied.) 

So Rarity fans and lovers I have an interesting question for you all: Besides Rarity who do you think is the prettiest Pony in all of Equestria? It could be another one of the Mane Six or some other Pony. For me I go with Cadance, she is a real pretty Pony!

You know the unicorn with the cookie cutie mark which Rarity imagined getting a Princess Dress in Rules of Rarity? I think she's very cute.

I can't be a Rarity fan anymore. Rarity fans are supposed to be good people, not meanies like me. 

Some bronies were siding with the Diamond Dogs in a Dog and Pony Show. Wanting someone to be enslaved, even a fictional character, is worse than bullying.

A lot of these sound like good episode ideas. As well as that I think the majority of these could actually happen. Although to be fair if season 6 is the last season then these would be a disappointing way to end the TV series.

 

I seriously doubt season 6 will be the last season.

Someone who works on the show stalks me. My ideas and things I want keep getting in the show. Take Crusaders of the Lost Mark for example. So many things I wanted all in one episode, even things that aren't even related. One of my ideas, before Twilight Kingdom, was so similar to that episode. It wasn't exactly the same. Rarity Investigates is another! Rarity was a detective for another reason, but still. (that one, Rarity looks like she would be a good detective. So it doesn't count.) This happened on a few occasions. So either I think like someone who works on MLP, or they are spying on me. I won't sue or anything. It wasn't plagiarism or anything. It was just very similar. If I'm being spied on, I'm flattered. But it's most likely a coincidence. Then again, my sister wrote a song, and later, Hannah Montana sang a very similar song. (this was years ago, I can't remember the song. My sister thought Hannah Montana stole her song.)

So if someone is spying on me, they would go here. RARITY AND PINKIE PIE EPISODE PLEASE!

It's hard for me to be a vegetarian when I love sea food, and most vegetarians (and especially vegans) I see below they are superior and we may eaters just torture animals and have no hearts.

I don't think Fluttershy's motivations are manipulation, though. I may not be a Fluttershy fan, but I can't accept that Fluttershy is secretly evil and just pretends to be shy or anything. I think she genuinely doesn't intend to manipulate and is successful in the same way a cute dog is successful at manipulating. That dog isn't manipulative or evil. But it's hard to resist those cute eyes. (I'm good at it. I care too much about my dogs to make them sick.)

There seems to be a fine line between representing and offending. Would it be offensive to have an Amish character drive a horse drawn carriage? Or is it a wagon? I can't remember. You know, Amish people actually do that in real life. They also build their own houses. I've seen it. They are pretty fast, too. Would it be offensive if an Amish character built their own house?

It's hard to represent different cultures when everything we do is offensive. 

Rarity is making me frustrated! I'm trying to style her mane, but it keeps going out of control! They need brushables that are brushable.

My Ponysona, Sunshine, is going as a tiger for Nightmare Night. 

I personally use MyPaint. Gimp was too frustrating for me, I didn't like paint.net, and my paint tool SAI trial expired. 

It may not be the best since most people don't use it, but I personally like it. It's not recommended if you don't have a drawing tablet, though. 

Keep in mind that I'm functionally retarded, though. There are a lot of better ones, but they are too hard for my tiny brain to figure out. 

(spell check and grammar check, if you're wondering why I don't look like someone with a low IQ.)

The opening two-parter sounds a bit unamusing for me - perhaps more specific would help.

On the other hand (hoof?), the rest are pretty convincing, one or two potentially being the candidate for the new episode.

Many of them involve Twilight and/or magic, and thank you for giving more screen time to the best pony!

Well, I have no idea what to say about Spike's one because he never had any really qualify ones.

I think Twilight has too little screen time. She is the main character of the show, but she has less screen time than Applejack, the who is often called a background pony.

Do some of them look like they could be actual episodes?

I prefer spontaneous and cheerful ponies over shy, angry, or stoic, and I don't really care for the parents. So Pinkie Pie it is. 

Also, I voted several pies. I love apple pie, but I also love pecan pie. I also love pumpkin pie, too. I couldn't decide.

One small problem. Season six is going to have 26 episodes.

Without any prior experience on how to write a list of episodes that look like actual episodes, I made up a list of My Little Pony episodes for Season 6? As you may be able to tell, I'm not good at this. Are there any episodes that look like they would work in the show? I know none of these will ever exist. I just wrote a fake list for the hay of it. I know season 5 isn't over, but I know what the rest of the episodes will be.

If you hope it's fake, it is. I won't pretend to work for them. (It would be nice, but that would never happen.)

1. Breakout: Part 1: The monsters of Tartarus break out, and it's up to the Mane Six to stop them.

2. Breakout: Part 2: The Mane Six have to get all the monsters back to Tartarus without using the Magic of Friendship.

3. Sparks of Interest: Twilight tries to find a new hobby to occupy herself when there are no new books to read.

4. A Markless Wall: The Cutie Mark Crusaders attempt to help a stubborn colt gain his cutie mark.

5. Cheaters and Liars: The map sends Applejack and Rainbow Dash to Fillydelphia to make sure the Hoofball teams play fairly.

6. The Search For Aid: Fluttershy searches for somepony who would understand how to care for an ill jackalope.

7. Family Feud: Sweetie Belle struggles as she tries to stop her parents from fighting the day before her birthday.

8. The Brand New Dragon: Spike takes on a new identity hoping that Twilight would care about him more.

9. Unbreakable Bond: Scootaloo has a nightmare that Rainbow Dash leaves her, so she does whatever she can to stop it from coming true.

10. Paradise: The map sends Pinkie Pie and Rarity to Pony Paradise, but they discover that it's anything but a paradise.

11. The Dark Morning: When Princess Celestia no longer feels like raising the sun, Pinkie Pie helps her in any way she can.

12. Doctor Fluttershy: Fluttershy bites off more than she can chew when she tries to resolve issues that her animal friends have.

13. The Raging Storm: Rainbow Dash's impatience causes weather problems throughout Ponyville.

14. The Handy Draconequus: Discord tries to take care of everything in Ponyville to prove that he can be responsible.

15. Country Mare: Applejack tries to do whatever she can to prove that she's not just a stereotype.

16. Princess Lousy: Twilight feels that she’s a terrible princess, and Rarity does what she can to prove otherwise.

17. Temptations: Spike faces constant temptation when Twilight Sparkle puts him on a strict diet.

18. Strong as Diamonds: Diamond Tiara finds herself in hot water when she tries to do favors for every filly and colt.

19. Fashion Biz: Rarity refuses to raise the price of her dresses as fabric prices increase causing her to lose a lot of money.

20. Ponyville Cheers: Pinkie Pie ignores her own happiness to make sure that everyone else is happy.

21. Deep Isolation: Twilight Sparkle locks herself away when she believes that she's sick after reading a medical book.

22. Such a Foal: Princess Cadance finds out the hard way that raising her own foal was different than foalsitting.

23. Early Bloom: Apple Bloom stops hanging out with her friends and starts trying to act like an adult.

24. Derbyshy: Fluttershy makes up excuses instead of telling her friends that she doesn't want to go to a roller derby.

25. Memories of Friendship: Part 1: The Mane Six lose a lot of their memories after one of Twilight Sparkle's spells go wrong.

26. Memories of Friendship: Part 2: Ponies who the Mane Six helped in the past return the favors by reminding them of their past.

The names are probably the worst. I suck at coming up with names. That's another reason why I don't want children. (I have other reasons.)

Hey can anyone recommend me some good Rarity fics? It's hard to find stuff for her.

 

Rarijack would be nice too, as that's weirdly popular everywhere EXPECT Fimfiction.

Ok... Not really. I suck at writing. I don't know, honestly.

I was listening to "Rules of Rarity" on repeat several times. If my vocal chords allow me, I am going to sing it to my girlfriend, who is aware of my terrible singing and lets me sing to her. It's my new favorite song. 

Am I the only one who is confused as to what Rarity's special talent is? 

In Cutie Mark Chronicles, it's implied that her special talent is finding gems. 

In Magical Mystery Cure, it's implied that it's making dresses. 

In The Cutie Map: Part 2, it's implied that it's beauty. 

I think the last one makes the most sense, considering that a lot of her magic is based on beauty. But I'm not fully sure. 

See while I think Sonic Rainboom is overrated, I disagree. The point was that Rarity wasn't acting like she normally would once she let the attention get to her head. She's intentionally written OOC basically. Plus you still get one of Rarity's most overlooked moments of empathy and generosity when she picks up on Dashes insecurity and volunteers to have the spell tested on her.

 

 

Yeah looking back Putting Your Hoof is kinda like Mare-Do-Well in that everyone is kind of off though of the two it's the more enjoyable to me cause Iron Will is hamtastic.

On the Sonic Rainboom part, that is precisely why I said it was while she was in Cloudsdale. 

as I have said before I don't consider any Rarity episode truly weak, even Simple Ways just barely falls on the right side of the average line.

 

See with testing testing  yeah I guess that's kinda weird yeah but the story is executed well and it has really fun appearences from everyone (it's actually one of the few S4s where Twilight wasn't just a boring exposition machine) So I really like it, always have fun watching it. and I just don't count Trade ya as a well anyone episode, that was pure group episode.

 

Mare-Do-Well isn't fine, it's hated for good reason. Everyone comes out looking like a jerk there.

Rarity. Despite her having a large role in two episodes I despise, Rarity episodes are typically episodes I love.
