    @@The Pixelated Pony, Suddenly, the entire assembly floor came to life around Gadget. All the various machines started working again, as well as some of the robots. He noticed a few of the maintenance bots, and he figured that he might be able to get what he needed from one of them.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget had no choice but to look around the assembly floor for what he needed. Now that he saw how Fire acted in a combat situation, he was wondering if he would ever get so much as a glance from Redwood. Maybe he had a crush on her because he aspired to be like her.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, The protectron' brain was a big enough target, so Gadget was able to shoot it fairly easily. "What do you mean you don't have a gun?!" he said as he walked over and extended his hoof out to Fire. "You're a guard for god's sake! Shouldn't you, I dunno, be armed or something?!"

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "For fuck's sake, use your gun!" said Gadget. "You're never gonna get on Echo Squad, let alone catch the commander's attention if you fight like that!" He wasn't faring too much better. Most of his shots missed, but at least Gadget didn't try to punch the protectron.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget took cover and began shooting back, but his aim was unfortunately not the best. "Fire, now's your chance to earn that good word!" Fighting had never really been Gadget's strong suit, and now he wished that he had spent a little more time in the firing range.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "C'mon, let's head inside. While I could always use some spare parts, we're here to find a repair robot," said Gadget. As he carefully opened the door to the facility, he drew his laser pistol in case there were any hostile robots, or even raiders camping out here.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "I know, right? She's so amazing, and I'm so lucky to have her," smiled Gadget. After a little more driving, they finally got to the robotics facility that Fire had told him about. "Well, this is our stop. Remember, we're looking for a repair robot, and it needs to have most of its brain intact. We might also be able to find the stuff we need in a terminal."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "All of them," said Gadget before he took the one Flame had taken from his pocket. "Especially this one. You can have any other photo except for this one." He still couldn't believe that Riley had done all of this. Where did she even find the time to do it or a working camera?

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget pulled over and took a look at the surprisingly large number of photos that Riley had put in the glove box. He was simply in awe, and all he could do was stare at them. "Oh my god... Flame, you can't tell Riley that you found these. She might get angry at you."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget's jaw dropped at the stunning photo of Riley. He was left a bit speechless at how amazing it was. "Wow," he said quietly, before realizing that he was about to crash into the wreck of a car and swerving to avoid it. "That's the best fucking photo I've ever seen."

Again, Riley's good word might get you assigned something better than an entry level position, and there's a decent chance your squad is gonna end up running a mission with Echo Squad. If you really stand out, the commander is gonna notice for sure."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Well, the commander swings by every now and then for an inspection, and I think she's coming in just a few days. If Riley puts in a good word, then there's a decent chance you'll get transferred to the ship, but from there you gotta prove yourself to the commander."

If you do a good job on this and I tell Riley that you've got some skills, she might just put in a good word for you," said Gadget. "The commander only takes the best, so even if Riley put in a good word, you'd have to be on top of your game."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "I don't think Echo Squad is gonna kill you or anything if they found out you got a thing for the commander. I mean, they are her personal team and everything, but y'know... " said Gadget, half joking. "Hey, why don't you try and land a spot on Echo Squad? It would get you closer to the commander."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Uh, you?" said Gadget, seeing right through Fire's poorly told lie. "It's cool, I had no idea what to do with myself when I first met Riely." He knew exactly how Fire was feeling, because he felt the same way about Riley just a few short months ago. Even if he claimed to not like Redwood, it was a bit obvious.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Yeah, it always pisses me off that Riley gets so much mistrust. Sure, she's screwed up a couple times, but she never had ill intent," said Gadget. "And I guess commander Redwood likes to run a bit of a tight ship. You actually seem a little bit interested in her."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Oh, well that's actually what you're helping me out with. Riley's building the medical robot in the lower levels so she doesn't get disturbed or anything. It's really nothing to be suspicious about, I promise. And what do you mean that Echo squad is too well trained?"

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "I guess you gotta be tough and take charge like that for a leadership role like the one the commander has. Still, she makes a point of being in the action as much as she can. Have you ever seen Echo squad? They were personally trained by her, and they're the best team in the armed section."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget couldn't help but smile at the pictures of him Riley had before he started the truck. "The commander can actually be kinda scary though. She's so... intimidating sometimes. I've heard of alpha males before, but if there was ever an alpha female, that would be the commander."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget got in the driver's seat and said, "Oh man, commander Redwood has to be one of the toughest ponies I've ever met. She said she's from the NCR out west, and she used to be Ranger for their military, and I heard that NCR rangers are some of the best soldiers in the wasteland."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Pleased to meet you too," said Gadget as he walked to the garage. "Y'know, you sound just like commander Redwood. I've spent a little time around her, and she's always trying to get things done." His concern about wasting daylight especially reminded Gadget of when they were out on the road together.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Yeah, I got spare set of keys," said Gadget as he held them up. "Oh, and thanks for helping us out like this. What's your name by the way?" It seemed like a stroke of luck that the first guard he had asked was willing to help. Gadget was sure that it would take a few tries to get somepony to agree to it.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Yeah, I'm kinda her boyfriend, and her name is Riley. Anyways, we're trying to get a medical robot running for when she gives birth and also to help out with the child, but I'm missing a few things. I need the subroutines from a repair robot to recognize Riley's mechanical parts, but I need some help finding a robot like that."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget blushed a little as he left, eager to help out Riley. He wandered around the halls for a few minutes before stopping at the cafeteria and going over to a guard who was eating lunch. "Uh, excuse me, can you lend me a hoof with something?" Gadget asked.
