I kind of lost interest in background ponies after around Season 4, but I wouldn't mind seeing them in the spotlight every now and then.

Most likely. Although, it might take a while considering this is a big mainstream feature film and they probably don't want people be like "why should I bother watching it in theaters when it'll just hit Netflix a month later?"

We've seen 5 episodes of Season 7. Two with her has a supporting role, one where she appeared for 3 seconds at the end, one where she didn't appear at all and only ONE where she was the main focus. I think some people are overreacting to how much screen time she's getting this season.

How can you say that when you haven't even SEEN the episode yet? Also, Every Little Thing She Does is the only episode where she ACTUALLY learned that lesson. In S5, she learned not hate cutie marks and individuality and try again to make new friends. She went from enslaving a village to saving equestria from changelings WITHOUT magic. If that isn't growth, than I don't know what is. If you want to continue to be salty and immature by relentlessly shitting on a character and failing to see the good they have done, be my guest.

P.S. Before you ask, calling her "Starlight Gutter" every 2 seconds and hating episodes like "All Bottled Up" JUST because it stars her is why I called you immature.

We're up to episode 16 when it comes to the episode information leaks, if you check out Equestria Daily you can see them. Now here's something that's really bugging me. I know some of them don't have a synopsis yet, but we don't have a single Spike episode yet. We got three for Twilight, two for Pinkie, one for Rainbow, two for AJ, two for Rarity, one for Fluttershy, one for Discord, one for Big Mac, one episode for the princesses incoming, alot for Starlight, one for the entire CMCs, and one for two for Sweetie Belle. Now episodes 6-13, entire first half, no Spike episode. Only Fame and Misfortune, and Campfire Tales are the only ones we have no clue what they're about. Now Campfire Tales is obviously a group episode of some kind. Fame and Misfortune MIGHT be a Spike episode, but no guarantees. It could also be Rarity, Rainbow, or even Trixie! 

I don't want Spike to get the short end of the stick again like in season 5 when it comes to development and the amount of episodes. He's been an AWESOME supporting character this season, but he still needs his fair share of starring roles.

Now I can three possible things in this regard:

1. It's going to be a lame season for him when it comes to the amount of starring roles he's gonna have.

2. His few episodes are going to be one after the other, much like Rarity's trilogy back in season 5.

3. He's going to completely OWN the last few episodes of the season!

I really hope it's three! I can live with two! One... well, then my opinion of the season will drop dramatically. It won't make it the WORST season, cause this season is pretty awesome so far, and already better than 1, 3, and 5 so far! But it would make it just an okay season for me, but I ain't letting it slide, I'll be talking to somebody about it.

I don't know, today with all the information coming out, it made this season super confusing. I'm still confident for the season, but also nervous! He's not gonna be the punching bag anymore, at least which makes me happy, but he's still gotta get developed in some way. Get his fair share. Doesn't have to be a hero though. What do you think of this?

I'm sure he'll get his time in the sun in this season. Maybe he will only get 2 episodes and they'll be in the second half. I really don't see them finally mastering his writing in Season 6, just to start treating him like crap again in Season 7.

Damn. Fluttershy might end up being my new favorite character one of these days. Also, I like that they threw a Starlight cameo in at the end there, that's always an easy way to make me happy.

P.S. BIG DADDY MCCOLT!! Between his appearance here and Maud's flashback where she accidentally helped evil Starlight in the last episode, it really feels like they're having a lot of fun with the surprise factor in this Season.

Please no. As much as I love Starlight, I would only want to see that happen in the series finale. Maybe they could have a time skip epilogue where Twilight and Starlight are ruling equestria in Celestia and Luna's place.

I've always felt deep down that this show would have nine seasons. Plus, we would reach the 200th episode milestone if that happened.

I agree completely. I also hope they remember that Spike was friends with Thorax first. I love Starlight, but I hope they don't make her steal Thorax from him.

Didn't say that, but a lot of people (myself included) wanted to see her friendships with the main cast develop as well, especially since the S5 finale claimed that all 7 of them were her friends.

This is already a better Season than 5 for Spike. S5 was my favorite, but it was easily the worst season for Spike and Discord.

1. Episode 1 was more about Twilight than Starlight. 

2. This episode wasn't completely Starlight centric.

4. What everyone else said; giving her screen time with one of the Mane Six BESIDES Twilight makes her fit in more instead of having her feel cut off from the rest of the main cast.

Maybe they aren't aggressively trying to get people to like her. Maybe people like you are just trying too hard to NOT like her. 

BOOM! Mind blown.

- Mare do well is the only bad episode of the show.

- "28 Pranks Later" is a good episode and played out a lot better than MMDW.

- "Flutterbrutter" is amazing and one of the best episodes of Season 6.

- "Every Little Thing She Does" is a fantastic episode and completely necessary to Starlight's growth and character arc.

- Queen Chrysalis shouldn't return in Season 7. I thought Chrysalis was awesome in the finale of Seasons 2, 5 and 6, but she has overstayed her welcome.

- I don't think "Applejack's day off" paints her as a bad worker, she was just taking too long to do things.

- Season 2 is overrated.

Surprisingly enough, I actually like every Spike episode except for Spike at your service. Equestria games and the Season 6 ones are my favorites.

Season six had two Spike episodes in Gauntlet and Times, and they're easily the best ones to date. While season six had some really questionable and poor execution, Spike had his best season. Aside from one episode (Newbie Dash), he was treated with the most respect out of anyone.

 

Overall, there are four, the others being Inspiration Manifestation and Secret of My Excess.

Starlight, Spike and Fluttershy.

I personally enjoyed it. Even though it had a similar premise to my least favorite episode, I felt like it was done right this time. Not a particularly amazing episode, but still good in my book.

Season 2 is very overrated and kinda boring IMO. I'm one of the very few people who think that Season 3 is better than Season 2 *prepares for the pitchforks and knives.* Seasons 4 and 5 (especially 5) are HANDS DOWN my favorite seasons. Not to mention S2 still has what is BY FAR my least favorite episode and the only episode in the entire show that I actually hate.

Honestly, I used to think that every season was better than the last until Season 6 came along. 6 is still good, but I don't know where I would rank it among the others.

It is wierd to see Trixie and Spike in the same screen. In the past, Spike is the biggest dick to Trixie i hope he still throw some sassy comments about her.

It's probably means that she's going to be Twilight's friend and equal, rather than her student. I always thought of Season 6 as transition period for Starlight. She was a villain in Season 5, she was technically a main character in Season 6, but she only appeared 10 times. Maybe in Season 7, she'll truly be the "Mane 7th" by being friends with and interacting with ALL of the Mane 6 equally, WITHOUT overshadowing them too much.

Season 5.

Amending Fences, The Cutie Re-Mark and Twilight's Kingdom.

What if Twilight takes Starlight through the portal to meet Sunset in one of the specials? And maybe, Sunset will appear in Equestria in Season 7! I know it's a huge stretch, but a man can dream, can't he?

I've never considered this before, but if after 7 seasons, they make it so AJ's parents were alive the whole time, I might have to stop watching this show.
