Reprogramming a robot like this was tricky business, and Gadget very much didn't want to do something wrong, considering the last time a medical bot 'examined' Riley.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Okay, I think I can work with that. Maybe I could just disable its subroutines until the only ones remaining are for aiding the parts of you that are biological," suggested Gadget. Since he had never really met a synth before, he wasn't entirely sure how to go about this.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Well, I know a thing or two about neur-computational matrices," said Gadget as he sat down next to Riley and examined the medical robot. "Redwood's been having me wire up some protectrons and Mr. Gutsies, so I've been getting a lot of practice with this kind of stuff."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Y'know, that's actually a really smart idea. Mind if I help out a little?" What Riley said was unfortunately true though. The wasteland was a hostile place no matter where you went, and that meant it was a hard environment to raise a child. Still, they would be raised around the Gator Teeth, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Uh... Riley?" said Gadget as he stuck his head through the door of the room she had gone into. "Are you in there?" He was very curious as to what Riley could have been doing, but knowing her, it was probably tech related. If that was the case, Gadget hoped that he could lend a hoof with whatever she wa doing.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Because she now had a rather large faction to lead, Redwood didn't have much time to focus on whatever Riley was doing. Plus, she also tended to spend more time at the ship, since it was their forward base in the Wetlands. Gadget stayed at the Vault, mainly to be close to Riley, although he wondered what she was doing alone all the time. One day,he decided to go down to the lower levels and see what was happening.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget hugged Riley and said, "Riley, it's okay now. I'm here for you now, and I promise I always will be." She had certainly been through an ordeal, and Gadget couldn't imagine what had happened to her. He didn't want to leave her side ever again. Gadget just wanted her to be safe.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Seeing as how Redwood needed to get the cruise ship up and running, she decided to just let Riley go. As usual though, Gadget was by her side. "Hey, it's okay," he said as he sat down next to her in the truck. "Riley, I promise I'm not mad or anything. I'm just glad you're back."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood went up to the upper levels to meet Riley, and Gadget followed when he saw Riley come out of the water. "Ah think we got ourselves a new fortress," said Redwood, a bit proud of their work. "Riley, are you okay?" asked Gadget, relieved that she wasn't dead.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Unlock th' doors, sweep th' rest of th' hold and find Riley," ordered Redwood. Echo squad quickly complied, and allowed the two other squads in to assist them. In the hold, they found a plethora of supplies and weapons, as well as bounty of spare parts. "She's in the water, ma'am," said one soldier after looking overboard at the sunken boat.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, What was waiting for the officer was practically a firing squad. Redwood and the rest of Echo squad was waiting outside for him, and the instant the officer walked out, they all gunned him down. Hopefully, they would be able to Riley before she was too badly hurt.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood was ready for a situation like this. Echo squad had been personally trained by her, and she had a plan for a standoff like this. At her signal, two taps of her hoof on the ground, each soldier fired almost simultaneously, each at one Militia troop's head.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood received a distress call from the squad clearing out the hold, and immediately had two more squads, as well as Echo squad and herself to go down there and assist. Rather than go for a frontal assault, Redwood ordered the two other squads to flank the attackers.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, One of the squads tasked with clearing out the lower section of the ship started with the hold, and at the sight of Riley being kidnapped, began firing at the Militia officer who had taken her. Back on the upper levels, Redwood and Echo Squad had encountered minimal resistance.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Redwood along with Ehco squad took the top few floors of the ship and the other squads took the bottom. The ship was obviously a good stronghold, and it was Redwood's intention to take it for the Gator Teeth. This would seriously weaken the Militia, as well as better establish their presence.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Unfortunately for the Militia, the Gator Teeth were ruthless, and the Militia troops attempting to swim away made for easy targets. Once they had mostly cleared out the exterior, Redwood climbed up on top of Gadget's truck and said, "Ah what that ship sweeped and cleared! Echo squad, yer with me."

    @@The Pixelated Pony, "Go, go, go!" yelled Redwood who was leading the charge. She had made sure to have their troops positioned everywhere around the cruise ship the night before, effectively boxing in the Militia. With the extra help from Riley, they were sure to win this.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget swore at Riley being in trouble, but he couldn't help, at least not now. When the cruise ship was just a few hundred feet away, he gunned the truck and rammed straight through the Militia's forward defenses, allowing Gator Teeth troops to swarm in.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Before she crashed, Gadget blushed at what Riley said. Unfortunately, he had to focus more on the task at hand. The front of the truck had been reinforced and a makeshift ram was added to it, and Gadget intended to use it to break through the Militia's defenses.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, Gadget drive up beside Riley in his own truck and said, "What do you think?" When he had heard that they were storming the beach, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for Gadget to see Riley again, and he hoped that she would be open to coming back with him.

    @@The Pixelated Pony, The sounds of yelling and gunfire filled the morning, as almost the entire Gator Teeth fighting force was storming the beach. Their goal was to take the cruise ship that the Militia used as a base here, and using what he had learned from Riley, Gadget managed to get a truck of his own in working order for use in the battle.
