Eatery? EATERY?!?!?! I see this headline "giant lobster found at eatery", it just sounds so wrong to use that term. Like why not say restaurant? Are you trying to sound smart, cause it's giving me the opposite impression! Maybe some regions of the USA use it, but it's certainly not common around where I live.
It's like calling a bank "transactionery" or a grocery store "buyery/sellery". Like you don't put -ery at the end of a verb and call the business that!!! I might need to go to the "recovery office" (doctor) because of this butchering of words.
Ok rant over lol.

@Samurai Equine I think that's how I felt after watching the episode.
It was quite weird at times (and I don't think I even knew what it was referring to back then). 
It's been ages, but that's the only time I remember hearing anyone use the word.
