    Maybe, EQG did draw me into the show before I started MLP... I thought EQG was just created to bronies can see their favorite ponies in s3xy clothes and high school settings...

    I thought the show was first canon, and then the toyline, but maybe there will be three more alicorns in the future??? Maybe Celestia and Luna's parents or maybe more alicorn foals like Flurry Heart...

    Spitfire is my favorite character, I like her personality... Starlight Glimmer is my second favorite, after her redemption. I like her because the way a past experience changed her and caused her to go 'totally evil' and post redemption personality

    Nightmare moon isn't necessarily a bad ruler. I think that with Celestia exiled to the moon, she is more content, and the ponies don't exactly seem unhappy. Maybe eternal night isn't as bad as it seems

    Maybe it does determine preferred race? My favorites in order- Spitfire Starlight Glimmer Fluttershy Twilight Rainbow Dash My favorite type of pony is pegasus, followed by unicorn. Three of my favorite characters are pegasi, one is a unicorn, and one is an alicorn. I don't think my favorite characters determine preferred race, and maybe abilities and stuff determine preferred race.

    Rainbow Dash used to be my favorite, because I thought she was 'cool' and because someone who used to be my friend really liked her so... Currently, my favorite character is Spitfire. My second favorite was Twilight, but after Starlight's redemption Starlight Glimmer is my second favorite.
