  1. Your signatures are actually the normal size, in one dimension that is, the limitations for users is as stated.

    Quote

    up to 600 x 100 pixels

Everybody's signature image is limited to being 100 pixels tall and can be as wide as 600 pixels, mine being an example of this, it is the same height as both of yours but just as wide as possible. :)
However, a subscription of $10 and above will allow you to have a signature twice the height (200 pixels) with the width allowance remaining 600 pixels.

    Aaaaaactually videos require more effort.

That... is what I implied :twi: I believe we have a misunderstanding afoot, allow me to rectify.

I know videos and tutorials would have a greater impact and prove more sucsessfull, considering the lesser amount of effort that would be involved I decided to pitch this idea.

"This idea" meaning a written guide being pinned.

Oh Boy. This was a great platform for discussion, however I hope that statement is not indicative of what generated this topic -- a staff communication. These suggestions always work better when the initiative is not derived from getting told you did something wrong. If that's the case then I feel as if I may have wasted my time even posting this. If not, disregard.

I know videos and tutorials would have a greater impact and prove more sucsessfull, considering the lesser amount of effort that would be involved I decided to pitch this idea.

This is more relevant to convenience for other users, lots of people are unsure on where to post and would benifit from a complete rundown on how things work and what they are expected to do, I know, not everyone will read it and it won't prove 100% effective but it should be relatively easy to do compared to a video or tutorial

Maybe one day we will have videos, but until then having at least written guides that goes into detail for those who are interested could indeed prove themselves.

insure all the information is accurate and updated.

Naturally, editing or perhaps creating one from scratch is in order.
regardless of that it is the "Ultimate MLP Forums Posting Guide" posted by a staff member for the users to reference, as a simple user my business is to follow the rules and guidelines established by the staff team of this forum, if that is our reference than that is our reference, making sure the regulations set buy the staff are up to date is not my responsibility but the responsibility of the staff who make and enforce them, an excellent point to be raised, If the standard has changed the people must know and the guide should be updated. :)
I said what I wanted to say, I believe having an accessible posting guide will greatly benefit the users and may make things easier for the staff, anything further is back seat moderating out of my control.

  5. There is a Reporting Guide Pinned in the Castle Throne Room, extremely useful might I add, while digging around some much older threads I stumbled upon the Posting Guide located in the Castle Throne Room, it struck me as odd that this thread is not pinned like the Reporting guide, as such a useful recourse for new or just unsure members I believe it should be.
Not only that but having a posting guide pinned in the Welcoming Plaza or at least a link to it would be a godsend for new ponies who don't visit the Caste throne Room for whatever reason and are eager to begin posting.

Dude, you should have showed up at season one and two. The fanbase used to be all those things. Used to be.

And really, as someone who's been in the fanbase since 2011, let me be the one to tell you that having such high hopes was the absolute worst decision I had ever made during my time in this fanbase. The more pragmatic fans at the time warned about putting greater stock into our fan community than it actually is and ever will be and they turned out to be absolutely right. Unless you want to end up bitter like me over this, you'll put a stop to these ideals, for they are just that. We're still people and there are people who will exploit or feed off of you like vampiric parasites either for personal gain, amusement, personal satisfaction or some other shallow, self-serving motive. Don't be putting yourself through that shit for the sake of hope.

I can see your intentions and I appreciate your concern, If you will allow me to justify, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." A fantastic quote and one relevant to my point, If every last member of this community were to pick up the mentality that hope is lost and that there is no point in even trying what good would come of that?

It sometimes only takes a few words to make a person start thinking "maybe there is something I can do" I know what I said will not be enough for everyone, but even If I made one or two people take a step back and think, that will be enough for me.

I have no idea what things were like back then, so I cant compare it to now, but I know for a fact there are still tons of good people, some of which even setting an example for others to learn off of and I take comfort in knowing that there are still people considering and acting upon those teachings.

  10. For the community I wish for a change in social structure per say, I wish for unity, camaraderie and encouragement. So many bronies out there suffer from depression, lack of motivation, lack of self confidence, loneliness, poor physical and mental health and there are some who see no way out but the unthinkable.

We all have one thing in common, we watch a show that revolves around great morals and friendship, I wish to see more people in the fandom adhering to these morals and teachings. I wish to see more people extending their hands out and offering to help up those in need and for those in need who stay silent, I wish for them to use their voice, knowing it is safe to do so and that they will receive whatever assistance they need from their fellow members of the community.

It is my soul wish for this community that we all play our part to help one another.

Wearing make-up is also a norm many people seem to follow so it makes me a bit ashamed that I'm not into it.

Noooooo natural (real) beauty all the way! If you can go outside without make-up on its a clear indicator of having more self confidence regarding your appearance than a lot of other girls, That's something to be proud of in my eyes.

As for myself, having fast growing facial hair, I personally prefer a clean shave. I see I'm not alone with this one.
