This episode has me loving Changelings even more. I can see Thorax and Spike becoming really close friends in the future. Hasbro I want to see more of Thorax!!!

What I Liked About the Episode:

- Spike the Brave and Glorious trying to go incognito

- The secret hoof dance used to identify Twilight

- The guards and their serious demeanor with a side of humor

- Thorax mirroring Spike's movements

- Thorax's forms: Spike, Crystal Hoof, and of course a rock (Not only can changelings turn into other ponies but they can become different species and inanimate objects)

- Thorax's hissing (It's terrifying but cute all at once)

- Spike's first music number (I would love to hear him sing more in the future)

- The background behind Thorax's life

- Twilight befriending the changeling after learning from Spike

What We Learned About Changelings in This Episode:

- Changelings CAN TALK!!!

- They have emotions

- They have long tongues

- Can change into a pony, a different species, and inanimate objects

- There is a changeling kingdom somewhere out there

- They live similarly to that of a hive of bees

- Changelings start out as eggs, then larva, and so on

- Queen Chrysalis is the mother of the changelings (literally)

- They feed on taking on the form of a loved pony/creature or off of the friendships they have with others (without changing)

- They can sense strong levels of love

What Questions I Still Have About Changelings:

- Do changelings have mates and children?

- Is Chrysalis the only changeling able to reproduce? --> The reproduction cycle of bees

- Do the changelings social society act those those of a bee hive?

- Are the growing stages of a changeling similar to bees? --> Development stages of a bee

- Do changelings have a limit on how long they can take one form?

- Can changelings have different colored bodies and hair?

- Do changelings ever just eat "normal food"?

- Must a changeling set eyes on a form they want to become before they can transform or can they create their own form?

The new episode was epic! Let me just say a few questions have finally been answered.

I think of Lightning Dust being kicked off the team as a temporary banishment. I can see her trying again to become a wonderbolt. Like Spitfire said, they are constantly looking out for the best flyers of Equestria and Lightning Dust is definitely one of them. I honestly hope Rainbow Dash doesn't have to convince her to change her ways. I am hoping that Lightning Dust already figured that out on her own.

This episode I have been waiting to see for a long time. I'm honestly surprised it has taken them so long to bring the Changelings back. Very little is known about them so I hope Thorax will be able to shine some light on Changelings and their ways. Maybe we'll finally get to see how similar the race is to insects. I'm almost positive that Chrysalis is going to show up in this season, hopefully for the season finale. All I ask is that they don't make Chrysalis become good. We already have enough villains like that. It would be cool if there was a split between the Changelings; those who followed Chrysalis and those who wanted to be friends with the ponies of Equestria.

I really liked the new character, Quibble. I wouldn't mind seeing him in another episode in the future. However, I do want to know what his natural hair color is. LOL! The episode was a fun one. I will definitely watch it again in the future. 

I'm actually more excited about seeing/learning more about changelings considering our knowledge on them is very limited. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing more Sunburst or Starlight (or both even) but I'm way more interested in knowing whom the changeling will be impersonating, if not more than one pony. If I were a changeling I would impersonate either one or more of the mane six if I wanted information right away. Or else I would impersonate one of the background ponies to be more casual about getting information.

Well they are ponies. The honestly don't even need a currency because they could just go scavenge for food and shelter. But since the show is for kids and friendship spreads all over equestria, I don't think poverty is a very big problem at the moment. Now if Celestia was very greedy then, yes there might be a lot of poverty.

Do any of the mascots have pets?

I like tot think the bat ponies live in the caverns under Canterlot castle and only come out at night (just like regular bats would).  That would explain why we don't get to see them that often.  After all, when was the last time you saw a regular bat IRL?  Even so, they do show up every once in a while (like how they were just casually walking around Canterlot Castle in "it's about time").

Very good point about the bat ponies sharing the same characteristics as real bats. I last time I saw a bat was at night, so point made! I'm not sure sure about them living in the underground caverns but that does seem like a logical place for them to spend their time. I re-watched "It's About Time" and I didn't see any bat ponies. All I saw were normal canterlot guards that were grey. The last time I saw a bat pony in any of the episodes was in "The Cutie Re-Mark Part 2" when Nightmare Moon was ruling Equestria. 

I would love to have an episode that explains more about spike's past such as his relationship with Twilight and her family. Or I really would really like to see an episode where Spike is transformed into a pony and sees what the ponies have to deal with on a daily basis. Lol! Can you imagine?

One last question...Is it canon for Viola and Nova having crushes on each other?

Sounds interesting! I have a really fun idea in mind already. How many users are you expecting to enter? I looked at the folders of past competitions and it didn't seem like a ton of people entered. Also to clarify, we can have any kind of characters either canon or fanmade interacting with one or more of the mascots?

 I was just a few minutes away from completing an online course and when I clicked the submit button it said my course had expired. AHHHHH!!!! They better let me turn in my work or I am going to kill someone!   

I need help with color palette ideas for this character I am creating. In case you are wondering, yes I drew her myself on paper, then made her digital Her body design I really don't want to change around to much but I will hear ideas for things to add or change. Since this is a rough draft, feel free to make edits to her her outline, such as hair, color, attire, etc. by using the actual picture. Or just feel free to give me examples/ideas bellow. Also, if you could possibly show color codes that would be great!

- A subspecies of pony

- Still developing personality

- Her hair was kind of based off Native Americans

- Doesn't have a cutie mark (paints one on or has someone with magic create one for her)

- Her appearance will change drastically due to an upcoming war (will have mane and tail cut short)

- Often adorns mane and tail with feathers (eagle, songbirds, peacock, etc.)

- I would tell you more but I want to keep some information a secret in case you happen to read my future fanfic.

Five words...IT.IS.A.KID.SHOW! You got to remember that kids love to sing/music in general. Since Hasbro originally planned for the main viewing audience to be kids, then having singing characters was a must. Considering now that only 20% of the viewers are kids, then the songs in the past few seasons have gotten more elaborate for the older audiences. 

Here is a pony couple I made for a competition using Sumopaint. The male is Candy Cloud and the female is Flare Blitz. These characters are owned by annaebell on CS.

I always saw Pinkie as a being that transcends the laws of physics as ponies know it.  She has some kind of magic beyond ponies understanding, and they just sort of accept it.

I do like the new Starlight but I feel like she has become very timid and uncertain about herself. Before she was redeemed she was bold and aggressive. Now she has lost a ton of her confidence. I would, however, like to see her interact more with the main six, apart from Twilight.
