Weeeellll... maybe!

These kinds of things can be useful, especially if you're planning to do a serious, or at least detailed kind of roleplay, and if it works, it can pay off better over time in a better story. On the other hand, it can also be fun to just wing things as you go along, even if they end up being out of character, contradicting themselves or ending up just plain silly - as long as everypony has fun, it's good enough. It's kind of like baking - you can invite a friend over to bake some muffins together and hope they know not to burn the kitchen down, or make a three-storey ice-cream surprise party cake and hope they're not lactose intolerant. For someone new to roleplaying, I actually recommend the first - it can feel less stressful, and there's plenty of chances for do-overs if anypony needs them.

Luna is the character I planned on using, since she's my favorite, and I was going to do a scenario where she helps somepony in need.
{nods} So we have a scenario outline. In the dream realm, in the waking world? It can be both, for that matter. Are there any traits or abilities she has that you particularly like?

Well, do you have anything to go on right now, be it either a goal, a premise, a scene, a character - it can often be easy to build from a single seed, either as a starting point, or something to point to one.
-
Dang, now I'm tempted to try and start a pony Starbound RP.

Applejack. Get-crap-done, no bells or whistles, function-over-form, really hate having to lie. Not much of a country person, but she'd still be Applejack away from the farm.One major difference is that I don't really care much about family, tho.

"Bad news, this play is officially a disaster."
"Fortunately, I know a thing or two about how to deal with those."
That scene right there. Nevermind the cute, nevermind the regal - fillies and gentlecolts, I present to you... competence!

I have a question, is it possible to fix these pickaxes? Mine is about to break. :c
Why not use a shiny new Matter Manipulator?

You know, that actually made me laugh for about 10 seconds straight. Dark, but hilarious.
Together, and you all broke through that little goal a few hours ago.
Next time we can probably just ask Maud, she'd pinpoint a deposit in seconds.

Fractal Rainboom!
Also Scootaloo's Very Special Episode.

Not really, but it does sound interesting...

So.... dresses only? No gentlecolt attire?

Hmmm. I do prefer the version with the green. It adds a very distinctive accent to the mane style that the first option does benefit from.

I still have slightly mixed feelings about it. On one hand, the change was a little... hamfisted, but I do feel like they were starting to exhaust what could be done with Twilight as a regular pony, given her background and situation. Plus, her personality hasn't changed much, but her situation did provide more opportunities for her to grow.

Not really, I think.
Nyctophobia.

Hi everybody!
{I feel like there's a pop culture reference I could put here...}
Since the Golden Oaks readings are starting to hit their stride and we have plenty of readers putting on fanfiction performances, it might be a good idea to know when our actual audience would be available - after all, there's little point to either one without the other, and while not everybody is going to be available for everybody, finding our mutual sweet spots probably wouldn't hurt.
So, without further ado, a few questions - and if there's other useful things you wish to share, by all means do.
1} Are you interested in the Golden Oaks Library readings? If not, is there something we can do to pique your interest?
2} Are there any times that you'd like us to lean towards for readings, or lean away for that matter. Please include your timezone or, if you're not comfortable with giving that away, let us know in something like UTC.
3} As for the material, are there kinds of fanfiction that you would prefer we do, or steer away from? Do you like certain genres more than others? Do you prefer short stories to multi-chapter minibooks? Specific authors? Specific seasons? Specific stories, for that matter?
Thanks for your time!

Really liking the new 'Librarian' rank that the readers have been given--those who weren't already staff of course--and of course, congratulations to the new readers. Yours is a difficult path to take but one that you have chosen because you know how best to handle it.
Heh, I didn't even notice up until now.

Quinch: Quinch is one of our more levelheaded readers and I'm actually pretty thankful for that. He also has a really interesting voice. I have a lot of recommendations for him, but we'll see if my slow drip of Twilight Sparkle fanfiction drive him crazy. (Or recruit him... as planned... > > )
Level-headed?! How dare you try to pigeonhole me into a single trait! I am a person! I am not some one-dimensional cutout who can't sustain a pretended mockery of outrage for comedic effect!
Oh, wait, yes I am.
Hi folks!
{good luck, Rarity is still and always will be best pony}

Multiple smaller storylines that all intermingle into a larger story.
This. It worked for Homestuck, more or less.

Okay, the instructions are a little confusing, so I just want to clarify.
You said we have to use all the traits, but said it could be one character. So how does someone drawing one character use both the, say, Alicorn AND Sphinx?
Unless I'm misunderstanding, I believe it's the opposite, thankfully.
1 hour ago, Lord Valtasar said:You will notice most options have multiple choices, (this / that) you don't have to put both traits of those, rather you can chose any one of them so that we have more variety.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. So if I understand correctly, it could be a Yak Ninja Crying with joy.

{imma chalk it up to "it's Pinkie Pie"}

I don't think so, actually - there's probably been other instances afterwards as well, but I remember Pinkie playing "pin the tail on the pony" with her own tail back in Ticket Master, and her rump is just straight-up round.
So, I'm Blaming Magic™.

Man, I envy people who can travel to visit cons. Or, y'know, other things they enjoy.
{I do not regret skipping out on social media, though, but that's another story}

Does the characteristic above describe you well?

No, unless composed counts.
Forgiving.
