    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood took the bottle from Fire, thanked him, and took a large swig. She then set the drawings she had picked up on his desk and said, "Yer certainly a prolific artist. Anyways, th' caravan movin' out to th' ship leaves in fifteen minutes, so ah'd suggest y'all get ready."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood easily pushed Fire off of her and took a look at the various drawings he had done. He was a surprisingly good artist, despite what he was drawing. Redwood wasn't sure why she of all the mares in the Gator Teeth was Fire's object of affection, or maybe it was desire in this case.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood gave him a hard shove and pushed Fire back into his desk. "Take as many looks as y'all want, but we got a problem if y'all touch without mah permission. Now, ah woulda normally broken yer arm, but yer drunk, and it's pretty damn obvious that y'all can't hold yer liquor."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "First, calm down. Second, does mah ass really look that nice?" For some reason, this whole situation seemed amusing to Redwood. She really didn't care about getting stared at, or in this case drawn, as long as nopony touched her without her permission. Still, it worried her that this might affect how Fire did his job.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood looked at the picture and couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Ah ain't had to bend that way since ah was back in Vegas." Now it became clear why Fire was so clumsy and couldn't keep his cool when he was around her, and Redwood actually found it to be a little flattering.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood helped Fire up then took a swig from the bottle even bigger than his. "This ain't even th' strong stuff. Anyways, what was that y'all were hidin' on yer desk?" The first thing that Fire would need to learn would be how to be a little less clumsy and also how to keep his cool a little better.

Th' weapons specialist spot on Delta team just opened, and seein' as how y'all know yer way around a workbench, ah figured ah'd transfer y'all over to th' ship so y'all can fill th' position. And by th' way, what did y'all just cover up?"

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Ah'll leave y'all to figure that out. Ah gotta go now," said Redwood before she left to go tell Fire that he was getting transferred. She went back to his room and knocked on the door, even though she could have just entered anyways. Fire would need some work, but he definitely had potential.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Fire does seem to know a thing or two about guns, and th' last weapons specialist kinda got stabbed, so ah guess ah could use him," said Redwood. "Oh, and one last thing..." She went up to Riley and gave her a hug. "It was good to see y'all again, Riley." "What about me?" asked Gadget, feeling a little left out. "Yeah, y'all too," chuckled Redwood.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget kissed Riley and said, "I knew it would work." Just then, Redwood walked back in and said, "Riley, Gadget, there are a couple extra spots on th' ship that ah need to fill. Got any recommendations?" While there were plenty of soldiers who got assigned to the ship straight off, Redwood needed a little more than just a few grunts.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Of course I did. I got all the subroutines copied down onto a holotape." Gadget sat at the terminal and popped the holotape in, then tapped a few keys. "Okay, I uploaded the maintenance subroutines onto the medical robot, so it should recognize your mechanical parts."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Well, I think his heart's in the right place. He's just kinda... clumsy, I guess. Anyways, how's the medical robot? Almost ready?" Gadget really did think Fire was a good stallion. He was just a bit careless sometimes, though he did owe him his life. Even if Riley didn't put in a good word, Gadger did.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Yeah, I guess you got a point there," said Gadget as he started getting the medical robot together. "But, I probably wouldn't have been able to get the parts from that maintenance robot without him. Plus, he also kinda saved my life." Maybe Riley didn't think Fire deserved it, but Gadget owed him.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, @@Dapper Charmer, Ballpoint got off of the bed and said, "Yo, can we just get to this club already? Making it rain is on my bucket list, and I want it off by noon." She was starting to get a little impatient, plus it seemed like a good idea to get Mist and Sparkle to focus on something else.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Hey, Riley, can you do me a favor and put in a good word for Fire with Redwood?" asked Gadget. "Just enough so that he can get a transfer to the ship." Back in the armory, Redwood was polishing her shotgun and giving it a tune up, making sure it was in top condition.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Fire was stubborn and wouldn't be convinced otherwise, and Redwood supposed that was admirable in its own right. After all, she was the same way. There was definitely some potential in Fire, and whith that right training and some guidance, he could really turn out to be something.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "If y'all manage to end up hurtin' me, then that just means yer even better than Gadget said y'all were. Aside from that, hesitation like that can be th' difference between a comin' home and gettin' a bullet in yer head. Y'know, if ah told anypony on Echo Squad to hit me, they'd say, 'how hard?'"

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood was a bit disappointed by Fire's response. "If Gadget says yer so great at unarmed combat, then ah need some proof. If y'all can land a hit on me, then that's all th' proof ah need." Hesitation like that could mean the difference between life and death out in the field.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Hit me," said Redwood bluntly. This test wasn't just to see how skilled Fire was at unarmed combat. It was also meant to test his willpower and what he was willing to do. Being the commander of the Gator Teeth, many would hesitate to hit Redwood despite her saying to do it, and she wanted to see if Fire would have that same hesitation.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Uh huh... so, Gadget says that y'all somehow managed to get him out that robot factory unarmed. Care to give me a demonstration of her skills?" asked Redwood. Considering how Fire had acted clumsy before, she had the feeling that Gadget was talking him up a bit.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood walked over and observed Fire work on his combat rifle. "Y'know, a compensator or a better stock might be a good idea," she suggested. "Y'know, it's not very often that ah see a soldier like y'all who really knows their way around a gun. Sure, they can aim, shoot, and reload, but not too many know how to really work with 'em."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "A .45 combat rifle is a good choice, if ah do say so mahself. It's a pretty versatile weapon, and it can fill a lot of different roles with th' right mods. If yer goin' with automatic though, remember to bring plenty of ammo, or maybe stick an extended mag on it."

"We happened to run across th' good fortune of findin' a good arms dealer who was sympathetic to us, so we're pretty well stocked. Go ahead and take yer pick, but remember not to get too greedy."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "If th' only thing y'all want is another gun, then just follow me," said Redwood, a bit surprised by how simple Fire's problem was. She didn't see why Fire needed the truck to get a new gun since Vault 222's armory was fully stocked. All Fire would have really needed to do was ask the quartermaster.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "I got a truck, but it's kinda at the ship," said Gadget. "Hold on, what's this idea that y'all need Riley's truck for?" said Redwood. Considering how he taken those photos and acted sort of clumsy, she wasn't one hundred percent sure that Fire's idea would be a good one.
