I actually quite enjoyed this one. My only gripe was that they didn't make as big a deal of RD becomin a wonderbolt as a thought they would. I was found it to be kind of annoying that they brought RD's old "Rainbow crash" nickname back. It was so overused during the first 2 seasons. I thought that Rainbow dash's Mane six impressions where pretty funny though.

I've been wondering that too. I'm sure Rainbow will have enough free time to make time for her friends, or the show's staff wouldn't have made her a wonderbolt until the end of the series.

They've stopped production? Really?!? It's a real shame, I really wanted a Starlight Glimmer vinyl.

Forget about the use of the word "hand," you know what was even more weird? In "A Canterlot wedding part 2" when Twilight was trying to speak with Shining Armor and the fake Cadence interrupted, Twilight said "She sure has a way of sneaking up on people." The word "People" is a whole lot more out of place than "hand."

Rainbow dash and Pinkie Pie are probably the most recognizable.

During the last months of 2015, I became absolutely convinced that Season 6 would be the final season of our beloved show. Now, however, I feel like we could get a Season 7, since Hasbro would've announced by now that thier biggest show is ending. If all goes well, we might even get a Season 8. I guess it's really up to Hasbro, but since MLP is still very popular and makes a lot of money off of toys, I'd say we're good for another season or 2. As for the quality of the show, I think it's still amazing and they could definitely come up with enough ideas to keep the show afloat for the next couple of years.

True, but she seemed to have a "I'm not in the mood for this sh-" attitude from the moment she arrived and didn't see Starlight.

Why was Celestia so grumpy in this episode? I guess she realized that Starlight got her own episode before she did. In all seriousness, I really enjoyed this one. I like how all 3 of the main characters were at fault instead of making Twilight out to be the bad guy like in "What about Discord?" Also, that Big Mac bit was AMAZING!!!

I love the idea of her becoming the Mane 7th. Ive been on board with it ever seen Season 5 ended. TV shows add new characters to the main cast all the time and I think Starlight Glimmer fits in quite well

She's a completely different character now. In the first scene you referred to, she's a controlling, emotionally unstable cult leader. In the second one, she's the Princess of friendship's reformed student.

It's mostly that her tone of voice is less smug.... and especially compared to the S5 finale she's not YELLING HALF OF HER LINES

The whole point of Ember's helmet was to keep her from being recognized. That's why is looked so busy and complicated.

Not quite as good as Season 5 yet, but I'm still enjoying it quite a bit. Usually I scream "BEST SEASON EVER" as soon as it stars, but this one is taking a bit to get there for me. The upcoming episodes sound interesting though. Overall, I just have to give it time.

Really? That's all I've heard about it. It's after season 6 and after the EQG movies, and it's supposedly the end. Not much else they could do after it.

That's speculation. If it was the end, they would've officially confirmed it by now.

BEST SPIKE EPISODE EVER!!!!!!! It's also my favorite episode of Season 6. I'm really loving Princess ember, she's really adorable and awesome at the same time. Equestria will be completely safe under her rule thanks to Spike befriending her.

I figured that they would take a break so the Hearth's Warming episode could air at the end of the year. The thing is, the HW episode has already been confirmed as episode 8. They still could take a break for other reasons though.

 

It is doubtful, unless the entire season is not yet completed. If another Equestria Girls thing gets made, then that could make the likelihood much higher.

 

Equestria Girls has nothing to do with whether or not they end up taking a break. EG is made by a different team.

it also goes very well with the premier.  Both Starlight and Sunburst were trying to figure that out as well.

It could be a mini theme in Season 6. After all, a certain fast rainbow Pegasus is achieving her dream in 3 episodes from now. :3

Figuring out what to do in life after you've reached your goal is a really powerful topic.

- I really sympathize with Applebloom here, being bored, lonely and depressed with nothing to do while your friends are having the time of their lives is something I can relate to all too well.

- We finally get the first song of Season 6 and it's definitely a touching one, I Don't think we've started with a sad song before.

- Incoming shipfics for Applebloom and Tender Taps.

- I like the lesson here. Even the best of friends don't need to do EVERYTHING together. Plus, splitting up from time to time will help them find more ponies to help!

 

So, that was the first CMC episode after they obtained thier marks. I rather enjoyed this one, Honestly, this may have been my favorite episode of S6 so far.

 

P.S. This was the first ever episode without any of the Mane six.

Princess Book Horse's reaction: SUPER LATE EDITION!!!!

- How sweet, we've never had a Pinkie and Rarity episode.

- Also, I love that Rarity's business continues to grow. I always knew that if she got a 3rd boutique,it would be in Manehattin. I hope we get to see it in another episode after its opened.

- Maud's love for her sister is amazing. She even scared a shady businesspony half to death to get Pinkie's party cannon back.

- Did anypony see Suri Polomare in the background?

 

Overall, it was great, it was good to get our first taste of S6 outside of the premier. It was also good to see more of Pinkie and Rarity after they, (along with AJ, Rainbow dash and Fluttershy) took a bit of a side role in the premier.

 

(Rather short reaction this week, I'll have a longer one next time.)

Sunset Shimmer AND Starlight Glimmer are her pupils. Starlight is just in much closer proximity. But Sunset uses the book- Her OLD Mentor's book, to reach Twi for friendship advice. Sun Burst being a royal sister's former student, with more book smart than magic application seemed too much like foreshadowing to Sunset Shimmer, who was a former student with more magic application than book smart, to be coincidence. And, if Sunbutt can have many students at once, so can Twi. She showed that, teaching the CMC.

Starlight Glimmer is Twilight's only student. Twilight left Sunset Shimmer at CHS to learn about friendship by becoming friends with the Mane 5. Meawhile, Twilight literally took Starlight up as a student and she's giving her lessons and letting Starlight live her. Sunset only looks to Twi for advice, it's totally different.

SEASON SIX IS HERE!!!!

 

 

- Starlights first task: Finding her way around Twilight's castle.

- Real talk: I think it's great that Starlight is living with Twilight and Spike. They're further hinting at Starlight being a full-fledged main character. (Which means my prediction was correct!)

- Josh Haber as story editor? YES!! I loved his work on Friendship Games and the S5 finale.

- That story telling vase looks amazing, it's a nice alternative to using a book to explain the crystalling.

- Twilight and Starlight stalking the CMC while they help a pony figure out what makes them special? That would be interesting. #I'dTotallyWatchIt

- Also, I love how they showed Spike flexing his muscles in front of a mirror. It's a nice callback to Party of One.

- Silly AppleJack, Flurry Heart can't fit in that cradle, her wings are too big.

- Gee Shining Armor, you seem a bit.......... off. Did you do something with your mane?

- It's nice to see that the crystal ponies still regard spike as a famous hero.

- Does this mean Celestia and Luna weren't born as Alicorns? Or do they simply mean that equestria has never seen the birth of an Alicorn because the sisters pre-date Equestria?

- Is Sunburst really an important wizard? I'm not a psychic, but I think he's hiding something.

- The baby shattered the crystal heart!! Welp..... Does anypony have some super glue?

- Good luck busting THOSE clouds Rainbow dash.

- Meanwhile, Spike is practicing his scroll wrangling skills.

- Wow! Princess Celestia is actually doing something!!

- Tough crowd. They're kind of acting like Manehattin ponies.

- Twlight, if there was ever a good time to protect a book, now would be that time.

- Starlight tells Sunburst about what she did during S5 and all he cares about is the fact that she mastered time travel..... lol.

- So Sunburst knows a lot of spells, but he can't actually perform them.

- "Best Crystalling ever!"

- Twlight and Shining's parents finally spoke!! *crosses that off my bingo sheet.*

- Starlight went back with the mane 6 instead of staying with Sunburst. This even further hints at her overall importance to the show.

 

Overall, it was great. It's truly beautiful to see how far Twilight has come, going from Celestia's student to having a pupil of her own. I also particularly loved Starlight's writing and Spike's writing too! Just like in the S5 finale, they handled him perfectly. See y'all next week, for another glorious S6 episode!
