This is a followup to my previous blog proving atheism to be a religion.

So a new argument as sprung up and it's at the forefront, and this argument is that one can be an agnostic and an atheist at the same time. This is because "atheism deals with belief and agnosticism deals with knowledge." This has taken me a ton of time to argue against, but I do think I've come up with something of value and grown as a result.

I'll try to find a couple good definitions for these terms. Taken from merriam webster -
    1. Atheism - a disbelief in the existence of deity
    2. Agnosticism - a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable
    3. Knowledge - the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association
    4. Belief - a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing

And I would like to submit one more term, albeit with my own definition

    5. Absolute knowledge - irrefutable true knowledge

If we can more or less agree to these definitions without any key major hiccups then I can start. But for the record I've already addressed why disbelief is belief in my last blog.

To know something means to have knowledge that it is true. To reference the definition, this means that you have become familiar with something or gained experience of something a number of times and thus have evidence to say that it is true. For example, if you erase your pencil drawings with an eraser many times you may be inclined to say that the eraser can remove the drawings you create with a pencil, and for good reason! You have done so many times after all, and the many times you have done so is a ton of evidence to say that it will work the next time you try as well. But despite this evidence, that doesn't mean that it necessarily will work because you still only possess evidence and not the absolute knowledge that it will work. Thus, what knowledge in the context of the first definition really is, is belief supported by evidence.

Now I must question, is there a difference between belief supported by evidence and belief not supported by evidence? Not particularly, because when it comes to seeking absolute knowledge evidence is simply an observation of the unknown and can't actually provide any pathway to absolute knowledge. Evidence can change at a whim, because we have no absolute knowledge that it can't, and because we don't possess that absolute knowledge any evidence we collect is ultimately insignificant for anything other than practical purposes. In short, belief supported by evidence is really belief supported by belief because you must place confidence in the evidence you gather to even acknowledge that it is real.

What is a belief? A state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing. Sounds exactly like "knowledge" now, does it not? When a person says they "believe in God" what does that mean? It means they trust something to be true, or accept it as true, or in the context of knowledge - know it to be true.

And what does it mean to know or believe something is true? It means you believe or know something is true without the absolute knowledge that it is true. To do this you must believe or know or have confidence that absolute knowledge exists that proves it to be true somewhere, you just don't possess it.

Now lets take the definition of Agnosticism - a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable. What this means is that an agnostic believes absolute knowledge is unknown or unknowable. So if one believes absolute knowledge is unknown or unknowable, it also goes to say that you don't know if absolute knowledge exists at all, and by this token it is illogical for an agnostic to claim to believe or know anything to be true because the claim that something is true itself implies that absolute knowledge exists somewhere that proves it to be true

Lets take the definition of Atheism - a disbelief in the existence of deity. What this means is that an atheist believes a deity does not exist, or in other words - knows a deity does not exist. Or to rephrase - an atheist has confidence absolute knowledge exists that proves that the existence of a deity is false.

So logically the question must be raised: how can one logically claim to not know or be unable to know absolute knowledge exists yet make a claim that requires you to have confidence, or believe, or know absolute knowledge does exist? How can one be an agnostic and an atheist at the same time?

And perhaps I am mistaken somewhere in this mess of an essay but it was rather... enlightening on some levels I suppose to go through my thoughts

I'm doing this because the arguments atheists make can make this confusing and I want to be able to look and easily point out the logic without confusing myself. First to get the definitions out of the way: (I'm taking these definitions off dictionary.com by the way, if you have issue with them tell me below and explain why)

Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe

Atheism: the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
    or
disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

Agnostic: A person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena

Now if you are willing to accept the first definition of atheism here then it is easy to make the connection to why it is a religion. It is a belief concerning the cause/nature/purpose of the universe, specifically saying it was not created by any god or a specific god. If you're a christian you might be atheist towards the muslim God and say that he doesn't exist for example.

The second definition is where many atheists try to make the case it isn't a religion. Why? I dunno, I guess they're scared to acknowledge and attach the word religion to the belief that they themselves have created a stigma towards. It's ironic in a way, if I'm using the word ironic right.

Atheists will say it's not a belief, it's a disbelief! We acknowledge that we don't know, but we reject the idea that your God exists because of a lack of evidence.

So it gets complicated here, what are they claiming?
    1. Atheism is a disbelief
    2. We acknowledge that we don't know for sure or can't know for sure
    3. We reject the idea that your God exists because of a lack of evidence

Okay so what is a disbelief?
Disbelief: the inability or refusal to believe or to accept something as true.

    1. So If I'm a Christian and I say "my God is the real God" and you refuse to accept that statement as true, then you must believe that statement is false because it is the only option you have left. To refuse an idea to be true that you can not prove to be false is founded on belief, not knowledge. In short, a disbelief is still a belief.

2 & 3. If an atheist says he is logical, then he would be an agnostic. I don't know how one can weigh evidence against the existence of God, but even if there was only a 0.000000000001% chance of God's existence it is still a belief to make the claim that either "God is real" or "God is fake". If you truly acknowledge you don't know or can't know then that makes you an agnostic.

Now the atheist will say belief and knowledge are not contradictory, but they are. You either recognize that you don't have knowledge, or you don't. You can not be an agnostic atheist because an agnostic recognizes that to know you must have knowledge. You can be an agnostic that hopes there is no god, but you can not be an agnostic and hold [any] belief (out of lack of evidence or otherwise) at the same time, because to hold a belief is to assert you don't need to have knowledge to know.

There is also a third argument that atheism or agnostic atheism is not a religion, and that is to say that it is not a belief, it is an absence of belief, and thus not a religion. This is easily debunked as an absence of belief is to hold that you have no belief at all. Either this means you are agnostic and don't form beliefs because you recognize that you can't know without knowledge, or that you simply don't have the mental capacity to form a belief when asked if you believe in God or are told that God exists,in which case you're probably not an atheist either.

I have a vision of what I'd like to see, but what is the significance in putting forth the effort? What is the significance of a better world? Why fight for a future I may not even be able to be a part of?

By example or through force? The ladder is such an appealing option, but alas, my hopes are too strong for compromise.

And how can I change anything when I don't even have an ounce of influence on my own brother?

My hopes and dreams are constantly at war with the emotional despair of the rest of the world seeking nothing but instant self gratification, hoping for nothing more than a boost of pride to live out the rest of their lives in pleasure and feelings of superiority over their brothers and sisters. Oh so often I wish to give up this hope and dive in along with them, but I can not. I've discovered the bottom the rabbit hole, and though it torments me I can not go back.

What to do what to do. Give up and die or acknowledge the truth that I am but one human. One human that can only occasionally make a connection to one other person at a time. One human through whose tremendous efforts over a lifetime may only seldom influence another to hope to be better by hoping for the better.

I may die tomorrow, but I guess there is value in fighting for a future, at least I hope. To hope that living has more significance than nothing. To hope that there is something beyond this dreadful cage I've been deserted in. But I suppose I have no choice... I would rather die then give up this hope, and if I entered the next world and found out this hope had significance I don't know if I could face those who gave it to me.

So the question now is what to do with it, although It's not much of a question because I already know the answer. And the truth is I've always known it, I simply never wanted to acknowledge it - because working so hard to become the best version of myself despite knowing the efforts only truly trickle down to the people who are a part of me is a hard truth to swallow, more so perhaps when they are so few in number and the shadows of doubt hover over even them. I may have defeated pride in theory, but not in practice.

I am but one human being, changing the entirety of the world is beyond my scope. And in acknowledging this, I think I may have brought my giant hopes a small step closer to being fulfilled.

After all, even in Jesus' lifetime he had but twelve apostles.

Lets get this out of the way first. If you like chess and you have a 3ds get this game, it's very fun and can be very addicting

On the other side of the coin it's the most frustrating fire emblem game I've played yet not counting the sheer difficulty of the console games. So why is it the most frustrating and why does it make me want to throw my 3ds against the wall?

If you remember Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones sometimes reinforcements will arrive for the enemy and you'll have to go back and kill them or cover your flank. They'll pop up near the edges of the map or come up or down from staircases or fly in on a pegasus. It's okay though, because once they show up it's your turn again.

Well not in this game. In this they just show up and attack right away, and in my opinion this has COMPLETELY RUINED THE GAME. It gives you absolutely zero notice, and forces you to watch every staircase and all the spaces along the edge of the map. If you have a pegasus knight or a dancer or a healer they're screwed unless you make sure you have forces barricading every hallway off so they cant just commit suicide and run in the middle of your whole army and take out one of your supporting characters in a single hit.

There is absolutely no way to know if a pegasus knight is gonna pop up and kill your dancer on an outdoor stage. Theres no way to know if an archers gonna pop up and take out one of your pegasus knights on an indoor stage. Sometimes Paladins will appear and run up and even take out a decent fighter if their health isn't all the way up, and sometimes reinforcements will appear when you've carefully calculated how you're gonna take out an enemy squad and then I'm screwed again

I mean OH MY GOD NINTENDO. You make some great games but then you just ruin them by making the stupidest decisions. You're making me constantly account for staircases and you put them all over the room. I can't even effectively barricade off hallways because there is absolutely no way to know whats coming

Fire Emblems compared to chess a lot. Okay, so how about a game of chess where your opponent can bring back queens and knights to any space on the side of the board on their turn?

.... Sorry, after losing a dancer on this same stage for the 5th time now from a random enemy spawning on a random staircase that had never spawned there in my prior hour long attempts, I'm a little on edge

Having to replay stages because enemies that I can't account for suddenly appear and kill off my characters.

    .......................................................

I bet this game is actually fun on casual mode. I dunno why I choose hard, might as well have just gone with lunatic if I'm replaying levels this much

Ok class it's time to have a seat and be educated by your good friend Hollowshield. Remember class, I am looking out for you and your best interest so trust everything I'm about to say 100%.

    Lets begin with banks.

Now to be fair not all banks are evil, just all the banks I've ever been to which probably include all the banks in America because they're regulated by the government. Now you may be asking "Why are banks evil Hollowshield?" To answer your question I must first ask you what do you believe a bank is supposed to do? What is their job? Why do you put your money in the banks? The answer is to protect your money. And they do this, undoubtedly, and even better - they pay you to do it by giving you interest! Sounds too good to be true right? Well, that's because it is

How do banks just give you free money for using their money protection service? Where is this money coming from? And perhaps even a bigger question is how can they possibly afford to insure everyone's money at the same time while giving out money for free?

Banks make money by gambling with the money you give them in the stock market. Doesn't seem so bad right? Well... what happens if their gambling makes them lose money? How can banks insure everybody's money when their method of making money is taking risks? That's easy - because they're insured by the federal reserve. Wait what? so what's the big deal with that you might ask?

So lets just do a hypothetical situation here to help explain why this is bad: The banks promise you interest. The banks promise your money is insured. The banks lose a crap load of money on a bad investment. The banks call up the federal reserve and tell them they lost money and they need more to keep good on their promises of interest and insuring your money. The federal reserve prints them more money so that they have bills to give to you - their valued customer. Repeat this a bunch of times and what happens? A lot more money is printed and is now circulating around the country.

But you can still withdraw all your money right, so they can't be all bad? Sure. But since there is a lot more paper bills flying around your money is actually now worth less than when you put it in there.

Another hypothetical: 5 people give 5 gold bars to the bank and the bank gives each of them a $100 bill. The bank wants to invest in 5 different companies and gives each of them a $100, and subsequently tells each of them that they have the gold in the bank to prove they're worth something. But all the companies fail and now their are 10 $100 bills flying around. 10 bills and 5 bars of gold means that they're each only worth half a bar now, meaning the people who put their gold in the banks to be protected in the first place just lost a half bar of gold each. And this is what causes what we know as -INNFFFLLLAAATTTIIIIOOOONNNNN! Ahem. Inflation.

But it doesn't really matter though, because the government forces you and all banks to accept this form of currency... so it won't really matter if you use a bank or not if the rest of the country is because the government insuring banks makes us all lose collectively when we are all forced to accept a piece of paper as value

Now maybe you have or haven't realized this yet, but there is only one way for a bank to be legitimate -and that is if you pay them to protect your money. Think about it. Would you go to a bank that told you they might lose your hard earned money by investing [gambling it] it, or a bank that told you they would absolutely protect it for a small fee? Would you use a babysitter that sat for free but forced your kids to help walk old grandmas across the street to help her make cash with a chance they could be run over by a car, or a babysitter that charged a fee and looked out for them?

You don't like the analogy? To bad cause it works.

    I'm really bored today...

I just had a conversation with a few of my friends and a super anti-religious guy. He was saying that "God" doesn't exist and the sooner you stop believing in what can't be proven the sooner you will be happier and more peaceful. He was also saying the world would be a utopia without religion and the bible. And he said people hate because of the fear of what they don't understand. No, I hate because you're an idiot.

I'm ok with people having their own beliefs but when you start preaching about it to people who don't give a fuck, I'm going to tell you to take your atheism and shove it so far up your ass that it kills you.

You don't have to not believe in "God" to be happy and live a good life. "God" is always there to give people hope.

You can be happy with yourself with any god of any sort.

It kind of reminds me of some things some bronies do. And some of those who believe it are atheist.

Ever since the first episode I saw, well... the second episode.. the first episode I saw was that one where Pinkie Pie was babysitting... Well ever since the second episode I saw where Applejack completely owned Rarity during the episode where they did the slumber party thing I always knew Applejack was the best.

Why is Applejack the best? Easy. Because she knows that Rarity is the worst. Applejack knows that Rarity is just annoying and cares too much about cleanliness and fashion and other dumb stuff like that. And what makes Applejack even better is she knows the true meaning of life is not that dumb stuff, and she's not afraid to work hard and can have loads of fun just doing simple stuff like playing in the grass with her friends. She puts no stock in that noob fashion stuff that Rarity partakes in to sound sophisticated and appeal to a bunch of uptight fashion noobs that think they're better than everyone else

so yesterday i was talking to my mom and i was like "i feel like an indian" and she was like "you are, you're a great part Sioux indian on my side"

And I was like wow. I always kind of thought I belonged with native americans but this explains everything. Did not see this coming. I think I inherited all of the Native American blood from my family too.

What if God split him/herself into a trillion pieces and made a trillion virtual reality machines. And these virtual reality machines had ranges going from easy to difficult and they put God in this world playing as us (so we're technically god). And if God put the virtual reality machine on easy he has a really easy life, and if he put it on hard he got a really hard life, and that's the explanation for everything?

So often I hear atheists say how stupid it is to believe in any form of God or religion and how they are the direct cause of all the worlds problems. Then in the next paragraph they'll be spewing some crap about how humans have some moral obligation to maximize pleasure - meaning healthcare + foodstamps + all that progressive civil rights causes. No.

If you are an atheist, then there is no such thing as morals. There is no such thing as good and bad and labeling humans as such is completely asinine. If humans are simply animals then you need to be consistent and shape your beliefs as such. I don't think any sane person would label any action taken by a dog as "good" or "bad" so don't do it to humans either

Quit calling racists, thieves, killers, and rapists bad - because if you are an atheist there is no such thing as good and bad. Advocate the belief that they're animals. If you want to kill them or lock them in prison because you don't feel safe then say that, but don't call them bad or their actions bad.

So to conclude, if you are an atheist I would appreciate it if you did not act as if anything is good or anything is bad and just lived your own life not having an opinion on anything because the only thing that should really matter to you is attaining physical and mental pleasure in the moment through any means possible

    Thanks

I don't understand them. Why would anyone choose to not believe in a God, or at the very least an afterlife? You can imagine any afterlife you want, you can come up with your own religion and your own thoughts on what might lie beyond this life, but you choose to believe that we're just an accident and on our way to rot in the ground?

Now that I think of it, does being atheist mean you just don't believe in any God or you don't believe in any concept of an afterlife or anything like that?

Anyway back to the main point... Even if scientists were to prove that we evolved and that the entire universe was capable of creating itself, that does not rule out the possibility of a God or an afterlife. Science can tell us many things, but you can always keep asking "why". Why is something like gravity a law of the universe? Why does anything even exist? In the end the only answers science will be able to offer to questions like these are "it's just the way it is".

Why would anyone accept an answer like that when there's so much more hope in an answer they could even come up with themselves? I dunno, it's pretty depressing to think that way in my opinion
  12. Titan Rising
I have absolutely zero respect for anyone who buys something that someone else made and then turns around and says "wait you have more money than me now", and subsequently has everyone else in the area pull out a gun and say "give me back the money until we break even"

I dunno maybe I could write more on this topic but this is really all that needs to be said. The thought that there are actually people that believe this is the moral thing to do is seriously disturbing to me
  13. Titan Rising
So I've been having this thought lately...

What if there exists a realm of ideas where all ideas come from, and this realm is also God. The realm is constructed of something like "willpower" or something like that i dunno exactly, and an eternity ago this God created a reality/dimension where the ideas could be experienced. And what if this God split up his willpower into an infinite amount of shards that are contained within all living beings, essentially giving them the will to live. (That's another thing I've been thinking about... How could the unconcious inanimate matter of the universe possibly come together to create life without some kind of desire to do so?) Anyway, yeah, so maybe all life is a piece of God created to experience and live out ideas

There is another thought I've had also along the same lines...

Same concept, but what if this God instead wanted to seek out enlightenment for itself instead of just working out ideas, so maybe we jump from reality to reality/dimension to dimension living out experiences so that we might become enlightened

    or maybe.... both....???

hmm... I bet there is a video game to be made or a book to be written somewhere in these thoughts...

Here is what we should be teaching children:
-Face your fears, don't let them control you
-Think for yourself and assume nothing
-Be the leader of your own life
-Be responsible for your own life and your own actions
-Compete for the sake of competing in everything you do, both to better yourself and others
-Live for achievement and the moment, dream big. Don't expect and rely on wishes to come true, hope for them and do your best to make it happen.
-Accept your fate and learn from it

Would anyone disagree with these things?

Here is what [it seems to me] we are teaching children
-Scared? Hide, call the cops, tell a teacher, see a psychologist, do anything but address the fear head on. You need professional help in ALL cases
-You must have factual evidence to support an opinion other than your teachers, professor's, elder's, senior's, etc. in any field of social science or you're wrong
-Obey your leaders, they're better people than you.
-Accept that others are responsible for your life and if you do anything wrong then you're an outcast of society and probably mentally unstable
-If someone is better than you at something accept it
-Live for comfort, wish and wait for things to happen to you. Dream for mediocrity, if you were capable of being the best you would have been born a prodigy
-Don't accept your fate, blame others for it and sue them if you're likely to get away with it

lol. Seems funny but this is the kind of vibe I'm feeling from the grand old United States right now

So this is just gonna be a blog of me writing about music that matters to me and why. Maybe I'll update it daily or just do it every once in a while I'm not really sure. But I wanted to write something about this:

I've had it stuck in my head over the past couple days. I couldn't even sleep last night because it was stuck in my head playing over and over lol.

Teen Titans may be my favorite childhood cartoon, if you could call it that, me being around 12 or 13 when it came out. My friends and I used to watch it every week without fail, and I'd watch it every chance I could in between Saturdays. Something about kid heroes really resonates with me I suppose, maybe it's that they have so much hidden potential and I think of myself the same way, full of hidden potential that I could bring forth if only I try hard enough.

But moving on, this song is of a time when Terra and Beast Boy were having fun at a carnival. Some of her final truly happy moments before her plans with Slade were unveiled. There's something that resonates with me when I hear this melody, it sounds happy but it also sounds like some sort of great tragedy will soon fall. Maybe it's just because I already know what happened afterwards.

The music manages to make me angry. It was because Beast Boy wasn't able to forgive Terra she was lost to Slade until it was too late. For whatever reason I dwell on this moment even after so many years later. There is something also about someone falling into despair and self destruction because they have lost someone else's respect or can't find forgiveness that truly angers me.

The cheerfulness of the music reminds me of Terra being happy, and it makes me wish things turned out different. Out of any moment from any story, I wish this had turned out differently more than anything else.

So those are some thoughts an old piece of music makes me think about, for anyone who cared to read.

There's a bit of a stigma attached to the thought of anarchism. Even for me, the first thought that comes to mind is men killing each other in the streets, cars exploding, and cities burning to the ground.

What is anarchism? I like this definition: "The belief that all existing governmental authority should be abolished and replaced by free cooperation among individuals."

Ask yourself why we need government and see what answers you can come up with. I'd assume things like... people would kill each other, people would steal from each other, people would be taken advantage of. The question I would ask you next is would you kill anyone? steal from anyone? Take advantage of anyone? Is the law of the government the only thing preventing you from doing these things?

I see all the time threads saying things like "I wish I lived in equestria" and I see other threads saying things like "I wish the world was more like Equestria", and at the same time I'm reading posts saying things like "the world can't be more like equestria" or "I wish it could but it can't". And I can't help but laugh to myself and ask why not?

The worlds created in stories and shows and video games came from the human imagination. We are the very source of these ideas, they are reflections of our thoughts, and yet you have people claiming it's impossible for the world to be like Equestria where everyone gets along.

So what's this have to do with Anarchism? Well in a perfect world I imagine no government to be necessary. Everyone loves each other and wants to help each other out (I'll let you define "help" because I really don't want to go into that right now). A world where people don't need laws to help them do what is right. A perfect world is an Anarchist society - a world where people are free and trusted by their fellow man to chase after what they think is right because they are given the benefit of the doubt. And the key words here are "trust" and "benefit of the doubt", something lacking in the very premise of any government - as any government, by definition, seeks to control the actions of it's citizens through the threat of force.

The only reason (as far as I can tell) for anyone not to have hope for an anarchist society is because they do not trust or have faith in their fellow man, and I think that is a sad way to live.

So yeah I guess that's all I've got to say on the subject for now.

People have made it complicated. It's hard to believe that there was once a time when a child was not expected to go through 12+ grades of schooling lasting 12+ years to finally be able get a job flipping burgers huh?

Contrary to popular belief, people are not stupid, and that's what so many college graduates and old people seem to think these days. Don't share my view? You're stupid. I'm smart, you're dumb, you don't have my experiences and my experiences have enlightened me.

"Men need to be caged and controlled. If we let them free they'd kill each other in the streets over scraps of bread. Men need direction and the threat of force to keep them in check. It can not be assumed that average men have morals and values"

This is what I hear whenever someone argues on behalf of government, and you know what I think? I think it is the argument of the weak cowards that have no moral code of their own, and so they assume it is nessessary to bind all men by the same code. It is the argument made by men who fear death and live for nothing but their own self gratification

I don't know if I can ever get some of the things my sociology professor has said to me out of my head:
-You don't know what it's like to suffer
-If you have done as much research as me you'd arrive at the same conclusion
-Taxing for the sake of healthcare in order to keep everyone alive is the right thing to do
-You are incapable of achievement. Any achievement you have you have because society gave you the means.
-White people should be ashamed of their roots

Back then I thought he was a good man, misguided maybe, but he simply wanted the best for everyone. Now I've come to believe him and this philosophy to be the very essence of evil.

The world is not complicated, there are certain truths to it that no one can deny. One is that everyone is free to think and act, regardless of any law society creates. Another is that we are all bound to die. And another is that we do not own anything. Why then, are these men so eager to defy these truths? Fear

What has happened to the world is ultimate evil. They have convinced people that they deserve to live. By proclaiming themselves to be experts they have convinced people they do not have to think. Through the force of government and police they have convinced people they do not need to act to defend themselves. Through systems like welfare they have convinced people they do not need to act to ensure their survival.

The only truth they decided to keep was that we as individuals do not own anything - and that is because they own everything.

People debate over civil rights, as if they have a right to imprison our freedom of thought. People argue for the sake of health care as if they have a right to be taken care of. Let me tell you, if you had a right to these things you would have them already by the will of God.

People debate over which economic strategy is best as if the government is actually responsible for producing jobs and wealth.

You know what the result of all this is? 12+ years of schooling to be a fry cook. Kids can't have lemonade stands. People can't hire who they want to hire or sell who they want to sell to. People can't buy what they want to buy. People can't live where they want to live. The need to fill out page after page after page of information, writing down contacts to let people know I'm a social little butterfly that cares about making friends. Taking unnecessary college courses and paying far too much for credits and information that I do not even need a professor for.

We would give up our trust in each other, our confidence in ourselves, and the ability to dream - all because a few self proclaimed experts in suits say life is complicated because they've done the research. They can call me an idiot, I have no intention of living like that - I have no intention of being a slave to another mans cowardice, distrust, depression, or hopelessness.

I trust a mod won't delete this without reading through it first.

I would love to see some of your liberal faces after reading and clicking on this blog lol. And before I get the generic obligatory ignorant liberal matter-of-fact responses let me just set and define a few things here:

-When I say "Evil" I simply mean "not good". No I don't think "gay" people are under the influence of satan.
-No I don't hate "gay" people or liberals. I don't hate anyone.
-No I don't think they're going to hell nor would I condemn anyone to an eternity of hellfire burning their souls a hundred thousand miles below the surface of the planet, no not Adolf Hitler either.
-No this belief of mine is not founded in any religion

Now first off your probably wondering: "Hollowshield... Why would you say something as controversial as 'homosexuality is evil' ('evil' meaning 'not good' as I read the first part of your blog)." Well my friend there is a very good reason for this - it's because the term itself sets the precedent that people can only be one way or the other. People will say you are either straight, or gay, or a bisexual or pansexual (whatever that means I don't even know....). This is a blind assertion in itself; and I would be willing to wager that it is not the case. I would say that anyone who desires sex enough will go to whatever length they have to to get it. Case in point - don't drop the soap in a prison shower where what some people might call the "personal preference" flies right out the window and the source of the pleasure becomes quickly irrelevant.

So right now you might be saying "Okay Hollowshield what's your point...? Whats this even have to do with someone being homosexual or not? You're just referencing dirty desperate criminals."

The point is when someone who cares only for the pleasure desires it enough and becomes desperate enough they no longer care for the source. The only difference between them and someone who labels themselves a homosexual is that a homosexual has the freedom to choose the source. See what I'm getting at? A little? Not at all? Okay read a little further.

I'm gonna be blunt on this cause I'm getting a bit bored typing it out. "Gay Pride" - what is it? It's pride in the fact that you become sexually aroused by the same gender. Am I painting a picture yet? The homosexual lifestyle and gay pride message is centered around the belief that sex should be used for pleasure - not necessarily for the sake of reproduction. They then spout bigot at anyone who believes otherwise. Well I believe otherwise and thus I am against homosexuality - no not because some religion told me to but because it's what I think is right. Whether or not you wanna hate me for it and call me a bigot as if I have no reason to be against your belief is your choice and I don't really care.

"Well Hollowshield... What about liberals?" Oh yeah liberal socialists... Well I suppose I can't speak for all of them, but generally from my own experiences they're the ones that constantly support the mindset that sex is the end all be all reason for existence and act as if it's the most important thing an individual can achieve in life. And this applies to both "straight" and "homosexuals" and everyone else by the way.

So tell me, am I wrong to say any of this?

I'm getting so sick of people that think they deserve things and act as if their reality is important. People struggle - and they say I've been struggling for a long time I deserve to have a break and what do they do? They force the person beside them to carry their burden. And what's worse - they'll call you a bad person if you do not want to accept (as if you had a choice). They'll tell me it's immoral not to help them. Well you know what I think? I think you don't help a man to fish by giving him fish - keeping him alive simply for the sake of being alive.

You don't help a man by relieving him of his burden, you help him by believing in him during times where he doesn't believe in himself.

People get so caught up in their own realities that it seems to me they think themselves almost immortal. They think they deserve to be alive and to be happy - how can this possibly be the case when death is inevitable for all? How can someone claim they have a "right to life" when our existence was clearly and distinctively made mortal? How can someone claim they have a right to be happy when we have clearly been designed to struggle?

People will tell me that to be good I have to help them. What does this mean? It means that I have to make them comfortable. Their morals are founded on comfort. I can do nothing but laugh at such a petty reason for existing. These are the types of people that would cage us to protect us from each other and dress us in straight jackets to protect us from ourselves. I pity those who are indoctrinated into this philosophy, nothing good can come of it - nothing good can come of putting all the faith in yourself, leaving none for your fellow man.

As for me, I believe there is good and there is evil. There is no inbetween. I know it is true, it has to be - it has to be because I am able to conceive it. For what purpose is there in being good? I don't know, but I think it leads to true happiness.

I enjoy jotting down my thoughts, I think I'll do one about "gay pride" and "gay rights" next.

I think I've taken one economics class in my life and I didn't really understand it, but I'm gonna give my input anyway.

I think people who act as if there's one end all be all way to manage an economy are kind of stupid. There's plenty of economic strategies that work. On paper. Yes, thousands of economic plans that work on paper.

Well the truth is economic plans and strategies are bound to have ups and downs, its inevitable. Not only because there are so many contributing factors that make controlling and predicting the highs and low's of an economy effectively impossible but because economies are dependent on people - which are even more unpredictable.

Lets talk for a second about communism. Communism is dependent on people doing their jobs and giving and taking their share as is determined by the government. Well, there's a couple problems with this that I see: 1. It is dependent on everyone doing their job effectively and being satisfied with what they're being given in return; and 2. That the morale of the people is upheld

If not enough is being produced because people are not happy with what the're receiving for their work, or because the masses do only the absolute minimum of what is required of them, and in turn everyone is given scraps because what is given is according to need - then the people who work the hardest will stop or slow down and progress will come to a stand still. Once the collective is going down hill being fed scraps after all I hardly think any single man is going to start working harder

Now lets examine the near complete opposite side of the spectrum: anarcho-capitalism. Lets assume for a moment that everyone is getting along and not killing each other in the streets. There will be people who have a harder time making it while others sit comfortably on top. This is the harsh reality. But there is undoubtedly more freedom and opportunity to help yourself. People produce and innovate and work harder to make a better life for themselves, and as long as they do this the overall economy will thrive

There are a hundred thousand different economic philosophies inbetween, and the overall outcome is completely dependent on the mindset of the collective. It's easy to say "if everyone just does their part it will work!" on paper, but when people are working hard and getting little in return you can not expect them to continue purely out of duty on behalf of someone they don't even know, especially when there may be much more simple jobs that demand less work and give the same benefits.

So in conclusion, there is no one economic strategy that will bring prosperity to everyone, and anyone who think's that there is is stupid. Prosperity demands hard work from everyone both in mind and body, and there is no strategical shortcut that will ever change that
