@CypherHoof That's not much of an excuse for straight up bad design, especially in the first game where they could have done almost anything, instead of being restricted to mons they haven't done before (even if there are an absurd number of Pikachu clones...) 

Even though I typically like older stuff more than newer stuff... I'm sorry, but Gen 1 is the most overrated gen. It at least had the least creative Pokémon designs. (Examples include Magneton, which is just 3 Magnemites connected together, Poliwrath is just Poliwhirl when it gets angry, and Muk is just a bigger Grimer. Oh, and don't forget Electrode, which is just Voltorb but the colors swapped sides! Seriously, what was Game Freak thinking when they came up with Voltorb? "Durrr… uh... deh Pokeymanz get caught in deh Pokeyman Ball... so, let's make a Pokeyman Ball Pokeyman!)
