  1. Fortunately, I'm waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy past the phase in life where this was a constant but I got it incessantly during elementary and middle school years. High school was fine, thank Celestia. Anyhow, I got it for anything and everything. If there's an aspect to yourself you can think of, I got blasted for it. Wrong clothes, wearing glasses, not cool enough shoes, no friends, lame friends when I got a few, reading, not being an idiot, being able to answer questions the teacher had, not being good at sports, not liking the right music, my last name... the list is functionally endless. I still hold a great deal of animosity towards anyone who bullied me. No, I won't "get over it." >.>

    - Pioneer BDROM drive
    - Corsair RMx 750W PSU
    - Thermaltake F31 Suppressor w/ tempered glass side panel

Still need to get a new GPU and new drives for my new build. Looking to get an RTX2080, a pair of 8TB hard drives and one additional 2TB drive. Might end up with a 6TB drive if I can't find a decent enough 8TB for games.

  3. Most games made for the bygone eras can be done in a few hours. Plowed through many in the same sitting, though I generally don't. I like do a 100% run of Link to the Past in one sitting every couple of years. A lot of new games are easy to complete in only a few hours. It's only disappointing if the game sucks. So far, I've had good luck on that front.

  4. I have emulated as far back as Odyssey 2 and as current as WiiU. Takes a lot of time and effort to really make it work properly. Most of the time, I do it for simple convenience. Acquiring the hardware is generally cost prohibitive, especially in some areas. Looking at you TG16 and NeoGeo. I already collect PC-based games, I don't have the capital to buy genuine articles for things I want to play for every console generation. Emulation gives you, functionally, the same experience if you're talking about a console with a controller. I have enough space to house thousands of ROMs and disc/disk images, which I current have roughly 1100 spread across... oh... 45 different game platforms.

All of that is hooked into the EmulationStation frontend that I control with an Xbox One controller. Hard to beat amount of convenience. xD

How did you go with finding a doctor? I'm heavily leaning towards sterilization too as part of a long-term plan, but I heard far too many stories of some doctors refusing to give women a referral to someone who can do that.

I'm a transwoman. My treatment naturally stops my ability to have children. You really don't want to go my route...

  6. I don't work in retail but I work for a point of sale software company in the support department. More than once, customers have yelled and screamed, acted like jackasses and flat refused to listen to anyone in tech. There's one customer, however, who is a passive aggressive twat on email but lacks any balls so he doesn't act like a jerk over the phone. I run the ecom department for my side and I was helping said customer on an ecommerce issue. This customer likes to whine incessantly about the software I support, calling it "immature" or some other such insult. His complaint was that ecommerce orders created a billing and shipping contact for an in-store customer, even when they were identical and he asked about a cleanup. I told him that wasn't really as easy as he wanted and I could end up deleting things he wanted to keep. When I told him that, he came unglued. He replied with a long tirade about how terrible we are, how awful our product is and how immature and amateur our product is. I didn't dignify him with a response.

The other things that happen are the misogynist customers we've got. There are a small few who just refuse to work with women. And no, it's not men who act like this - it's primarily women! There's some other things. Oh right, like the time I had a customer threaten to sue the company because he didn't use our Magento integration properly, or the time we had to sue a customer. Good times in the world of retail support.

  7. I'm being chemically sterilized thanks to my current treatment so that's out of the question. Even if I wasn't, I still don't want kids. Very high chance of them inheriting some of my bullshit, which I don't want.

Tbh I kinda dislike people saying they are atheist and why.

Yeah, well, I dislike the religious nutjobs calling for me to burn because I'm not straight and I'm trans. Kind of a two way street, mate. Not saying you're part of that subset, but it's the idea in general.
