Okay so recently I had been really wanting to play Silent Hill 3(probably due to Heather/Cheryl being in Dead By Daylight) again so I ended up buying this collection on the Xbox One since it's Backwards Compatible. I wasn't really familiar with how bad these ports of the game were when they released. I just assumed most of the HD remasters on the PS3/360 were good. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with these games. I am not really going to go into specific details about these games as you can just look up videos about it on YouTube if you are really interested. It's a shame because I think these games deserved better. Anyway, that being said, having played some of Silent Hill 3, I didn't think it was all that bad. Although to be fair, I literally haven't played this game in years(when I last owned a PS2) so it would be hard for me point out differences to the original PS2 game unless you showed them to me running side by side. Although when you are actually in the town of Silent Hill, the way the fog is rendered seems very off. This is probably one of the most noticeable differences in the game alongside the new dub. It would have been nice had they kept the original dub like they did with Silent Hill 2. In my opinion, the 360 version of SH3 seems to run better than the PS3 version which has an uncapped framerate. Although, I do think the PS3 version got a patch that the 360 port didn't receive. I don't know if that fixed that problem or not. All in all, I do think the port of Silent HIll 3 is serviceable, but if you have the original game on PS2, you probably better off experiencing the game that way.

So, I think Microsoft has been dropping the ball lately. First, with their Gameplay Showcase and later with their Games Showcase. Halo Infinite did not look great and now it has been delayed. I think it's the right move. Obviously, losing Halo Infinite as a Series X launch title is bad, but I would rather a have a good quality game then have it be broken at launch like Halo the Master Chief Collection. I don't know what is going to be available at launch for the system, but there it does not seem to be much else there. Recently, there has been a rumor regarding the cost of the Series X from the Monster Energy Drink Series X give away. They calculated the cost of the Series X and apparently it's going to be $599 which I have a hard time believing considering how disastrous that price point was for Sony with the PS3. I just can't see it costing more than $499 at the most, but who knows, I could be wrong. If the 599 price tag ends up being true, Microsoft is going to have a hard time selling the console. Regardless of the price, I think the PS5 is going to outsell the Series X for sure. That being said, I wonder how this will play out in the long term. Microsoft no longer sees Xbox as simply as a box to play video games. They want to people to be able to play their games everywhere, not just on their system. Seeing as they're the only ones trying to push things forward in regards to video game streaming. Don't get me wrong I know Playstation has PSNow, but I don't think it is as ambitious as what Microsoft is trying to accomplish. I guess we will see what happens.

So I am probably going to sound a bit jaded here, but I wasn't really blown away or surprised about any of the games they showed today. However, the games they did show looked solid. Some of the games shown were kind of predictable. Like State of Decay 3, Forza Motorsport 8?, etc., I kind of wish they would have shown some actual gameplay for Hellblade 2. For all the talk about the Xbox's power, they didn't really show any game that I would say really showed it off. Halo and Forza look nice though, but nothing that made me say this is truly next-gen stuff. I would give their presentation an 8 out of 10. Good games, but nothing really stood out to me personally.

After watching the PS5 reveal, I have to say I am impressed with Sony. As someone who mainly plays video games on Xbox One, I am definitely considering switching to PlayStation next gen. However, for me, one of the biggest factors is going to be the price. If the PS5 is cheaper than the Xbox One than I will switch. I really think it is going to be an uphill battle for Microsoft next gen to compete with Sony in terms of their first party games. Not only that, but Sony is riding off the momentum of the PS4. As a gamer, I want to see Xbox do well, but they really need to deliver in terms of their first party games. They need to show more than just Forza, Gears, and Halo. Don't get me wrong I love Gears and I want to play 6, but I need more than that if they want me to stick around. Having powerful hardware is great, but they need good first party games as well. Hopefully, all the studios they acquired are able to deliver. I do think Game Pass is going to be a big factor next gen especially if they are able to deliver in terms of their first party studios. I wouldn't count Microsoft out just yet, but yeah, it is going to be tough for them. Honestly, you can never really predict the video game industry. Hell, look at Nintendo with the Wii U. It flopped hard yet they managed to bounced back with the Switch. Obviously, I am not expecting that turnaround, but I do hope Microsoft makes it more competitive than it was last gen. Competition is always a good thing for gamers.

So, I don't usually spend $60 on games...if I do I usually sell other games to lower the price(I know it's not the best route to go, but to each their own). This is like the second game I have purchased full price on the Xbox One and I was kind of disappointed that Dead or Alive 6 Core Fighters was released two weeks after the game launched. I knew the free to play version was coming, but the developer didn't give a concrete release date of when when he was asked during an interview. I assumed that it would be some time later in the year and not two weeks after it launched. Honestly, if I had known that, I would not have bought the game as I mainly enjoy playing fighting games online(which is offered in the free to play version as well as some of the single player content like arcade mode). I even vented to one of the clubs on Xbox Live about it and they actually deleted my post. Am I wrong to be upset over that? I am guessing the game did not meet sales expectations, but still, I don't think that is an excuse to not be more open with your consumers about their game. I think it was a crappy move on their part. I guess it's my own fault though...oh well.

So this was a fanfic I started writing a long time ago and I just never got around to finishing it(or getting very far for that matter). The main characters are the CMC. I basically wanted it to be about them finding some type of magical waterfall that transforms the CMC into their future selves(I would love to see an actual episode like this is in the series). The twist was going to be that there "future selves" were not really their future selves, but idealized versions of their selves. So, Scootaloo for example, would be able to fly even though she would not have actually been able to. Anyway, this is as far as I went with it.
    -----
It was a scorching hot summer day in Ponyville and the Cutie Mark Crusaders were seeking shelter from the heat in their clubhouse. They lay on the wooden floor of the clubhouse sweating and looking miserable until finally Sweetie Belle spoke.
“It’s so hot! There’s got to be something we can do to get some relief from this heat.”
“I know! Why don’t we go to the lake,” said Applebloom.
“Great idea,” Scootaloo said jumping up enthusiastically.
“Alright then, let’s grab our things and meet up at the lake.”
They parted ways from the clubhouse to retrieve the things they needed for the lake. When they arrived at the lake, it was full of other ponies, including Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight. All of them waved at them from the water except Rainbow Dash who was lazily drifting in the water.
Of course, everyone in Ponyville would be here, Applebloom thought to herself. She frowned.
They trotted over to them and said their hellos.
“It sure is a scorcher,” said Applejack.
“Yeah, no kidding,” replied Applebloom. “There is hardly any room for us in here.”
“Sure there is, right here next to your big sis,” Applejack said motioning her hoof right beside her.
Applebloom frowned and made her way towards the spot where Applejack had pointed. The water felt cool on her warm fur. She sunk down into the water until only her eyes were visible.
“Sweetie Belle, did you remember to bring sunscreen?” asked Rarity.
“Yes Rarity,” Sweetie Belle said in a sarcastic tone while rolling her eyes.
Sweetie Belle quickly put the sunscreen on and attempted to rush into the water. Rarity used her magic to keep her on the shore and made her way out of the water.
“Hold on Sweetie Belle, let me make sure you didn’t miss a spot.”
Rarity used her magic to apply the sunscreen all over Sweetie Belle until she was blinding to look at.
“Okay, I’m good now, right?” asked Sweetie Belle looking rather annoyed.
Rarity nodded and they made their way back into the lake together. Scootaloo laughed and Sweetie Belle stuck her tongue out at her.
Rainbow Dash was floating in the water on her back wearing her trademarked black sunglasses oblivious to what was going on around her. Scootaloo entered the lake and stealthily swam up to Rainbow Dash until she was right next to her. At which point she rose up at of the water and used her wings to jump right on top of Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo both sank into the water like stones. When they reemerged Rainbow Dash looked furious at Scootaloo who was now wearing her sunglasses. Scootaloo laughed.
“Scoota-!” Rainbow Dash said angrily, half choking on the water she had swallowed.
The other ponies laughed. Rainbow Dash sighed and smiled. She rubbed her hoof on Scootaloo’s head and said “Good one Scootaloo.”
Scootaloo handed Rainbow Dash her sunglasses back. She attempted to wipe the water away and put them back on. She floated for awhile before bumping into another pony.
    “Sorry, about that.”
“Wow, it seems like all of Ponyville is here,” said Scootaloo.
“Yeah, no kidding,” Rainbow Dash replied, sounding rather annoyed.

So, yesterday, my shift texts me and asks about me putting in my two weeks. I will be honest, I am not very close to many people at work, but he's one of the few people I wanted to tell myself. I am guessing my manager ended up telling the shifts. So, anyway, the reality of the situation is starting to sink in. I have two more days of work and that's it. I find myself thinking of whether I was right to leave. I didn't take the decision lightly and tried to think about it as hard as I could. I try not to make decisions when I am angry(which I was when I met with my manager on Friday), but at this point I just think I would have been delaying the inevitable if I stayed. He said he would continue to write me up if he didn't see the change in my demeanor he wanted. I put up with a lot over the years and considered quitting many times. For me this was just it. I am stubborn and stuck in my ways. Although, I didn't exactly love my job, it makes me sad to go. It's the only job I have known for the past seven years. Everyone I have worked with over the years is gone now. All but my shift who started around the same time I did(He later joined the Navy and then returned). I am sure everything will be okay though. I just have to have faith in myself and hopefully, I will find something better.

I think I am going to go through with it and quit my job. I would rather do it on my own terms then end up being fired. Honestly, I don't know how I even got the job in the first place. I am like the complete opposite of everyone who works at Starbucks. It's been time for me to move on for long time. So, I now I have to search for a new job. I have never felt more lost than I do at this moment. I have no idea where to begin. Wish me luck.

So, the Babymetal concert was on Friday and I just wanted to talk about a little bit about my experience. I got there at around 7. From the moment I got there, I did nothing but stand. My legs were killing me by the time I left. There was a line to get into the venue and then a line to buy merch(I bought a t-shirt). Afterwards, I stepped inside and tried to find a good spot to stand. I was kind of disappointed with how small the venue was. I think there were too many people there. I think they might have benefited from having it at a larger venue. Anyway, the opening band comes on(some metal band called Skyharbor). Babymetal came on at around 9:16pm. The playlist consisted of the following: In the Name of, Distortion, two new songs(Elevator Girl and ?), Akatsuki, Megitsune, Gimme Chocolate, GJ!, Karate, Road of Resistance, and The One. It was kind of short. About an hour. There were no encores. All in all it was a pretty cool experience. For those who are interested, Yui was not there(They had two back-up dancers to take her place). A lot of people started speculating that she was no longer in the group, but the label assured fans she still is a part of the group. I think there explanation was that they are going to start rotating members or something like that.

So, there is a rumor going around that Nier Automata is going to be released on the Xbox One. If so, that’s really exciting news for Xbox gamers. There aren’t many Japanese games on the One, so this game would definitely make a lot of fans happy as it was one of the most highly rated games of last year. I am hoping if it does get a release, they make an enhanced version for the X. Square-Enix did an awesome job with Rise of the Tomb Raider and I would love to see this game get the same treatment.
I probably shouldn’t get ahead of myself though because it is just a rumor. Nothing has been confirmed...but yeah, definitely exciting if it turns out to be true.

So, I decided to go ahead and buy a ticket to the Babymetal concert because yolo. Seriously, it’s not like I go to concerts very often and how many chances will I have to see this group. I just didn’t want it to be like last time when I wanted to see Arch Enemy(another band that doesn't tour in the U.S. often) and ended up not going. I just realized that this is my first “metal” concert and I have no idea what to expect. I just hope it’s as awesome as I have heard their concerts are.

So, I am not really a huge fan of Babymetal or anything, but recently listened to the song “Karate” and instantly fell in love with it. I have heard some of their other songs, but they didn’t hook me the way this song did. I just recently found out that they are coming to Dallas in May. I think it would be really cool to see them live, but tickets are kind of pricey at $90. So, my question is has anyone seen them live and do you think it was worth it? The weeb in me is saying “Do it!,” but the cheapskate in me is saying “No, that’s too much.” It would also be nice to go out. I feel like I rarely go anywhere these days.

I decided to spend some of my tax refund and buy an Xbox One X. I am happy with it despite not being able to take full advantage of what the console offers due to me not having a 4K TV. I have tried a lot of the games that are enhanced and I have to say that I like being able to have the option between the performance and resolution. Given most of the time I have to choose performance because I have no 4K TV. Games like Rise of the Tomb Raider run noticeably smoother as do games that are not enhanced. For example, I play a lot of Dead by Daylight and the frame rate can be kind of jittery on the base Xbox One, but on the X it runs much smoother. All in all I am satisfied with it.
So, I am looking to sell my old Xbox One, but I am not really sure how much to sell it for. A store around where I live will pay $100, but I am wondering if it is worth it to try and see if I can get more.

So, in the past month there have been interesting leaks and rumors regarding Microsoft and Xbox. One was a leak of games either being released or announced for 2018 which was leaked by someone who's predictions have been accurate in the past. Other then what we already know about the games being released in 2018, he referenced Forza Horizon 4(not surprising, I know), a new Fable game, a new Perfect Dark game, Age of Empires 4, a reference to a game that could either be Mech Assault/Mech Warrior, and new games for Conker, Banjo, and Crimson Skies. So, nothing too surprising there, but it's definitely great to know there are things in the works.
Another big announcement was that all future Microsoft first party titles will be released on Game Pass the same day as it hits stores starting with Sea of Thieves. I have tried Game Pass and I thought it was okay. I think it is great for someone who just recently bought Xbox and doesn't have many games for it. However, I do think this announcement really changes things. Being able to play a game like Sea of Thieves for $9.99 as opposed to the $59.99 games retail sounds pretty awesome.
The final rumor was that Microsoft was looking to buy either EA, Valve, or Bluehole(PUBG developer). I personally don't see them buying EA as EA makes their money through being a multi-platform publisher and making EA's games exclusive to the XBox would hurt rather than help them. However, I do see one other possibility here. Seeing as EA Access is only on Xbox One, I could see Microsoft signing a deal with EA to allow their games to be put onto Game Pass. I think this would be a big deal and further strengthen the value of MS's Game Pass. Microsoft has the money to make this happen so it is not outside the realm of possibility. In my opinion, this seems like the most likely scenario. Microsoft buying Valve seems pretty unlikely, but they have shown interest in PC gaming so there is that. Imagine if Microsoft bought Valve and owned Steam though? It would actually be pretty hilarious considering how much PC gamers hate Microsoft. Anyway, I don't have much to say about Bluehole as I really do not know much about them.

I know this is a MLP forum, but I never actually discuss the show on my blog. I didn't actually watch the movie when it was out in theaters. I meant to, but I just couldn't bring myself to go to the movie theater. I waited too long and eventually it wasn't being shown anymore. I kind of regret now as I think it would have been cool to see it on the big screen. So anyway, I rented the film on Tuesday. I did really like it. I am thinking about buying the film because I think it's actually something I would want to watch again. Tempest Shadow was my favorite character in the film. I liked the animation in the movie and it kind makes me wish the show always looked like this(Not that there is anything wrong with the flash animation, it's just...yeah). It also made me realize who my favorite character is(I always have a hard time saying who my favorite pony is...to be honest, I kind of like them all). I think my favorite song and scene in the movie was this one:

So, yesterday was Capcom Cup 2017 and it was really exciting. I think Tokido with his Akuma was definitely the favorite to win the tournament, but I think people totally slept on Mena RD and his Birdie. He ended up winning the tournament. Tokido just couldn’t come up with an answer for his Birdie.
And after that, Capcom revealed the new character. Everyone already knew what character it was going to be based on the hints they had given, but it was still exciting to finally see Sakura in the game. They also showed the other characters coming to the game which includes Blanka, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat.
I am definitely excited for Arcade Edition because I am hoping it brings more players to the game. It’s definitely a good point to jump into the game if any one has been thinking about it. Ranks are going to be reset and the meta will probably change due to nerfs and buffs.

This might come off as a jumbled mess, but I just need to get it out there. So, I feel like I obsess over buying video games(not playing them, but buying them). Like I will literally spend time looking at the games I want to buy. I kind of feel like a junky searching for something that’s going to bring back the feeling I had when I first started playing video games. When I have the games, I just find myself bored with them. No, I am not addicted to playing video games. Honestly, I can’t sit and down and play more than an hour or two without getting bored. I feel like I am always on the edge of being burnt out when it comes to gaming. I get that no matter how much a person a enjoys something they will always experience burn out. I also feel like I am not truly dealing with the problems in my life because all I ever seem to think about is video games. I am just kind of sick of it.

So, the Xbox One X is being released tomorrow. There have been a ton of reviews on it already and they generally seem to be pretty positive, so that’s good for them. Although, I am not buying one myself, I am curious about whether the console will be readily available to purchase for someone who didn’t pre-order it. Microsoft warned there might be shortages of the console. I don’t know whether or not that was only in the UK or if that was the US as well. I personally can’t justify buying one right now. It’s much too expensive for me and I would not be getting the full benefit of the system since I do not have a 4K television(and won’t be buying one any time soon). I think I am good with my OG Xbox One for now. It’ll be interesting to see how well the console sells. I am thinking it’s going to sell more than the PS4 Pro, but I guess we’ll see.

Role-playing games are a genre of video games I have never really been able to get into(trust me...I have tried). That goes for both Western and Japanese RPGs. I can literally count on my hands the number of RPGs I have played and beaten over the years. Anyway, let's get started.
    1. Super Mario RPG - I remember playing this game for the first time and being really confused by the gameplay. I think this was my first time experiencing a RPG.
    2. Pokemon Blue - Believe it or not, this is one of the only Pokemon games I have ever beaten. I played the heck out of this game. To this day I have never felt any interest in playing a Pokemon game ever again.
    3. Grandia 2 - I remember playing this game on the Dreamcast. Definitely, one of my favorite RPGs. Although, the story itself is pretty average the battle system is where this game really shines. I have played it twice; once on the Dreamcast and then later on the PS2(it's worth noting that the PS2 port is pretty terrible). It was released on Steam awhile back if you are interested in checking it out.
    4. Final Fantasy X/X-2 - I am actually kind of surprised I beat both of these games. I probably wouldn't ever play these game ever again.
    5. Jeanne D'arc - I think this was one of the best games I played on the PSP. People would probably argue that Final Fantasy Tactics is the better game, but I liked how simple the game was to get into.
An honorable mention goes to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath. Those games were both a lot of fun as well. They play a lot like Diablo 3 if you have never played them before.

So today is the brony meeting I wanted to go to. I'm nervous about going, but I still want to go. I don't like that it is more than a 30 minute drive from where I live. I'm not used to driving so far...I know it's not really that far, but it seems far to me. Everything seems far to me though because I almost never leave the city I live in. Well, we will see how it goes, I guess.
    Update:
So, I did end up going to the meeting after all. It would have been easy for me to back out, but I'm proud myself for going if nothing else. We met up at a place called Potbellys which I had never been to before. I ended up buying a sandwich even though I wasn't that hungry. The members seemed pretty nice, so that was good. There weren't too many awkward moments for me. Being new there, I kind of wish they would have asked me who my favorite pony was though as I was thinking about my answer would be all day(I probably would have said Twilight, Rarity, or Fluttershy). After the sandwich shop, we headed out to a comic book shop where the meeting would be held. After talking for a bit, we then played a game called Bring Your Own Book using MLP books or comics. All in all, it was a positive experience. It was neat meeting other bronies outside of the internet, but it sort of confirmed that maybe I am not as big fan of MLP as other people who like the show.
I think it would be kind of cool to start my own club. I feel like the areas(the mid-cities) in between Dallas and Fort-Worth are kind of neglected when it comes to clubs and groups that are located in the area. Of course, this is me just thinking out aloud. I probably wouldn't be able to start up something like that anyway.

So I am seriously considering selling my Xbox One to buy a PlayStation 4. However, I keep telling myself I shouldn't because of the money I have put into it. I don't have many physical copies of games. In fact, I own about 4 games right now. I also own some digital games, including The Witcher 3 and Gears of War 4. I also have some accessories I have purchased, including a Turtle Beach X One headset. And finally, I still have about 5 months left of Xbox Live.

Okay, so my reasons for wanting a PS4 are as follows; more games I am interested in playing. There isn't much that I am interested in playing on the Xbox One this year. The game I most wanted to play on the One has been already released and even if I sell the One, I would still be able to play it on PC. I like fighting games and there are more of them on the PS4 than the One. Also, Street Fighter V. I mean I own it on the PC, but I imagine there are more people playing on PS4 than PC. I would love to be able to play it in my room without having to go to the computer. Another reason is I own both a PS3 and a Vita, so PS Plus would be more than worth it for me.

Decisions, decisions. So, would you sell it or just keep it if you were me?

I actually don't remember when I first watched the series. I do remember that I was sick in bed looking for something to watch on Netflix. I decided to watch a few episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I have to say that I wasn't immediately interested in the series when I first saw it. I went into the series without much background information. In fact, I remember thinking Rainbow Dash was a boy, but I later realized all of the Mane 6 were girls. I think it was her voice that kind of throw me off and the fact that she was blue. Anyway, I stopped watching the series after the first three episodes. I didn't hate the series, but I wasn't interested in watching anymore. It wasn't until last year that I decided to pick up the series again. Re-watching the first three episodes, I found them more enjoyable than when I watched them the first time.

The new update that includes Urien is out(Actually it was out yesterday, but I didn't download it). I'm going to give it a go right now and check out the new changes. I'm curious as to how Urien is going to match up against Cammy. I would like to try him out, but I haven't earned enough fight money to purchase him.

By the way, does any one on these forums play Street Fighter V?
